The buffet is in a hotel on the 4th floor. Walk through the parking lot and make your way to the elevator. I had no idea it would be so packed. My friends got their earlier than me. It was a 30 minute wait. As soon as we got in our waitresses asked us what we wanted. I got the bubble tea and soju. Then you literally had to run to the buffet. There are lots of stations and so many people. People's generally are cordial but lots of little children running around so you need to be careful. I got 4 plates of food and had to tap out. The pecking duck bao buns were good. Lamb chops were great. Tons of sushi options. The hibachi was a separate line you had to wait on. You tell the guy what you want then come back in 5 minutes. Plenty of fruit and cake for dessert. No matcha ice cream that day, so I just had vanilla. They also have a little crepe station. I got the cotton candy for fun. The liquor isn't included with the buffet price. I would recommend going on a weekday if you can. I don't like the idea that I can be trampled at any moment. But good experience. Very crowded at 6:30 on a Saturday eve. Food is plentiful but not all great. Lobsters are tough, the crab legs are puny, the Dungeness crab claws were so hard you needed a hammer instead of a cracker! The sushi was very good and many different choices. This buffet is absolutely beautiful! The staff are super attentive and friendly. We spent about 2 hours here and walked out STUFFED. The food is fresh and continuously replenished. Parking is valet and you pay upon exiting on the other end of the parking lot. We paid about $4, so it wasn't bad at all. Everything was perfect, except for the hibachi chef, who is very rude towards my sister . My sister had a question regarding the items that you select for the Hibachi and he enter very rudely, and after he completed the order, he literally just threw the plate in front of the wrong customer and that was it . He had a very rude facial expression with me and my sister . I really focus on the customer work ethic of a restaurant in any business a visit. Is not what it used to be. Crab legs extremely salty, this is done so you don't eat as much. They no longer provide you with the cocktail sauce for the clams. Just lemon. Our favorites are definitely variety of seafood dishes from scallops, fish, octopus, oysters, clams, crabs to the shrimps and snails! The dessert section was so awesome too with lots of choices from fresh fruits, cotton candy, soft swerve, cakes, chocolate dipped items, and so much more. I also thought the layout of the place made it really easy to navigate and browse what items to get. The service is also excellent, the staff was really quick in fulfilling our drinks order and ensuring that we have everything that we need. Three friends and I visited the restaurant recently. Upon entry, everything seemed fine roll and behold, we would discover that the food is locked their hair out. They were a few good pics, but overall five out of 10. The real kicker is the restaurant and their workers are rude. They don't respect their patrons at all we didn't even put the money in the bill yet and the ladies running up on us. I was scared actually. I was really surprised by this restaurant. My hubby found this place from his IG feed and wanted to try it. We went this past weekend and I didn't make reservations. We figured most buffets lay out the good dishes on the weekends so we went Saturday. The buffet was $55/person so I was kind of leary to spend so much on a buffet, but it was so worth it! The many stations had all different types of foods, they had a large sushi bar offering specialty rolls such as dragon rolls, spider rolls etc and also had a lot of different sashimi too, the fish was very fresh. I tried all the seafoods, the cold bar had escargot, oysters, clams, stone crabs and snow crabs on top of the shrimp and all were very fresh. The waitstaff was always by the stations and the dishes were refilled as soon as it ran low. The hot dishes were so good too, they had a seafood boil bar that looked yummy. I loved the sauteed snails, salt and pepper shrimp, clams and mussels, there was just so much I can't remember all the dishes. The only dish I didn't like was the lamb chops, it was a little tough and no flavor. As we ate, there were servers walking around offers choice meats and they were tender and delicious. It was really worth the money you spend. The dessert bar was to die for. If you still have enough room after stuffing yourself, the cakes and boba station was wonderful, they had a chocolate fountain and I saw them making cotton candy for the kids also. This is a very Chinese buffet. They have the basic dim sum breakfast food you would eat like spare rib, ha gow, chicken feet, tripe, and more. In addition to this, they even had all the cooked bbq meat like roasted duck, roasted pork, bbq pork, soy sauce chicken and more! My brother wanted to eat here so my family came on a Tuesday night, before 6pm, hoping it would be less crowded. It was $42.99/pp for dinner. I mean, you come to a buffet, not for the highest quality of food, but good unlimited food! Their sashimi wasn't bad but I wasn't a fan of most of the rolls. The rice was a little too hard for me, as if it was made a long time ago. Most of the hot dishes were good. I do remember the peking duck buns being a little better. For desserts, I thought the mango sago was delish! I got 3 little containers. The bubble milk tea wasn't the best, but again ok for something included in the price. They also have an ice cream machine and a chocolate fountain. I did like that they have plastic gloves around- they have signs that you are supposed to wear them while grabbing food, as well as wear your masks. There is something for everyone including a made to order stir fry area, crab legs, sushi, shrimps, fish, beef, chicken, variety of rice, noodles, veggies, soups, and of course fruits and sweet desert. Everything I tried was delicious. The service was quick, to the point I hardly noticed when the plates or cups were being taken away once they were set to the side. We were seated in the back and it was so hot and stuffy (I usually complain that it's too cold so it's unusual for me to make this complaint). There was a large selection of various Chinese food and sushi. However, the sushi was not fresh. I took one bite and left the rest for hubby to finish since he hates wasting food. Woah! Blown away by this buffet and the amount of unique stations it had. When you first get here, there are a ton of surrounding businesses and buildings that all share the same parking lot so it was very packed for a weekday at 630 PM. Once you walk in the building, you see a directory and elevator so you know where you're going. Walking into this place, the first thing I noticed was that it was HUGE. Then I noticed how gorgeous it looked. Lots of marble and elegant tones. It looks like a regular buffet with all the stations until you actually get in and go look around. Some of the most unique food ever. I'm talking super authentic bao buns, peking duck being carved in front of you, seafood and sushi galore.. whole crab, crab legs. Endless! There was a HIBACHI STATION! Where you pick your meat and they cook it for you. Super epic. Dessert seriously blew me away. Besides the amount of delicious treats - cheesecakes, red velvet slices, chocolate cake, etc. There was a chocolate fountain with churros and marshmallows around for dipping! Also a churro station where they made any flavor you wanted & cotton candy! WHAT! LOL They also had an ice cream station which is pretty typical but they had vanilla and matcha which was a great combination for the swirl in the middle. Keepin it real out here in College Point The neighborhood is full of tight bumpy streets, warehouses and just very residential at the same time, definitely didn't expect a buffet set up like this one. The place is pretty legit with good food all around. You not going to find Peter Lugar quality steak but what's there are still fresh and quality food. Service is great overall as well. You're required to wear gloves and a mask when getting food, and then can bring your plate back to eat afterwards. They have a good amount of sanitization, take your temperature beforehand, and I felt safe despite COVID precautions. The selection of food is fairly vast for asian food -- the have a crepe station, sushi area, ramen station, dim sum, salad bar, and the classics too! My only disappointments were that some of the food advertised on their website were not there (i.e. egg tarts were not present). There are plenty of all you can eat (AYCE) options in NYC, but the buffet version of this scene is lacking so hard that it immediately justifies places like The Buffet for existing in the first place. That being said, this place isn't the end all / be all for all things buffet, but it does fill the void created from the demand of gluttons like myself. Located in College Point, the Buffet depends largely on folks with cars to be able to dine here. There is the option of a shuttle if coming via public transit from Flushing. Before the pandemic, this place would be absolutely swamped on the weekends. I imagine now it's significantly more calm. The spread at the Buffet is pretty pedestrian compared to the mega eateries out there. However, with a Chinese focus and fairly abundant western options, there's still plenty of food to be had, even if it's mainly 3 star quality stuff at best. They do try to get creative with the food by offering things like crabs and peking duck and that's definitely appreciated. If you're a serious buffet goer and can sacrifice the notion of quality for quantity, then let the games begin. I would say most of their food have their on and off days -- sushi, general seafood, most of the hot food, desserts, and especially the dim sum. Typically a lot of the Chinese folks here are hunkering down crab legs, sashimi, and oysters when available. The prices might seem steep for a buffet, but given how rare these things are, I suppose I can give them a pass on the sticker tag. Sometimes the service is a real let down, but I've been fortunate to catch the staff on their good days. And the cold section of where sashimi and sushi are were mediocre. However, the staff are quite attentive and cleared up table as quickly as possible. My husband is a huge raw oyster fan, but even he was afraid to try it because it looked bad. The sushi rolls were so hard to chew- probably the seaweed has been sitting out for some time. This was my third time coming to The Buffet but my first time going to a buffet since Covid. I was nervous that the setup would be unhygienic but most of the workers wore masks and the window panes covered a good amount of the buffet areas. Food: as expected of a buffet, there is an amazing selection of hot foods, cold foods, and desserts. While there is a wide variety of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese dishes, I'd say they excel in Chinese cuisine more - think dim sum, stir-fry noodles, and banquet menu items. There is also a surprising amount of cook-to-order stations, such as a ramen/udon station, a Peking duck station, cotton candy station, and a crepe station. My husband was a big fan of the Peking duck station. While it's great that there is an abundance of options, only a few items were made to perfection. For example, the broth from the noodle station was too salty. The Korean pancake and fried chicken were alright but not the usual restaurant quality. The desserts were underwhelming, especially the bland coconut pudding and stiff marshmallow from the chocolate fountain. Skip the creme brulee (too eggy and big portion) and get the mango sago instead. Service: we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table around 1/2 pm on a rainy weekend. We got our drinks pretty quickly after getting seated and our dirty plates were cleared in a timely manner. They kept going around to the birthday peeps with a gong and cupcake, which I thought was a nice gesture. The only downside was the staff gave us our check once they saw that my party slowed down with the food, which was a little earlier than the 1.5 hrs we were supposed to have. Went back to the Buffet for a third time and omg it was such a great experience. The sashimi is no longer in little cups and is served on a platter so you can grab as much as you want! There was plenty of food including giant crab legs and employees walking around offering cuts of beef and meat on swords. A lot of the new options are good you can order at regular Chinese takeouts. The price for the overall buffet increased a lot as well. If you're going to go to a buffet in Queens, this is probably your best bet. I'd give them four stars, but after going for so many years, I have to talk about their awful business practices. The food is good for a buffet. I've never gotten sick from eating here, and that includes indulging at their raw bar. That's impressive at a buffet, especially with people's grubby hands grabbing shared tongs and whatnot. The buffets are refreshed and refilled during peak hours. The restrooms are generally clean, and they're kept that way. The parking sucks. It's no longer free, only discounted, and the neighborhood isn't the best for street parking. I manage fine because I'm from the area, but for anyone who is visiting, I expect it to be very confusing. My gripe is with the way they handle business. For example, not disclosing increased holiday prices on a weekday when you arrive and ask for a table. This is even more of an issue for regular customer - usually Asian, who don't observe American holidays (like my parents). The price difference between a normal weekday lunch and a holiday lunch, charged the same as holiday dinner, isn't nominal either. We expected less than $30 a person, but ended up with a bill of well over $50 per person. Another issue I've had, which they no longer do, is that they used to add an undisclosed service charge to the check. I've complained about this before, and I know they haven't practiced this in years, but it just adds to the list of shady business conduct. Most recently, an issue I had is that they advertise to close at 10:30 on Saturdays. I called in advance to make sure they still serve food up until 10:30. Their response is that they do, but last table seating is at 9:45 - I found this reasonable. I finally decided to go later on a Saturday with a party of 6 to avoid the ridiculous crowds. During our meal, I found out that they stop bringing out fresh food around 9:15. In fact, by 9:30 they start cleaning off the buffets and tables. They took away our tables' soy sauces by 9:40. We were charged the full Saturday dinner price, only to not have any fresh food for the last hour and fifteen minutes of the dinner service (keeping in mind their hour and a half seating limit). We were essentially just eating leftover food, with no fresh seafood or decent cuts of meat. I've been here countless times over the years, and though their food is good (again, for a buffet), I'm starting to feel more and more irritated by their business practices, and my latest experience made me feel completely ripped off.
