I visited this establishment based on a recommendation from one of my patients. And it did not disappoint. I had the fish and chips which were delicious. I opted for sweet potato fries, which were some of the best that I've had in a long time. The fish and chips came with a malt vinegar aïoli that was delicious. The staff was cheerful and very attentive, even though it was packed, probably due to the fight. This is also the perfect place for a casual date night or a place to chill and watch sports. Came in on 2/4/26 at around 5:10pm as a party of two. The front sign said to seat ourselves so we sat ourselves down at one of the low four top tables in the middle of the restaurant. Shortly after we sat, a group of 4 sat next to our table. The server greets and gets the drink order for their table first, it's fine she probably didn't see who sat first it's ok. So we waited. Server comes back with their drinks and starts ordering their appetizers and then goes to put it in. It's been about 15 minutes or so now at this point where no staff has greeted us, took our order or even acknowledged us at this point. At that point, we just walked out. The server who was helping the table next to us made eye contact with us as we were walking out and still didn't even say anything. I don't know if we were being discriminated because we were both Asian. If you're the manager, check your cameras. Don't think we'll be coming back after this experience. read more

I have been wanting to come here since they opened. My daughters & I were hungry and in the area so we decided to stop by. When you walk in there is a sign that says to seat yourself. We chose to sit in the back . Business is very nice on the inside. Very clean & cool looking. I noticed they had a great selection of beers. Next time I'd love to try one :) We didn't have to wait long before the waitress came and took our order. We chose to get a few things & share them . We ordered the sliders, loaded tots , & pretzels. The pretzels were absolutely delicious!!!! They were so buttery & salty . And they gave me 2 cheese sauces & 1beer mustard. We loved! I was not sure if my daughters would even like the mustard but they loved even more then the cheese sauce. Both were smackin!! My oldest loved the slider , I however thought it was a bit dry. First time here and we decided to give the food and drinks a try! The steak "Tap Salad" was very good. Steak was flavorful and the lettuce was crisp. My Sauvignon Blanc was tasty. Our server, Dani, was very friendly and checked on us a couple times during our lunch. If you want to watch a sports game, there are a plethora of TVs to choose from! We stopped in for an early dinner with friends and I'm happy to report that unlike what some other folks have experienced, I found the service friendly, helpful, and efficient. They have a ton of beers on tap and a good variety - there's something for everyone - but I was a little disappointed that very few beers produced in the central valley were represented on the list :( I know there aren't a ton of breweries (compared to other parts of CA), but I hope they search a little harder and get some of their local breweries onto the list. The food was average - not terrible, but certainly not amazing either. A couple of us had the brisket tacos. The tacos were tasty, but the meat was sliced super thinly, was really dry, and barely bad any smoke flavor. We also had the fish tacos, which were equally average. This place seems solid if you're meeting up for happy hour, but don't expect anything mind blowing on the food front. read more

We went there last night. There was a bit of a wait but surprisingly not too long considering there was a football playoff game on. We were seated after 30-40 minutes and Carlie our server immediately took our drink order. I have to say, I was very impressed because as I said it was quite packed and I think there were only about 4 servers and they all handled their tables well. Stopped here on a Friday evening right before 5:00. This is a very spacious place, with lots of tvs and a large outdoor seating area. We were greeted right away by our waitress and placed our order. Decided to share a plate of steak nachos. The nachos were excellent and large enough for two. I especially liked the fresh sliced jalapenos on top. Beer list was good, lots of different styles to choose from. They are great about letting you try small samples before ordering. I choose two stouts that I had tried before and they were again great. Prices for pints are actually very resonable. We had a very positive experience here. It was starting to get crowded when we left, so I'm not sure if they had enough staff working to keep up the fast service we got. read more

I've been to Modesto Brass Tap several times since they opened, and always had a good experience until yesterday. Yesterday, I specifically paid a visit to watch the 49ers game, and because a Facebook ad kept popping up on my feed offering 10 wings for $10 on "Gameday Sundays." Okay done deal. However, when I arrived at the place and showed the waitress the ad (as it says to) she told me she would have to check with her manager. A few minutes later, she returned to tell me the manager said it was not valid at the Modesto location. The problem? The ad specifically says "The Brass Tap- Modesto!" So instead of getting the wings for $10, I paid $17 instead. If the game wouldn't have already started, and we weren't already drinking our beers, I would have left on principle. This is the definition of false advertisement! Reading comments under the Facebook ad later, it seems I wasn't the only one that ran into this problem. Whoever that manager is, doesn't know what they're doing! Get a better person for the job please. read more

O.M.G. I am literally fighting with myself to write this review I don't want the secret to be out but this place rocks. We started off with several different drinks from Roy Rogers / a few different beers on tap and dragon blood mojito which was perfectly made I had to have another. We didn't order appetizers but they did have a good variety to choose from. We went straight to our dinner choices. I could not make up my mind I ordered some Chicken strips with sweet potato fries and the dang Korean BBQ pork was calling my name so I ordered the Korean BBQ pork flatbread also figured whichever one I didn't eat would be for my lunch tomorrow since it was a Sunday and was to lazy to figure out what to bring for my lunch the next day at work. Boy was that a great decision I went for some of the fries which were great and the chickens strips looked so good and plump but I went for the flatbread and boy was it good I ended up having my strips for lunch the next day and oh boy I was craving for more I will definitely be back to get some more strips and try something else also. My son had the nachos which looked good and he and his wife enjoyed them they also ordered the chicken strips which they say they also come back to this place for the strips. Parking was no issue plenty of spaces they also have an outdoor heated area which a few people were sitting at enjoying the nice night air with some drinks and friends. Our new favorite place! We've been here several times and have always been impressed with everything from the service to the drinks and food. The servers are always sincerely nice and helpful. The food at this place......AMAZING. Brisket tacos were on Point, Fish & chips were perfectly cookedand NOT Greasy!! Seriously good....like TN good!!! The salads are Big & fresh!
