Hands down, some of the BEST Tacos I've had. Came here with my friend's family from Manteca, and the rumor has it these are the 'best tacos in town'. Must I say, the rumor is true. I ordered two tacos de asada, and two de cabeza. Both meats were tender, and very flavorful. The tortilla was also nicely warmed up. When ordering tacos, it comes with cilantro, onion, and spicy salsa.. I always order the salsa on the side, simply because I don't eat too much spicy :) This is a taco truck, but there is PLENTY of parking space, as well as sitting area! It's a MUST try if you're in the area!

    Yum yum yum!

Lots of options for asada tacos down Crows Lansing. Yelp once didn't lead me astray. Super tasty asada tacos. 1$ tacos, not greasy, not too spicy and not too fatty!! Great shaded area to eat. Not my favorite in the valley but definitely right up there for their asada tacos. Been back and will be back much more!

I was super sceptical, cuz 50 cent tacos make me think, "what's wrong with it?", but super thankful we doubled back to it. For my girl and I, I ordered 8 tacos and a burrito. Both ended up super good, and my girl said my burrito was delicious. Definitely be back, even though it's kind of a journey for me.

Found this gem while driving through the Modesto area with my husband. The tacos are cheap and very tasty and this truck has other items that looked and smelled good as well. The prices have increased just slightly but definitely nothing to complain about. I will definitely come back here to eat when I am in the area again.

    Bomb ass tacos!

I consider Modesto one of the best areas to get quality mexican food. this truck has been at their same location for years yet no one reviews them. well that's changing. This is one of my go to spots for late night eating in modesto. Given its location one may not want to eat here but trust me the tacos are on point and cheap. Just check it out for yourselves and find out! #Solid

Best asada taco in the central valley! Loaded with meat and piping hot. They toast the tortilla. Nice shaded tables.

I was out running errands and saw where they were going to be for lunch and the times. The Universe was working with me that day because I found a park and was 4th in line before they were taking orders. Please be mindful that there was only one person taking the orders and cooking/prepping the food. I don't know if it is always the case, but he got it done. Of course, there was somewhat of a wait. Now that I am thinking, maybe I was just ready to tear into the food and that there wasn't a wait. LMFAO. This is what I ordered: #21 Roberto Clemente and some Empanadas Carne. Need I say more..... If you see someone running behind the truck for a plate of food, that's me. Lol

I stumbled upon this place one day while doing my random walk, so you KNOW I had to give this place a try. I had went in upon opening time, so my wait was a little bit, but I was not complaining because you know what they say: "Greatness comes when you build them up one by one." I got their hamburger with the extra cheese, and curly fries. The patty was extra juicy, and the brioche buns were toasted really well. I especially like how they added on the cheese after the patty was marinated on the grill for quite a while, but not too long to the point all of the juice was sucked up. The only down side to the food: the prices. Be prepared to spend quite a bit on lunch if you decide to go to this place, because they do end up charging quite a bit more than what the regular places around Downtown would. But the IPA beers make up for it, so it's also worth a bang for your buck. Hospitality was pretty top-notch -- my order was taken in an orderly fashion, and they even apologized for the wait as well. I hope Scratch Cookery stays around for a long while so that people can try out such majestic wonders this establishment has to offer! Ambiance was great, and I'd definitely be back again!

I kept hearing about their hot chicken sandwiches for years, and we finally made the trek to check them out. The Good: * Friendly service * Prices aren't too bad considering the portion size and flavor. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Craft brews in cans * Seven levels of heat for everyone from the spice-averse to the hardcore fire lover. * Chicken sandwiches are massive and delicious. And despite it being a breast, they kept it very juicy. * Really loved their fries; I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're frozen, but regardless, they're fantastic. The Meh: * Not much in the way of drinks except for the aforementioned beers and cans of soda. The Ugly: * It's located in DTSJ, so you'll most likely have to pay for parking. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, the 4th St Garage is free for the first 90 min. Conclusion: Great spot to get your spice on.

There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. They also host a number of local vendors who also happen to give out prizes in these weekly raffles. It's an outdoor event at the Fremont Event Center and Plaza. There is outdoor seating with a few tables and a small field near the amphitheater. Bring a blanket, some seats, and even a table to enjoy an outdoor picnic with the friends and family. There's access to the clean and private bathrooms at the event center, which is a huge plus for families with young children. The food vendors (food trucks) were great and covered a diverse group of cuisine. Some more reasonably priced than others, but they were all very delicious and fresh. There's also a beer stand where they were collecting tips for scholarship programs. While dining and perusing the stalls and vendors, a DJ was broadcasting music and making announcements to bring attention to the raffle, upcoming community events, and vendors present. Very lively atmosphere! Overall, this is a fun family friendly outing and a great way to connect with local community members while benefiting local businesses. Definitely a must try and an anticipated return visit!

Great texture, topped with pork sung and crispy cabbage, plus katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. Savory, crunchy, and satisfying. Sumo Dog: Japanese curry beef chili with cheese and fresh scallions. Hearty, comforting, and perfect for that chilly evening. Fried Foods: We didn't try, any but they serve fries and potstickers too.
