Worst place I ever been to, placed an order over the phone and paid over the phone as well. Then went to pick up the order and took it home to find that 3 orders are missing and 1 order is missed up. I called them to let them know, they denied first then they agreed to refund us the missing portion if we come in person and told us to bring back the missed up order for a refund as well. Even though it was inconvenient to go back, but we went back again to find people treating us very rude and refusing to pay us for either the missing items or the missed up order. read more

The waiter brought out some garlic butter in case I wanted to dip my seafood into and I was pleased because I always use a butter dip. But that sauce! Butter didn't get a chance . When in around 3:15 on Sunday. Had two parties in front of us. Half the tables needed to be cleaned. Looked like no one was paying attention to them. One table was available and they sat none of the parties. They cleaned off a couple tables and sat the two in front of us. I am still staring at all the unclean tables and that one that has always been available. Two employees come in with Pizza Hut boxes and go to the back. One of them comes up front and tries to clean a table. I asked the hostess why she just sit us at the table I have been staring at for 35 minutes. She said because it was a table for six. I told her I figured they would make an exemption since no tables were being cleaned and their bussers were out getting pizza. Bad customer service. read more

So my husband is constantly on a quest for the 'holy grail' of Cajun food. I don't ever have to ask what kind of food he is in the mood for, 'cause it's always gonna be something with crawfish, shrimp or crab. When he took our family here, our three teens and I had mediocre expectations. We were thrilled with the whole experience! It's an old fashioned crab-boil at its finest! Atmosphere is rustic and simple. Staff is friendly. Be sure to bring your company here when they come for a visit. I would suggest to start with mild spice. I live close so this place is ONLY convenient,but The sauce here is  good,  I've been here 3x in the last week and EVERYTIME my crawfish order has most defiantly been short. when I dined in I mentioned to the waiter and she knowledge there was no way my order was 3lbs which I ordered and she kindly fixed it. so I order takeout tonight. I order 1lb of crawfish  and a catfish basket and the crawfish was so nasty I didnt even eat it , I don't know who was cooking tonight (4/2/19) but whatever shortcut they took was very apparent and my bag was  filled with about a lb of sauce and def not a lb of crawfish , wasn't garlicky or nothing. Let's start off with the service. We asked for an extra bag to put in the shells about 4 times... Never got one. Young man servicing our table forgot my 2lb order and they were very inattentive and forgetful. Food: 4lbs of crawfish were ordered HOT. Had no flavor the crawfish were very small and the only good thing was the corn and potatoes. The crawfish was cheap compared to other places we looked at but I guess you get what you paid for. Met up with a friend here for dinner. We decided on Cajun Seafood and The Boiling Pots delivered! I had the combo fried basket with 2 catfish fillets and 4 shrimp. They almost lost a star with the size of the "jumbo" shrimp, but they were tasty enough to overcome their size. The catfish was lightly breaded and tasted great with the spicy tartar sauce (not spicy). Our beers were served in the bottle. The cajun fries had a great kick! Interesting paper covering of each table and then you basically make a mess with your order. They nicely supply gloves and bibs so you aren't wearing everything after. Parking definitely gets tight when busy, but they had plenty of tables (was very busy, good turnover) during our 2 hour visit. I'll be back! read more

This place is just as good, if not better, than Boiling Crab in Dallas. There's rarely a wait and the staff has always been attentive and friendly. Only one time did we have a long wait to receive the order, but hey, no one's perfect! The sauce is delicious, packed with garlic! Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in DFW. read more

I would love to give 4 stars, but I've experienced quite a bit of inconsistency in my "bags of goodness" lately and today, after trying the fried fish and shrimp for the first time, I'm resigned to give a "3". Why? Well, the combo basket (2 catfish fillets/4 fried shrimp) was covered in incredibly thick, bland batter that was $16 and 99 cents worth of disappointment. The "jumbo" shrimp are actually medium ones that have been split, pounded flat and coated with crusty matter that reminded me of frozen food isle heat & eat shrimp. YUCK. The hush puppies are a bland waste of space and the fries were probably the best thing in the basket. Yup--I said it. I've had better. Much better. I typically order the boiled crab or shrimp situation w/sausage, potatoes and corn---minimal disappointment there. Sometimes the mixture is a bit too salty, the potatoes too hard and the sausage has been lukewarm--yet edible. But going off the beaten path today was not wise--I will stick to ordering the regular bags of goodness and frying my own fish/shrimp. read more

Though this place is as low-key as it comes, the quality and price of the food can't be beat! So it's basically like being inside a barn, with tables covered in thin sheet plastic. We were seated quickly, and our server, Jasmine was great. We ordered fried pickles and lemon pepper wings (10) for appetizers, and a pound of snow crab (medium heat) and a pound of clams (mild) to share for mains. The fried pickles came out in good time, they were good, thicker than I like, the sauce was great, though. The wings didn't come out till the seafood was already out, so we didn't really get to enjoy them as an app, but they were fantastic! Large, lemony, garlicky, and juicy and with wonderfully crisp skin! Then the seafood. . .mmmmmm. First Jasmine tied giant plastic bibs on us, and left a stack of disposable gloves and a roll of paper towels. Ok here is the low-key part: the by the pound seafood comes out in a plastic bag. That's it. They give you shell crackers and little things to scoop out the crab meat, but no plates or other utensils. You will get messy--not a first date local! But the seafood is super fresh and flavorful, and the seasoning is on-point: spicy and smokey and compliments the flavor of the seafood amazingly. I asked for the hottest spice in my crawfish order and damn those things had my mouth on fire! It was a good burn though. There sauce is missing something I just can't put my finger on it. Went to the Bolling Pots a few days ago and was a bit skeptical, but to my surprise the food was very good and the service was top notch. I had the Crab Legs and Shrimp Combo (Hot) and it was outstanding! The food comes in a plastic bag with no utensils. Just strap on the disposable bib and dig in! Very good and Very Messy !!!! This place has always been such a treat. I went a few days ago and it was not as good. The sauce used to be not so thick and much more buttery. I ordered shrimp and mussels. The shrimp was good but the sauce ( the whole shebang) was not that great. The mussels...well, they brought the wrong order. It was way too spicy and the sauce was like clumpy wet powder spices on the mussels. They also added sausage to the mussels. It might have been ok a few weeks ago, but I had good poisoning 3 weeks ago and it was because of sausage. Had dinner there and let me tell ya. Use the bib and gloves they give you. Very good and priced right for what you get. I had rather mine come out with out all of the sauce in the bag but was not bad. Also the corn had way too much seasoning in it from setting in the bag after it was cooked in just boiling water and the new potato had no seasoning to it. Needs to be boiled in the spices. Not just water. Prob will go back sometime soon. But for the price this place is not bad. read more

Went here and noticed that the crab legs are 19.99 instead of 14.99. I guess the price changed recently since the menu says that the prices are subject to change at any time. The legs seems a bit overcooked but the flavor was alright at least. read more
