Food was wonderful ! Service was great and accommodating . Didn't bug us to leave when we were there for quite a while.

Took 30 minutes for someone to come tell us the food that half the table ordered was not available, the. Took another 45 minutes to bring out everyone's food. The people's who's food that was available had obviously been sitting out the whole time. I'm sure that's safe at a seafood restaurant. Still waiting on a check . Would not recommend. Food standards can't be very high based off my experience so far. Good luck to anyone brave enough to eat here read more

The place is great. I love the outdoor patio dining / stage area. I love the Pick 2 or 3 Catch of the day. You unfortunately can not order Take Out orders. It boggles the mind. The place pretty much forces you to dine in. read more

Our party of 8 was seated at 8pm, drinks started trickling out 1 or 2 at a time after an hour, and we didn't get our food until 9:45 literally 15 minutes before closing. It was obvious that the kitchen had given up for the night when prepping our meals. The fries were limp and cold, the blackened grouper (tiny and way over cooked) / shrimp combo was haphazardly just tossed on the plate with no care and a random cup of butter (because fried shrimp need butter?), the steak was charred to charcoal. Just complete lack of care or attention. Our server started out great when the room was full but then went MIA once nothing was ready, even though half the tables were empty by then. Only one drink out of our 2nd round ever showed up. The first time we asked for a manager, he didn't want to make eye contact and disappeared without fixing anything. We tracked down a 2nd person at the end who comped all 8 meals but also gave attitude (thanks?). As we were standing outside to say our goodbyes, we got to watch 4 employees (including the MIA server) clean our table while openly disparaging us. Classy place. If they were short on staff, they could have just explained the situation. Instead, we got shifting blame and complete lack of interest in customer service. read more

Disappointed. We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Some servers were really hustling. Ours was not in any hurry. The fish dip was bad. We couldn't eat it. The fish, once it finally arrived, was very good and came in large portions. The sides are also very large portions. Pimento cheese grits were awesome, but the collard greens were way too salty. Will probably give it another try at some point. read more

Drove in from Chicago to stay a few nights, and on a recommendation from a good friend, my wife and I ended up enjoying a fantastic seafood meal. We eat gluten free and mostly plant based, and the kitchen was able to easily accommodate recipe changes and still deliver. Loved every bite!! Grilled or blackened, it was cooked perfectly. I had the Mahi and swordfish, the wife had the grouper and trigger. Great vibe indoor and out, especially with the great waterfront view off the cove. Fun live music and great service by Skylar!! When we come back, we will certainly visit again!!! read more

We like to support local restaurants whenever we can, but can honestly say St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company is off our list. While the setting is charming and the menu enticing, it appears they are overstressed and unable to provide the service necessary. There coffee machine has been "broken for 3 months" (we were there during brunch), the view from the patio is great, but the shore line is full of debris, broken glass and large chunks of bricks, taking away from the aesthetics. Our entrees took a long time, but wouldn't have been a problem if the food was worth it. One guest had a raw shrimp on her plate, my husband received a biscuit and the butter and jelly took so long to arrive, they gave us another one. My dish was completely cold, eggs congealed, grits barely room temp. It seemed like my entre was ready and sat there for too long. I did ask to speak to a manager and was told "she's here but extremely busy, so not available." My co-diners were done eating by the time my reheated dish was served, I refused it and it was removed from the bill. I don't believe our server was to blame. If restaurants are struggling to fill staff, they really should think about how many guests they have at once. read more

We are locals who designated Creekside as our favorite restaurant for over 10 years. Our first visit to the new establishment last Sunday was horrible. We love the band The Driftwoods, so were anxious to hear them and have a great meal. The band is still great; the restaurant not so much. We always sit outside on the deck. NEVER in all of the years going there did we experience the barrage of flies around our food this time. We could barely eat while swatting away flies! The food was mediocre and overpriced. My chowder was cold by the time our server brought me a spoon. (He disappeared for 1/2 hour. I thought he had gone home! When he finally re-appeared---without our utensils. He told us he had to work in the kitchen, thus deserting us!) Finally, another server supplied our utensils. (My husband had gotten none also.) Between the flies, food, and service, it was a miserable experience. We will be back sometime to listen to the Driftwoods, but will eat somewhere else first. read more

I wish I could give them a zero. Our experience was terrible. We waited over 2 hours for our food. When you pay this high a price for food, you expect superior service. We had reservations but our table was not ready when we arrived. We waited about 20 mins. to get seated. When our appetizers arrived we had no silverware to eat with. We asked and were given a basket of knives and one fork for a table of 10 people. By the time we got silverware the appetizers were cold. We sent some back but this is still unacceptable. One of our party asked to speak to the manager. They told here the manger was busy and could she get her number and call her back later. They finally sent out a server to talk to her which didn't do any good. After 2 hours, she went and asked to speak to the manger again, Phoebe, and was able to speak to her. She just kept saying okay, okay, okay, to everything she told her. The guest finally asked Phoebe what she could do for us and she said she would comp our meal. This was too little too late. After 2 3/4 hours we were finally finished eating. For a restaurant of this caliber, the food was mediocre and the service was horrible. At this rate, this place will not be open long. read more

owner walks around with no mask and doesn't wash hands after restroom i saw it live. disgusting

we booked a table for 5 including 3 children. After 20 minutes delay following our reservation we were ushered along to a dark and dirty room that was being used to host a private party. We were given a grubby table in the middle of that function adjacent to a loud connecting sports bar. Oddly this space didn't really seem to have the asthetic, light or atmosphere of the main restaurant at all, rather an afterthought - which is how we were treated, so I guess quite fitting. I challenged this, especially the fact we were in the middle of a private function. We were told that's just what's available even though I pointed out we booked a table we didn't just show up on a whim. We didn't stay to experience the food because we were put off by the attitude of the staff which was poor and dismissive. On this basis, we cannot recommend - reputations are built on good customer service; this was not an example of that at all. read more

The positives first...our waitress was efficient, quick and kind. She did a very good job. The atmosphere/decor is really great. We sat inside and found it to be nicely appointed. Great music outside, however, the inside music was too loud and the clash was a bit annoying. Now for the negative ....the coffee was terrible. They were out of creamer which could have helped. We ordered the low country boil. It was absolutely bland. No flavor AT ALL. We had to ask for old bay seasoning and once we loaded everything up with butter and spices it was a little better. My husband asked for 2 biscuits. The waitress brought 2 really beautiful biscuits with strawberry jelly/jam. The bottom tasted burned. They were pretty but hard and dry and the jelly/jam was very tart, not sweet as we had hoped. So sorry for this negative review but it was our experience. Would give this restaurant another try and order differently to see if our choices were just off for this particular day. read more

We were excited about eating here and unfortunately the excitement, didn't last long. I'll start with positives, great outdoor dining area with a live band, the hush puppies with blueberry jam & the deep water shrimp. We are regulars for sitting at the bar and having dinner. Everywhere we go, we try to sit at the bar because 9 of 10 times we have exceptional service and good conversation with the bartenders working. Granted it was a Saturday night and like everyone in the country, they are short staffed. The restaurant had two bartenders working, one was pleasant and the other had that "resting bitch face," and appeared she hated her job. We had to ask for water on 3 separate occasions, and when she finally gave it to us. It appeared that a bell went off in her head to do it. I ordered the fresh caught grouper on a bed of sausage with pimiento cheese grits. The grouper was cooked perfectly blackened and was flavorful. The bed of sausage was maybe 5 thin slices of sausage buried under a soup of grits. I've had enough grits made by the southern women in my family to know grits! Their grits need some work! When the meal came out on chipped 10 inch bowl filled completely full of grits, the grouper that was supposed to rest on the bed of sausage was sunk down in soupy grits that completely surrounded the grouper. In reality, the dish only needed a 1/3 of grits to make the dish enjoyable. I had enough grits to feed a family of 4. Not sure if we will go back and try again, when there so many other great seafood restaurants around the area. read more

When I hear "oyster house", I expect a nice variety of high quality oysters. Ordered the raw "St. Augustine " oysters. Didn't realize they were previously shucked, (dry) and the tiniest I ever saw. They were not cut from the shell and were a disappointment. The other option were the "Texas sized" oysters from the Gulf. They are typically oversized, flavorless, and drowning in water. Known as "gaggers" in the oyster world. So, that's not happening. Probably the last two choices one would make, if you had more to choose from. Nothing from the colder waters up in Maryland, Virginia, New England, or further north. Probably should drop the oyster reference from their name. Also, ordered the stuffed grouper with the house stuffing. Never had my fish stuffed with cheese. Wasn't expecting that either. Really?? cheese inside fish. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. But, okay. My wife liked the shrimp and grits. My son liked the Poke bowl. My other son had a "Caesar salad with chicken. He didn't realize he was getting an uncut head of lettuce with the tomatoes and cheese all separated on his plate. After rereading the menu, it looks like he got what he ordered. This "deconstructed" stuff on the menu is peculiar. He basically had all the ingredients. But, had to prepare the salad himself. Kind of a lazy way to serve someone a salad. But, this is a new era. This was a birthday for my father-in law. He did get a very nice slice of Key Lime pie , on the house, before we left. That was nice. The renovation and deck looked nice. Parking lot was refreshed and came out very nice. All that being said, will probably be back for appetizers and drinks on the deck while listening to the man with the guitar. read more
