On 4/3/2023 I took my family here to celebrate my birthday which I made reservations. I have to say it was one of my worse experiences I have had. First it took almost 15 minutes to get our beverages, than 20 minutes to get our appetizers which we had to ask for, in addition asking for plates and sauce. Than took almost an hour to receive our dinner. My wife ordered the Tacos which was cold, my daughters crab labs were over cooked so not edible. My wife also had to ask for a fork three times till she received one. Many people standing around - no one helping each other. One table who sat next to us had to ask for a server to take their order. Another table of 8 received their food before us and came in 30 minutes later. Than the manager yelled at my wife for no reason. Who does this! My wife was so taken back. Afterwards we found out my daughter by accident dripped her beer on the floor because of the way she was holding it as she followed her mom to the front door. I am Very disappointed by the actions of the manager and the service. We found the manager was belligerent and not accountable for the situation. All she had to tell us was the issues she was having which was basically excuses for bad service. Our food was comped which as a good thing. We will not recommend this place to anyone. As a customer we don't want to hear excuses - just want the food we ordered - hot. This was by far my worse experience- thank you for me to have a horrible birthday experience! read more

4 of us went to dinner on a Wednesday night. The special was oysters for $0.75 each- raw or steamed served with spicy cocktail sauce, saltine crackers, what appeared to be fresh grated horseradish with hot sauce on the table. Both were excellent. We also got the Calamari appetizer that was a little expensive at $16.95 but it was a large portion served with cold marinara . Which I thought was weird and had mine with cocktail sauce and a mix of ranch and cocktail sauce mix. Two people had the honey glazed salmon and said it was cooked to perfection. I stole a hush puppy and it was the BEST hush puppy I've ever eaten! The two sides served with their dinner were large and tasty and there were several to choose from. Dinner for 4 came to $100.00 without alcohol but a $10 take home dessert included. We sat out on the deck with a huge gas fire in the middle. The menu said that you could request marshmallows to roast over the fire so we did They came two to a skewer on a plate with chocolate sauce decorating it. We had fun roasting them together. I'm not sure it would be safe for kids to roast their own due to the short skewers. Check their website for M-TH specials like $10 a pound for crab legs with the purchase of an appetizer and another night for a whole Maine lobster with 2 sides for $20! OK. I know restaurants have issues with servers and kitchen. I get it. But I have to wonder if it's in their best interest to seat people and then it it takes an hour to get food. We were not the only ones and it was a Wednesday nite. That is part of the lower rating. The food was good. It was hot when served. I had the catch of the day and other diner had oysters on the shell. Someone had a heavy hand with salt so green beans weren't the best. Fish chowder was excellent and salads were very good. My fish was done really good but a little heavy on seasoning. Parking is a bit of a challenge but overall it's a really nice place. Our server was excellent. I have attempted this place twice. The first time I did their lobster Thursday one claw missing meat and the side honestly had no flavor. Second attempt I ordered the 3 for $27 which consisted of sword fish, shrimp and scallops I'm pretty sure all frozen, no flavor and the side we par. The worst part and this is the kicker which is not the waitresses fault, however the bar tender decide he would help hand out food to the table, and handed my gf a very HOT PLATE, didn't advise it was hot and rather unsure why his 6'3" self couldn't set it on the table, very baffled that he had a rag and would hand over a very hot plate which caused pinking to the finger tips and one blister. We had another lovely dinner at St Augustine Fish House and Oyster Co! We had reservations and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival This Friday night we were seated in an older room /porch behind bar that just reaked of Southern Living magazine Tim Sky Rice was our server and did everything right. He was attentive with cocktails, water and sweet tea. We received our delicious Calimari appetizer very quickly. Had a reservation and were seated fairly quickly on a very busy Saturday night. Place was packed especially the large deck with live music and fire pit on the water. Our waitress was Sophie who was EXCELLENT! She knew the menu and made great recommendations! The food took a while to come out but we had expected that as 2 large groups were seated just ahead of us. Where to start. We came in for a late lunch we're told a 30 min wait. Ok no problem BUT after seeing several folks walk in and get seated we asked again. No problem we can seat you right away. They did finally txt and call us after we had ordered The meal was terrible the fish was prepared ok but very very bland. The fries were stone cold. Our other meal of shrimp and grits was basically cold and the shrimp tasted day old. This place is a little off the beaten path, but that just adds to the charm. It backs up to a marshy river line and the food is all incredible fresh and cooked to perfection; my friend Brandy also loved it! The place is really lovely. Inside and out. Lots of room and seating. The food was just okay. i felt the grits were extremely soupy. The pimento app was plentiful and very tasty. My husband enjoyed the grouper. I would definitely go back and try something else. Service was slow but friendly. However it WAS Saturday night and I actually didn't mind because it was more time to hang out and chat with my friends without feeling like I was camping out. Went on "AYCE" shrimp night, but didn't get it. We got the Seafood Platter (Brandon said it was good). Good? It was great!!! We split it - 2 large pieces of Blackened Mahi, 6 large Blackened Scallops, 8 good size Blackened Shrimp; at least 8 Fried Oysters, and 1 Stuffed Crab!!!! And 2 sides! We had to bring some home! Drinks are expensive, but I don't drink! We drove from Flagler Beach (50 minutes) and can't wait to go back!!! read more

We were excited to find a large selection of fresh seafood entrees. I ordered the grouper. It was very fresh and ample portion, but I couldn't eat it or the mashed potatoes or green beans. The calamari had more fried pepper's in the mix than calamari. The fish dip needed to be returned as it was so salty that it was inedible. We than tried the Brussels sprouts which were tasty and the crab stew. The stew was also a letdown. The Parmesan oysters,crab cakes,and stuffed grouper saved the meal from being a total disaster. WONDERFUL! It was the perfect low key, casual Florida ambiance for a large party. Beautiful view. I made a reservation for 24 people and the restaurant only charged $70 extra for the large group. This was much less than the exorbitant fees that other restaurants wanted. Every guest got to order whatever they wanted from the menu which was much better than what other restaurants required: a menu choice limited to 3 items.
