Visited in June 2018. Super cool little place to eat at and food was great. Perfect spot after a long day of hiking when your hungry and just want some good food and a beer. So good we went twice during our week stay in Moab. Definitely recommend. read more

We are visiting Moab and happened upon Blu Pig for dinner tonight. Baby back ribs tender, succulent and flavorful. Philly cheesesteak sandwich was delicious. Meat sliced very thin and had nice smoky flavor. Sautéed peppers and onions added to already great sandwich. Our waiter Paul was attentive and friendly. Can't ask for much more than that. read more

Vacation in Moab...service was poor and the waitress must have been new. I swear our order was not put on for quite a while, the wait time was long to receive the food. The food was fair. The baked beans were good and the BBQ turkey was fair. I'd say skip it...I was unimpressed. read more

I read the reviews before going. They were mixed. We ordered brisket and burnt tips. The tips were good, the brisket was over cooked and very dry. When I got home I read the reviews again and the owners comments. Issues at this restaurant are not new and worse yet not fixed. This coupled with conversations with locals, in my opinion, the owners may not have a clue as to how to run a restaurant. read more

Lousy service, good food. Out of the beer I ordered, asked 3 times for spoons for beans, told cornbread was in oven and 10 minutes later when it arrives its warm not hot from oven. Server didnt ask if I wanted another beer. Then the waitresses crash and spray my back with bbq sauce and weren't even going to say anything. DONT BOTHER STOPPING. read more

Good food. Service was the worst we've ever had. Spend your money and time somewhere else. Seriously felt like we were putting them out to bring them business. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and another 20 after that to get our child's drink. 40 minute wait for a kid to get a drink. read more

This is a very good steakhouse. At first we decided that it is a very noisy bar here and we didn't want to go here. But when our regular restaurant will have us waiting for 45 minutes, we decided to go here. It did not turn out noisy. In fact, they have two rooms. One is a noisy bar and the other is a quiet little room with some jazz music coming from the other room. The food was great, and I ordered a pork rib rack. It tasted great! My family all ordered steaks and it only cost us 120 dollars with tax and tip! And also they gave us a bowl of free fries (makeup for a baked beans that never turned up) to enjoy. This is a very good restaurant and I really recommend it if you are hungry! My tummy is so full from eating that pork rack. Great food! Really appreciate it! ;) read more

This place was a real treat to stumble upon. The service and food was impeccable and they treated our dog like she was one of their own on their dog friendly patio. We liked it so much we went back twice during our trip! read more

Stopped through on our way to Arizona. Turned out to be a great, quick lunch. Do yourself a favor and order sweet potato fries with the Ancho Mayo. Staff let us in even though they weren't quite open yet. Everyone in my group agreed that we all enjoyed our food and would come again. Great stop!! read more

Decided to eat here after a day at Arches. We were disappointed in the brisket as it was very dry. Seemed to us that it was left over from the weekend and had been reheated in a microwave. Cornbread was even worse. Completely dry and crumbled in your hands. Might be good on Saturday but so so on a Tuesday. read more

Great food and a really good beer list. We had brisket, turkey, tri tip and the turkey bacon club sandwich. It was all very very good. The sides were great too. Dylan was our server and he was very friendly, efficient and kept everything rollin'. Well done! read more

Brisket and ribs were not smoked as advertised. Many of the burnt ends were hard. The pulled pork was fattier than you would have expected. The service was good. read more

I'd love to give you a review on this establishment but after calling for 30+ minutes (no answer) we decided to just show up and order. When we arrived we were told "We are too busy to serve takeout". It would have been nice if they had answered the phone and told us that rather than just taking it off the hook! read more

My experience at the Blue Pig was unsatisfactory to say the least. First off the prices were extremely expensive for what you get. I understand this is a vacation town but if you're gonna charge high prices the food and service need to match. Being the covid restrictions there werent many people in the resturant. It still took a good 5 mins before we were waited on. By this time I was ready to order everything so we ordered our drinks and our food. I ordered the lunch burger for over $10 after taxes. I got a side salad with it. The salad was a pile of spring leaves with a few tiny toppings. The burger came out with just cheese, a bun and pickle spear. Where's the garden? And the burger wasnt even par with taste. Also the food was brought out before the drinks. Not worth the high dollar that the place charges. Ive also had their BBQ and its ehh as well. Only thing I enjoyed the flavor of was a very small side of mac n cheese for almost $6. Literally 5 bites. I will not be returning to this place of buisness. read more

Great bbq, especially enjoyed the beef tips; but, the service was not so great. Come for the food, not for the service.

Well, the service is horrible and the food isn't warm.. Our server Damien rushed us and never asked if we wanted another beer or if we needed anything. Right after giving us our meal, he asked if we wanted dessert. With a good amount of food still on our plates, it should seem obvious that we weren't ready to look at a dessert menu or that we even enjoyed the meal. On top of that, a different person brought our food & didn't even know what the dishes were called because he was new & our sides were mixed up on each other's plates. Our server, Damien, spoke to a table just behind us with a sunny attitude & gave them A+ service while we sat there annoyed & still hungry. Also my cup was dirty and gross with a white grime stuck in the bottom of it. The one star is for the cool ceramic pig & the rad music coming from the bar which is probably where we should have sat in the first place. Or just not have entered the building at all. In addition to the poor service & mediocre food, the waiter decided that our $34 in cash for the check was his tip & charged my girlfriend's card for the entire bill & then asked afterwards if we wanted to apply the money before the card to the check. Save yourself the trouble and go more into downtown where there are plenty of other places to eat! We recommend Peace Tree on Main Street!! They have great food and a kick-ass staff!!! Thanks to Colin at Peace Tree for the suggestion of where/what to do in Moab! read more

Just passing through town and came upon this BBQ place. They're pretty pricey but man was it good! We would come back again. I recommend the Tri-Tip and Fried Okra! YUM read more

Horrible service, by a hurried opinionated and pushy waiter. He got the order wrong twice, sneared at some of our selections, and ran off once mid order because we asked questions. (There really is no good service in Moab but this was atrocious.) The burgers were passable. The fries were greasy and cold. The ribs were chewey and over smoked. The owner of the restaurant over heard our table conversation about how bad the food was, angrily confronted us, threw a temper tantrum, and stormed off with part of our meal. I'd give them Zero stars if I could.. Never again.. read more

Service was slow, food was OK. Highlight was their "Texas Style" BBQ sauce that was pretty good!

WOW. MM. I LOVE THIS PLACE. MMMM. Don't listen to the other ney-sayers. They don't even know. I love this place. Get the 3 meat combo thing. read more

I had high hopes for this place as it came recommended but it fell way short of expectations. We went there right before the July 4th weekend and it was a hot one, 100-105 each day. After a long hot day we wanted some bbq, some AC and some cold drinks. Well, first off, the inside of the place was hot and stuffy. It was cooler outside then in, that should set the mood for you (strike 1), The drinks we ordered came late and the ice had melted already...asked for more ice and it never same (strike 2). The BBQ was hit and miss, some parts were very juicy and other dry as a bone (this covered ribs, chicken, and pork). The sauces they had were OK, but not anything to remember. This is a pass, go someone else and be treated right. read more

Amazing burnt ends! Good drinks and great service. The owner was there when we visited and stopped by to talk. She makes buttermilk pie from scratch! A must have! Will stop by next year! read more

Y'all need some local competition so you can get better. I can't do with being "just a tip", nor a burnt end. Two stars because the beer selection was A-OK. read more

Best food ever. If you don't like this food you may want to see a Dr. to confirm your taste buds still work.

We were trying different restaurants while visiting Moab and this one stood out. Food was ok. I had the sampler. Wife had the tri tip. It was good. Nothing spectacular. I had some fat chuncks in mine. I wanted to try a micro brew and I don't think our waitress knew much about the menu so basic bud light it was. Moab brewery was much better. read more

the service is fast & good. ambiance is funky & fine. live music a plus. menu is on the small side. pulled pork was a bit bland & sauces weren't impressive. no draft beer?!? read more

We both had brisket sandwiches, coleslaw and baked beans. The brisket was tender, lean and flavorful. Three sauces, two tomato-based and the other mustard-based. The sauces were neither too vingegary nor too sweet. The buns were fresh and held together under the sauce assault. The service was good. All in all, this was very good BBQ. I grew up in KC, lived in Texas and visited SC, so I have eaten my share of good BBQ. This actually as good. read more

If you are used to good BBQ from the country's great locations you will be disappointed. I ordered the brisket which was advertised as texas style and the pulled pork. Both were off the mark. My friend ordered the chicken which was burned on the outside and cold in the middle. The blue lighting makes the food unappealing. The sides were also flavorless. read more

Best barbecue we've found yet! We chanced on the Blu Pig when we found the parking lot at the brewpub down the road where we had intended to go for dinner so full we couldn't get in. The Blu Pig was right across the road from our motel, and what a wonderful, serendipitous discovery. On a two-week trip across the country and back, this was by far the best meal of the trip. Great barbecue with a perfect, smoky sauce and an outstanding selection of microbrews. We love good barbecue and can honestly say this is the best we've had anywhere. Highly recommended. read more

We just tried it tonight on the off-season in Moab. The food was fantastic. If you're a sauce person, you won't be disappointed!! Their homemade BBQ sauces are amazing, their ranch and dipping sauces are even better. Our two young boys gobbled their fresh cut fries all up. The onion rings were hand battered! The sweet potato fries come with the most delicious sauce ever! I ordered the smoked turkey and it was so moist and tender. The pulled pork was great too. My husband got the ribs which fell off the bone. The service was perfect too. I'd recommend this to anyone. Great, great food. I know they only recently opened earlier in April 2011,but I hope they stick around so we can come back every year! read more

I hate it when I encounter restaurants that should be killing it and aren't. Our party of 12 visited Blu Pig over the holiday weekend and our high hopes for some tasty meat were moderately deflated. Our server was friendly and on top of things. The restaurant itself was a bit dodgy but decent. The big issue with this place is the food. My brisket lacked flavor and my baked potato wasn't fully cooked. Others at my table had similar issues. If they invested in improving the quality of food served, there's no doubt in my mind this place could give nearby hot spots like Moab Brewery a run for its money. read more

We were out and it was a little early for dinner, but we decided to stop in , thinking we'd get something light, but filling. Our waitress greeted us cheerfully and took our drink order. By the time she returned with the drinks, we were ready to order. My husband ordered a rack of ribs, because he enjoys having them as a snack at home. The rack was huge! I had a pulled pork sandwich which was also a generous serving. The BBQ sauces were different hotness, so you could choose which to use. I heard the waitress ask another guest if they would like pecan pie, so, even though I had eaten plenty, I ordered a piece. It was delicious and fresh. Everything was tasty, except the onion rings, which were watery like they were frozen and just warmed up. The hush puppies were a much better side choice. It was quiet in the restaurant for the most part, but we were early in the evening. The menu was varied and offered good choices for your appetite. read more

We enjoyed having bbq at this place in Moab. Food was very good and service was as well. They serve three different kinds of sauce with your meal so you can choose what you like. read more

We had the absolute best service. We are from out of town and traveling with a dog. Every restaurant in town told us they did not allow dogs inside and because it was so cold we were having trouble finding a patio open. The Blu Pig made sure we got a table outside right next to a heater and had he friendliest staff. They brought our dog water and made us feel so welcome. They also recommended another place down the street for breakfast that would allow or dog. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant plus their food is absolutely delicious. read more

We came here cause we are staying in a hotel in the same parking lot and the first night we ate here wasnt great overall but we came again cause we had a long day at our event and it was easy, but night two was WORSE! ! Our take out cashier said maybe 15 min and it was over a half hour - and after asking a few times if it's ready we hear one person tell another it has been and it's sitting there -- so of course our food was Cold! We asked to pack bbq sauce and ketchup and napkins and silverware - none were inside and even after getting all that handed to the cashier after we asked again for bbq sauce and they said it was in the boxes so we opened them and it wasn't! And the one ( not three for us all ordering ) little to go pack of silverware we did get was cracked and so worthless .. the staff wasn't friendly either. In fact the lady named aaime was unfriendly to everyone as she was flustered and not handling crowds well but the crowd wait time wasn't even that bad. The cashier seemed new as he had no idea what he was doing and that was adding to her bring crabby. Oh and that live band? Wow! Made me want to leave no stay. Someones son or brother obviously. Then the food, despite being cold it was still over cooked and dry and they placed the.pickle under not next to the Fries and so it was hot and the fries were soggy, and the salt Waa overkill on the fries, and someone poked a crap ton of holes in our to go boxes and we couldn't see why? I want my food warm! overall it was just not good. Okay sure it's Better than McDonald's I suppose but what's that saying? read more

Wish I could give zero stars...totally bad experience...never even got seated...told a15 to 20 minute wait...after 40 minutes the hostess told the 20 of us waiting that they were short staffed in the kitchen and the manager told her they couldn't seat any more tables...at that point we were third in line for a table for three...but no idea if we would ever be seated...worst friggin service I have had in years...avoid like the plague...there are plenty of other choices in town... read more

Wonderful experience. Food was fantastic and Angelique was a wonderful, attentive server with great suggestions. Would definitely return.

Excellent service, great atmosphere, and a really good duo belting out the blues. Had dinner in the bar area for the music. Burnt ends and ribs were top notch, perfectly cooked, and in a nice serving size. Large selection of craft beers. The fried orca was very fresh. I would recommend a night with entertainment for an all around great dinner experience. read more

Great service, the food was superb and the portions were generous. Some of the best BBQ ever!

The food was good. I had the catfish and requested the sauce they put on the poboy and it good. Great selection of beer. My husband had the voodoo chicken and loved it. I cannot say enough about the service, very good service. We ordered takeout the next night when we were too tired to eat out. Highly recommend this place. We enjoy the blues so that was fun too. We appreciate the local musicians. read more
