At least on the street you get to see the performance first. You order at the counter, get your own drinks and find your own seat. Already done over half a servers job myself. Walking my food to my table should be the minimum a server does and that's all they do here. THIS is a owner issue, not the team's issue. The food here is reasonably priced and they have a variety of biscuits, tots and mimosas! I got the Nashville Hot Chicken, which has a slight kick to it. There's plenty of other biscuit options, so I'd recommend checking the menu out to see which ones seem enticing. I went with a group of friends who love mimosas, and we also ended up getting the Mimosa BFF. Wow! Talk about a hearty, delicious biscuit that tastes homemade! My buddy and I stumbled upon this place one late morning wanting some Texas type eats. We already hit up Texas style BBQ and Tex-Mex, and we'd heard a lot about biscuits. I will say that I've never had biscuits this good from a restaurant. I went with The Hoss with a Nashville style fried chicken patty. WOW! First bite was umami, a subtle sweetness from the honey butter on the biscuit and plenty of savory from everything else. So I just stumbled onto this place and it sounded kind of like a place called the Buttered Biscuit in Bentonville, Arkansas. I don't get there very often, but I always want to have breakfast there when I'm in Bentonville. Alas, it was not. I had the croque monsieur and the southern style tots. The sandwich was a gluey mess, dense, just really no good at all. The tots were under fried, so they were not crispy, but rather gooey to begin with and then you put gravy on top and you really had just a pile of goop. I had egg and cheese on a biscuit and a biscuit with butter and strawberry jam. I wanted to order a biscuit without anything so I could actually taste the biscuit. They didn't skimp on the egg or cheese. I probably could have used a couple of shakes of some salt on the eggs and I didn't have a salt shaker on my table nor did I see one elsewhere. I visited on 8/12/23 at 9pm. I love the prices at Biscuit Bar and I love the family owned story and elements in the store. It's a great place for a quick, cheap brunch. I had the honey hot biscuit and I also liked the french toast biscuit. It doesn't feel like a restaurant dining experience, but it's a great place for a casual meal (elevated fast food feel). They're open late which I love and i will definitely come back. My only complaint is that the young lady taking orders had poor customer service. The staff was slow, disinterested,and no smiles, the steak and egg biscuit was generously portioned, but cheap steak. The biscuits and gravy was a very small portion, served with no silverware in a thin paper bowl. When asked what else we needed after they brought the food, I requested a fork and was told to go get my own. Regret the tip I left. Coffee bar was not kept clean. 4.50 for an orange juice. Spent too much money for a dirty eating area and unfriendly staff. Makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. I so wanted this to be good. Cool looking place, in a big food court right behind the Hilton/Granite Park. Many different biscuit combinations, and all of them look great. Some seem like they have everything but the kitchen sink. Also tots. I love tots. Even salads for the lunch or dinner crowd that is not in the biscuit mood. I ordered a simple bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Also with loaded tots, which come piled high with bacon, green onions and their cheese sauce... I think the cheese sauce was one of the issues for me. I just did not care for it. It was also on the biscuit, making that less than what I wanted. The biggest issue was the biscuit, it was cool - not warm at all. The over easy egg was hot and cooked well, so I know that was made fresh. Also, the description of my order said it came with crispy bacon... this bacon looked like that really thin bacon you get at the cheap hotel breakfast buffets that are not crispy at all. While I know you can't make biscuits to order, there are plenty of other great places that can execute well. A couple that come to mind are Biscuit Love in Franklin, TN and Biscuit Head in Asheville, NC. Both of those places kill the main thing - the biscuit. Service was okay. I just could not find anyone to discuss the biscuit issues with in a timely manner. I went back and ordered the biscuit nuggets (since I only took one small bite of my original biscuit) which come with caramel and a whipped cream. I wanted to compare these with the Bonuts at Biscuit Love - which are epic. Well, they were better than the biscuit. They were hot. They have a tough outer part because of frying the biscuit dough (I guess). While thy come hot, the caramel sauce it pretty thin l, and that along with the whipped cream quickly melt into a soupy pool at the bottom of the bowl. One thing I really appreciate is that I was stuck between trying 2 drinks: the Watermelon Rancher, and the Blackberry Tequila Smash (I tried the first one, but it was unfortunately not what I expected and she gladly allowed me to exchange the drink). What a treat! My senses were treated today with both smell & taste. I'm not a huge biscuit person, but my hubby chose this spot for our day date & I happily went along. We decided to give this location a try after having a great experience at the biscuit bar in Fort Worth at the stockyards. The FW location was definitely more inviting and larger. The staff members at this location were bordering on unprofessional as we listened to them bicker back and forth about whom had called whom a loser. I had the apple cider mimosa which was only apply juice and sparkling wine. Cider is very different and not clear. The person who helped us at the counter stopped mid order to yell to the kitchen one item of the order for some reason. She then mumbled under her breath her frustration at the lack of response. Luckily, the food was still good and their biscuits are delicious. We got the hot honey chicken and the rough night. The rough night is literally every farm animal on a biscuit plus tots. Overall the food was still good but the service and ambiance are no where near that of the FW location. Definitely worth checking out and don't forget to ask to see the secret menu. I'd come here once before COVID and decided to go again since they have a lot of outdoor seating. My friend and I went around lunchtime, so it was pretty crowded and we ended up getting it to-go and sitting at another table they have in the general area, but not in the restaurant outdoor seating area. The surrounding area is really cute, with a small lake type thing and a nice little pathway to walk on. The food was really yummy, just like I remembered. The sauce was decent, and the pork flavorful. Really only three ingredients, but everything worked together well. The Hoss was okay. The chicken was juicy, but they went really light on the gravy. The gravy itself was just okay, and needed more flavor itself. The tator tots was pretty good. The outside was crispy, and the inside was tender enough and not dry, which can be an issue sometimes.
