The food is very very good, and the wait staff service is excellent and very good, but they really need to consider sitting less people at a time. We were there for probably an hour and a half total, and 40 minutes or more of that was waiting on food. We have a pretty mild mannered toddler, but 40 minutes of sitting in a pretty hard high chair is a lot to ask of any toddler. The waitress did do us a kindness and brought out his food first, but he was pretty upset by that point and just over being in a restaurant for that long. We weren't the only family there for that long either. One family there before we even sat down left roughly the same time we did, so who even knows how long they were there for. I should also add it's not the first time we've had to super wait for food, so I did give it a few more chances before reviewing. Again, wait staff is very nice, professional, and accommodating and the food is delicious. Just that food time was pretty bad. The place is lovely, with a lot of historical photos and a great atmosphere, but they definitely need to consider sotting less people. I obviously can't see the kitchen, but the place was completely packed so there's barely space to walk, so I can only assume that that many orders is just going to be really hard for any kitchen. read more

We recently stopped into the Big Biscuit while in Broken Arrow around lunch time. I suggested stopping here mainly to get a new review for you Yelpers. You owe me one. When we entered, the first thing we all noticed was the music was loud. Extremely loud. Painfully loud. The hostess started to seat us at a table directly underneath a speaker, but I pointed out the eardrum shattering volume and asked if we could be seated elsewhere, to which she promptly moved to an adjacent table. One table over. Seriously? I again pointed out the irritatingly loud music and asked if there was someplace else not so close to the music. We were led to the back of the dining area to another table.... directly under a speaker. At this point I'm ready to walk out. I politely asked if they could at least turn down the volume. After several minutes, the music was turned off completely, only to be followed by angry comments from people eating a the counter, and not a few nasty looks directed our way. So, THAT set the stage for an epic fail of a meal. The Wife got pancakes, eggs and bacon, The Kid went with chicken fingers, and I opted for the Pork Cutlet Sandwich and fries. I'll cut to the chase and say that this is without a doubt a breakfast place, because the only thing fit to eat on the table was The Wife's order. The Kid's chicken fingers were anemic, bland and an insult to chickens everywhere. My sandwich was without a doubt the worst pork cutlet sandwich I've ever had in the history of ever. It was so thin it only had one side, and there was no doubt it was just a frozen patty from a box that was deep fried. Thankfully the sandwich had some pickles on it, otherwise it would have been totally devoid of any flavor whatsoever. I ate around half of it before I threw in the towel. The Wife's pancakes were huge. In fact, too huge to eat anywhere near all of them. The biscuits, while also huge and soft, were little better than run of the mill Bisquik tasting lumps of bread. I get that places want a 'schtick' to work from, but what's the value in oversized pancakes that no one can finish, or huge biscuits that don't taste good? Just give good sized, tasty portions for a decent price and leave the schmaltzy branding behind. Oh, and about halfway through our meal.... the music came back up again... all the way. I for one will not be back to any location, since, music aside, the food will no doubt be the same lackluster effort at every franchise location. read more

Terrific prompt service. The food was tasty, fresh and hot. The meal was very filling especially the chicken fried steak and eggs with grits. Jessica our waitress was pleasant and friendly. Always checked to make sure everything was fresh. I would give our meal, service from Jessica my personal recommendation of two forks up. I'll definitely return. We were visiting OK and Broken Arrow was one of our stops. This restaurant sounded interesting especially because we love biscuits and gravy. The gentleman who sat us was super duper friendly but our server, she really was not at all. My husband got the cowboy and he really liked it. I forgot to take a photo of it. Our one daughters got the French toast and she didn't like it all and hardly ate any of it. I tried it because I love French toast and it wasn't bad, it just had zero flavor to it so I don't recommend getting it unless we just got an off batch. My other daughter and I got 3 things to try, we got the cinnamon rolls pancakes, plain Bonuts and a sticky biscuit. The pancakes weren't as good as I expected but they weren't bad. I expected a little more flavor for the way they looked. Now the bonuts and sticky bun, OMG! They were amazing! So, as we left OK, right before our flight, we decided to eat at another Big Biscuit location in Tulsa and we got bonuts and a sticky bun again and they were not nearly as good as the ones from this location in Broken Arrow. The biscuits were so dry! We were so disappointed. One thing I did different though in Tulsa was add caramel to the bonuts and that was good so I do recommend that if you like caramel. This place is pretty good. I was too hungry to grab photos ‍. It's not getting a 5 because the chicken fried steak was dry. Everything was delicious. The bonut is similar to a funnel cake! It is a must get if you like sweets! It is so good and not as greasy as the stare fairs. My boyfriend and another friend had the chicken fried steak and they both said it was dry but they gravy was really good! The fried were well seasoned and crunchy too! The chicken fried steak is laid on top of two biscuits. Speaking of biscuits, their biscuits are really good. Their portion size is pretty big as well. Their power bowls are huge! Not sure what all the rave is about. The food was ok and our waitress wasn't very warming/welcoming towards us. What lost them points was that the waitress didn't read back our order so when food arrived, mine was completely wrong and then they came back with the correct food, but I had asked for sausage meat and was given bacon. The food was just okay, it's sort of like a step up from ihop. They give you a very large serving for the price which I did like. The pancake that I ordered was 2x bigger than my head. Also, the hostess tried to sit us directly under another family in the completely empty restaurant. Which I found odd being that covid is still a thing. Today we went for brunch and our food came out hot and was so good.. the gravy actually had some sausage in it, which it didn't seem to in the past , and the biscuits were fluffy and soft. Eggs all done to perfection, bacon very tasty, and potatoes okay. A few onion in the potatoes would kick those up a notch.. the coffee was good and they did make decaf especially for me.. the coffee, however, came out later. I'm so excited that BA has another breakfast spot! We actually went for lunch today (because we had already eaten breakfast earlier) but you can order either option. I love the style and layout of the restaurant. We were in a smaller room off to the side that made it a bit more quiet which was nice! We were told the wait would be about 10-15 for a table, but it only took about 5 minutes which was great. I ordered the Buffalo chicken tenders and my husband got the regular chicken tenders. My son ordered a breakfast burger (don't remember the name of it, but it had egg and hash browns on it). The Buffalo tenders were ok! I loved the thinner strips rather than big thick strips. The Buffalo sauce had almost a sweet spicy taste which I didn't care for that much, but overall they were ok! It came with a big biscuit and fries and both of those were good. The biscuit reminds me of a large version of a KFC biscuit. I prefer a biscuit with a more crispier outside and soft inside, BUT it was still good. I'm sure it's even better with gravy! Hubs didn't care too much for the tenders. He said the breading was kind of weird and didn't have a whole lot of flavor, but I tried them and they were good to me...but the breading was a different texture then normal tenders. My son LOVED the burger. He said it was really good! We all got sweet tea and it was very sweet, so if you don't like it overly sweet, maybe do a half sweet/half unsweet tea. Our waitress was very nice and even recommended some options to us. She was very attentive too! Our food took a little bit, but it was really busy so that's to be expected. It was nice and fresh, so no complaints there! Overall, I'm still very excited about this place. Had 4 different servers and a manager walked into the side room we were sat in and they ignored us.
