The food was good but not great. I had chicken Parmesan the sauce was so spicy that I did not eat the pasta. My husband had a hamburger steak The meat was tender and flavorful but there was no side, just the meat. We paid 4.50 each for a side salad with thin blue cheese dressing with no blue cheese in it. The bison burger was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The bacon jam was extra...didn't order it but got I anyway and had to pay for it. The smoked trout drip was so cold...like they'd pre made it and just pulled it out of fridge and really it was cream cheese with a hint of smoked fish with dill on top. My family (5 of us) met there for dinner. It was our first visit. We were very excited to be together and enjoy great food BUT that wasn't what we got. The restaurant itself is very inviting, with great ambiance. While looking at the menu, we were very surprised to read, main entrees come alone, NO SIDES. You can choose sides but each side is a separate price. This quickly adds up. We ordered 2 coconut shrimp as appetizers. We got tiny shrimp without any coconut. My mom needed a refill on her soda & the waitress seemed to be a little annoyed at the request. When the refill did arrive, it looked like tea instead of coke. It took awhile to get a correct refill. The food wasn't anything to write home about. Eating out is my family's fav thing to do so when it is disappointing, it just ruins our whole day. We won't be back. read more

Quaint and cute little place in Clarksville. We took our sports car out for a drive and ended up in Clarksville so we stopped by this restaurant and shared the spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips, stuffed pork chop with a baked sweet potato and afterwards a delicious key lime pie. We started with a cocktail (Cosmo and Manhattan) which were well crafted. Then a Caesar salad and the Simple Pasta with chicken which was fantastic. Very fresh, light and flavorful. The service was great and the atmosphere was a nice blend of rustic and elegant. This seems to be a place where you can dress up for a steak dinner or enjoy a more casual night out. Rustic looking place from the outside and continuing after you get inside. Rough finish in the walls and open ceilings. Had the Highlands Gaelic Ale, Really good and smooth. Order the Coconut Shrimp with Orange Marmalade Sauce. Tasted very good with the marmalade a little different but it went well. My wife had the Chicken Salad on. Croissant with homemade Potato Chips. Croissant was toasted and my wife said the Chicken Salad was great. Homemade potato chips tasted great also. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with Fries it was excellent and the fries were just right. Our server was excellent and always watching to make sure we had everything we needed. We went to this place last night. We ordered the filet steak. When the food came out the steak had a funny smell to it like it was rotten. So we sent it back and removed it from the check. What was the most irritating part about it, is the manager didn't come over and express concerns. So if you want rotten meat and the possibility of getting sick come here. Actually a very solid 4.5. Management has really stepped up their game in recent months. While maintaining a wide selection of menu choices--and shifting to a bit more of an "a la carte" experience---the expertise of the kitchen and the great wait staff have them doing a brisk business. The Cedar Plank Salmon is always so perfectly prepared it is difficult to choose another entree. Summer salad is not to be missed. Easily the best choice in downtown Clarkesville. read more

We we're starving and on the way out town when we saw this pop up under dog-friendly restaurants. The restaurant looks like an old house that has been made into a restaurant. The parking is limited, and most of it is behind the restaurant. We started with Smoked Trout Dip and added some tortilla chips to the mix for a gluten-free option for my sister who is gluten intolerant. Then, she had a spinach salad. My mom got broccoli, vegetables, and a side salad with the Vidalia Onion Vinaigrette. She was happy with her selections. I got the California wrap with a side salad and the Vidalia dressing. Just came to the Attic for the first time! I really loved my experience! My relatives have come here for years. All of our food was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the Simple Pasta dish and a Crème Blué. I would definitely recommend this! Our server Vicki was incredibly nice and considerate! She also recommended some of the dishes to us! Went here on a whim to have Easter lunch with my wife. Was very impressed! Sat outside in the patio area. Great service! Friendly staff! Ordered white cheese and chips as an entree. It was very good. The chips were fresh and the cheese dip was like queso but had a smokey flavor to it that made it very pleasant. I ordered the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes as my entree and it was hands down some of the best meatloaf I've had in years! It was a little shocking when our food was served to us, on paper plates, plastic utensils, styrofoam cups etc. I understand being cautious during this covid-19 ordeal (hoax), but c'mon... dishwashers kill germs! Plus, there was an add on surcharge on just about every menu option. We started with the fried green tomatoes. (Had to wait for... then ask for eating utensils) I would rate them as average. Although, the boom boom sauce served with... was/is differently tasty. I ordered the shrimp po boy w/fires for my meal. (We asked beforehand if the fries were hand cut in house. (We were told, they were.) Well, the fries we received were the frozen (bagged) crinkle fries! The onion rings are also from of a bag, frozen! Not something I'd expect from a higher-end establishment. Another shock for this (co-called) high-end restaurant, was the bathroom(s)! We shared a spinach salad and I thought the dressing had a funny taste. Other friend had california wrap and sweet potato fries and she said it was good. We sat outside and beware.... the street noise is loud but it was otherwise nice and well ventilated. The desserts were the worse. We got cheesecake and lemon chiffon pie. I was very impressed by our first experience at the Attic. I made a reservation online and we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was amazing (I wish I could remember her name to brag on her). The atmosphere was interesting with so much exposed brick. The fresh bread was to die for. I ordered the pecan crusted trout with mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. 5/5!! Plus the portion size was generous. My boyfriend had the pork chop. It wad stuffed with prosciutto and had a blackberry glaze on top. He said it was the most unique tasting pork chop he's ever had. Stopped here for a late lunch after a drive on Monday (Presidents Day). We have a dog, so wanted an outside seating area, and the Attic had a great street front area that fit the bill. Lots of traffic on the main drag in Cleveland GA, but pleasant nonetheless. Since we were really focused on dog friendly, not quality food, we didn't expect much. So when the food and drink were excellent, we were happily surprised. The young woman server was also very nice, pleasant and professional. The food: I had a Philly cheesesteak and my gosh, it was good. Roll was fresh and soft, steak and cheese delish! Side of onion rings hot and cooked just right. Hubs had a Reuben and same side. Both very good per hubs. Fairly extensive wine list and the California cabernet I had was delish also. Check the Attic out if you are in Cleveland GA area and have Fido along, or even if you don't. Went there for our anniversary dinner and we were very impressed! After we found the door (hidden in old roll up door) opened up to rustic beauty. Our server Amanda was spot on for our every need. The bread was fresh with olive oil and crisp and salads fresh and flavorful. I had the shrimp dinner and the split them half blackened and half fried and they were awesome and huge. Wife had the ribeye steak rare and it was cooked to perfection and her vegetable medley was cooked perfectly and flavorful! To full to try dessert but we will catch that next trip through!! The Attic is a good place to grab a bite to eat. Prices are pretty reasonable (at least during lunch) and you do get your moneys worth. When you walk into the building, it does look old and rustic; the tables do have tablecloths and paper lining on top. Not really a fan of tablecloths at a restaurant because you don't really know how often they get washed. The lighting was also not great, it was a little dark so a little hard to see. I did notice a leak upon exiting the building but for now I didn't notice any leaks above the tables. 1. Food The food fantastic, definitely would go back. The presentation of the food was different. I ordered the chicken fingers and fries with ranch and a sweet tea. - Chicken: a little dry, but very crispy (the way I like fried chicken). Flavor was mild, and didn't have too many spices coating it. The only weird thing I noticed was the chicken was laid on a bed of leaf lettuce. I have never seen a restaurant do that, but it didn't bother me. - Fries: little crispy and not soggy. They were golden and did not appear to be cooked in old oil (brownish color fries). They were medium thickness which is perfect for fries. - Ranch: yes, I feel weird reviewing it, but there is a reason (past experiences) I believe it was buttermilk ranch, may have been watered down just a smidge. Still had flavor and the do give you enough to dip the chicken and fries in and still have a little left. - Sweet Tea: Now for someone who drinks a lot of sweet tea, I can tell you it's not terrible. Though I wasn't a fan, I would order again. The tea was a little strong, but not super sweet. 2. Service Service was a little slow, but given short staff issues going around; they did a pretty good job. I did run low on tea, but they did get me a refill before the glass ran dry. I was looking for somewhere to have early dinner after going to Tallulah Gorge State park and found The Attic on Yelp. It's a cute location in the downtown area, and we opted to sit out on the patio area to dine. Our server was kind and efficient and offered suggestions after asked what she liked on the menu. She said anything with shrimp, and really everything was good. I got a margarita for a cocktail and it was fine, but nothing to write home about. We shared the coconut shrimp appetizer and it was tasty but I thought the shrimp were small for 10.95 for 5 shrimp. Maybe I'm just used to living close to a shrimp basket where their coconut shrimp appetizer is really impressive. Anyhoo. I got a glass of apothic red blend and since I have had it before, knew what to expect. The wine list was ok but seemed a little bit pricey for the offerings. I decided I wanted the filet since she said the mushrooms and bordelaise sauce was good, and my boyfriend got the French dip (the server said that was her favorite sandwich on the lunch menu). My filet came with a side salad and side of my choice so I opted for the baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar. The filet was cooked to my liking (rare) - but I ordered the jumbo shrimp add on and it did not come with the plate. (Kinda glad it didn't after seeing the coconut shrimp and then realizing the add on shrimp for 4 jumbos would have been 14$). The filet was already pricey at 47$ -- and it was fine, but certainly not anything I would get there again. I found the sauce underwhelming and watery, nothing like the rich, unctuous bordelaise sauces I have had before. The asparagus were cooked nicely, but not very many spears. The baked sweet potato was as expected. My boyfriend's French dip was disappointing, honestly. He said it tasted like the steak-ems you get in the freezer and then heat up, and there were way too many HUGE pieces of onion all over the sub. The au jus was not very flavorful, more like a beef bouillon cube heated up. All in all, for about a 100$ tab, I definitely would not eat here again. I was hoping this would be the "nice" dinner out of our trip, but the food, in my opinion, was lacking. read more

Food came out promptly- I wasn't overly impressed with my rueben. It was a 3 outta 5. Order sweet potato fries and for some reason they tried to make them sweet and less healthy by adding cinnamon sugar to them. Just stick to salt- We'll visit again as Clarkesville is a cute lil town. I came back here after quite some time, and it had definitely improved. On a Sunday afternoon they were not overly busy, and the staff was extremely attentive. We got an appetizer of Lobster Pimento Cheese dip and it was so good. For my meal I got the Ribs and Sweet potato fries and they were awesome! This spot is equally adorable inside as it is outside, as its located in a small town "nook" amidst 5 or 6 boutiques around (think downtown Boca but the size of a thumbnail).Its slab down between the countryside, you take a couple steps and you're back in the rolling hills. You're immediately grasped by a airy and tuscan feel upon entry. The wait staff was warm and inviting, the gentleman that served us was attentive. The tortilla chips were more of homemade baked pita chip texture, but tasted more like wonton chips, which were delicious; super fresh and right amount of crispiness, the sprinkled parmesan cheese on it, worked impeccably together. The spinach dip was bomb! The look of it was deceiving, I immediately thought "oh no, not white queso dip!" but certainly not! Creamy, earthy, decadent, very unique approach to the typical at All-American chains. The spinach and artichokes themselves were sparse, in which you're probably thinking then why such the hype if its not living to the literal name of the dish haha! But the dip mixed with the chips was that enticing! As for the pricing and portion ratio, it was excellent, 7 bucks and change for a generous portion of the chips and dip.My boyfriend ordered the swiss mushroom burger which included a side from either french fries, sweet potato, mashed potato, steamed broccoli. He really enjoyed his meal. For one drink and our 2 meals, it came out to $23+tip. It was a memorable and relaxing dinner spent on vacation in a town we were unfamiliar. My wife had the Stuffed Pork Chop and I had the Shrimp Alfredo. Both were delicious. Portions were generous and we ended up taking some with us.
