    Steak Sandwich and fries

Man! Great food and great environment. Although I'm mad at myself to limiting myself to the steak sandwich. I tried my wife's rice bowl and loved the amount of flavors it offered. I was even jealous of her heated up leftover smell wafting through the house the next day as she heated them in the microwave. We'll be back. Our waitress Chantel was super helpful as our first time visiting and when we asked about certain items she wasn't biased and recommended pretty much the whole menu haha. It shows the flavor and food choices you won't be disappointed.

Food was awesome, service was great, everyone provided great customer service, waited for a table at the bar, while having, drink, hostess remembered us and sat us accordingly. Vibe was great, had music playing to fit the vibe.

I went to The Hush Cuban Kitchen & Bar on Friday, August 15th, and the food was so good I had to come back just three days later on Monday the 18th! On Friday, I tried the Pulled Pork Egg Roll -- crispy, golden perfection with a citrusy, flavorful pork filling. For my entrée, the Georgia Pan Con Lechón sandwich was packed with flavor and held together beautifully. The peach jam, smoked gouda, sautéed onions, and citrusy pork created the perfect sweet and savory balance. The French fries were some of the best I've ever had -- crispy, flavorful, and addictive! I paired it all with a Watermelon Mojito, the most refreshing Mojito I've ever had. When I returned Monday, I started with the Black Bean Dip -- amazing! The cilantro ranch, guacamole, and salsa blended so well with the dip, and the tortilla chips were flavorful and far better than the usual kind you get elsewhere. For my entrée, I had the Hush Latin Rice Bowl with Carne Asada Tips, and it was fantastic. Tender steak, hearty rice, fresh toppings, and sweet plantains that balanced everything perfectly. To drink, I had a Classic Mojito and a Strawberry Mojito -- both delicious. Truly the best Mojitos you'll find anywhere! On both visits I sat at the bar, and the service was just as impressive as the food. The bartender/waiter was attentive, friendly, and always there when I needed anything, checking in at just the right times. The warm, attentive service made the whole dining experience even better. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The food is full of flavor, the drinks are top-notch, the service is fantastic, and everything is made with care. Highly recommend!

Cute place & atmosphere. They are expanding so hopefully by this time next year they'll have some coladas & cortaditos on the menu. The food was tasty but it is more of a Cuban fusion spot vs authentic Cuban food. Their entrees are more like bowls vs a platter. Their fried cheese is definitely worth a try! Service was welcoming & very friendly. We'll see where they're at when we come up their way next year!

Uhmazing.. the appetizers are delicious! The place is beautiful and in a town you can walk around and shop etc. back to the food.. Every thing I tried ( yes I sampled almost everyone's food lol) the meat the corn cake, the shrimp, the plantains all cooked in a hot pan style had perfect browning to it. Flavor bombs and after I tried the appetizers I wanted to keep trying everything they have. This place is so worth trying and I would go out of my way to go again. Food we had: Croquettes, Yucca Fritters, fried Cheese, Yucca fries, Con( Corn cake ) dish, shrimp bowl, vaca frita, Ropa Vieja

Here's the truth: the food here is out of this world. My husband and I are from Tampa and we love Cuban food with a capital "L". Portions here are huge. Taste is totally authentic. They are killing it in back of the house as far as quality. What pains me to say is that the service here is absolute trash. We've been to eat here about half a dozen times hoping we would have a better experience because the food is that good. Sadly, we've been hugely disappointed each time. Service is EXTREMELY slow. It took about 30 minutes just to be served our drinks from the bar. When my husband's drink came, it was the wrong drink. When we ordered food, the waiter didn't know how to answer questions about the menu. When we were finally served our food about 30 minutes later (we had been sitting for an hour before we even ate anything), The waiter forgot to give us silverware so we stared at our entrees for another several minutes before we could get someone's attention. Lastly, The bathroom was stinky and dirty and there was no soap. We want to keep coming here for the sheer deliciousness of the food but I have to say after this particular visit, we may not. There is so much potential here! I think they need to staff up and do a better job with actual maintenance of the front of house! Three stars because of the quality of the food only.

The back wall, notice the chandelier of beer bottles, the menu and the picture of the legendary Celia Cruz.

I love the appearance of this location compared to the Hush to other location in Clayton because it reminds more of restaurants in Havana or Matanzas Cuba or Little Havana in Miami. I had a sandwich Cubano and a side of tostones with a cafecito. I give the tostones a 9.1, the cafecito a 8.7 and the Cuban sandwich 7.5 for my liking. I gave the Cuban a 7.5 because the pork was shredded I like my pork in a Cuban cut but the ham, cheese, pickle and mustard was good. The tostone and cafecito was very good. The food at Clayton and here were the same. I did not have a Cuban at Clayton but the Ropa Vieja was very good. The service was excellent. I will definitely return to both but more to the one here at Clarkesville because of the convenience to my travels.

    Cuban sandwich

Ordered the pork cuban sandwich, wife had the avocado salad. Both were excellent, service was good, not rushed. There for lunch and the place filled up quickly.

We are visiting Helen, Ga for October fest. Decided to venture out and saw The Hush on our way to the automobile museum. The food tasted amazing. The cheese fritters were eye rolling amazing. My daughter a very picky eater smashed her burger! The Cuban was also amazing!

The whole Snapper dish was yummy! Definitely worth a follow up visit for round two

The Uncle Nearest Whiskey shot was priced at $6. We were charged $10 and stated we had Jack Daniel's whiskey! When we pointed this out to our server, she said, "oh no, we have new menu prices, ok?" No, this is not okay. We should have been told this when ordering. Unbelievable the way she dismissed us.

LOL Mambo's Cafe is located in Buford, Ga which is Northeast of Atlanta. When we entered the restaurant after our 5k, we were seated immediately and I will say Im glad we showed up when we did, because when we left people were everywhere waiting to be seated. So, Our waitress was amazing, she didnt miss a beat all the questions we had, she answered! We started off a complementary garlic bread with a Verde sauce. It was green with a pinch of spicy, but it was very good. Next, we ordered the beef empanadas and they cut them up for us so that everybody could sample them. They were so good. I had to get an order to go to take them home to my husband. For my drink, I ordered a pink lemonade. It was almost like I needed some sugar and I knew that would hit the eight spot even though it was carbonated it still was good. For the main train I went with ANGUS CHURRASCO STEAK!! Medium well of course! Wowwwwww!! This steak was top-tier. I enjoyed every bit of it, and what I could eat. Of course, I had to take the rest of them. It came with an option of beans I went with black beans plantains in a Spanish rice, which was amazing. The chimichurri sauce that came on the steak was was flavorful yeah, I even asked for some to take home and verde sauce as well. Lol The steak was tender outside skirt steak grilled and topped with our famous chimichurri sauce (garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil). $28 My entire bill with $58 including the takeout empanadas I will most definitely be going back. I enjoyed every minute of this restaurant.

Ordering is simple; you can order at the counter or use one of the kiosks. Once your food is ready, they bring it directly to your table. I also appreciated the self-serve stations for sauces, water, utensils, and to-go boxes. I'm usually not the biggest fan of Cuban cuisine, but was in the area and decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I ordered was better than expected. I went with the Combination Sampler, which is great if you want a little taste of everything. It came with a chicken empanada, papa rellena, fried yuca, ham croquettes, sweet plantains, and tostones. Overall, everything was prepared nicely. The only item I wasn't crazy about was the chicken empanada, which tasted a little plain and dry on its own. However, once paired with the sauces, it was much better. Speaking of sauces, they offer plenty of options at the sauce station. My favorite was the creamy cilantro sauce, which paired well with almost everything. They also had ketchup and mayo; perfect for dipping the crispy yuca fries. Along with a spicy sauce that definitely brought the heat. My go-to Cuban dish is usually a Cuban sandwich, but I didn't get a chance to try theirs this visit. Based on the rest of the meal, though, I'd definitely come back for it next time.
