    Marinated Chicken Over Rice

Absolutely wonderful restaurant and staff. It was our first time visiting and we received wonderful recommendations. Everything we had was delicious and the baklava is the best I've ever had. We're from out of town, but I'd drive up just to eat here again

We're in town for a family wedding and when it came time for dinner I knew looking through Yelp would help find a really good place to eat. I never expected to find such a wonderful authentic Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant in this lovely small town in Georgia. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was simply decorated and very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees were so friendly and the owner came over several times to talk, tell us about the homemade, healthy food they served and ask if we were enjoying our meals. We felt very welcomed and knew we made a great choice. Two of us had the Lamb curry special.... tender boneless chunks of lamb, rice and a small salad on the side. My husband and I had the Adana platter with lamb kebabs, soft pita bread, salad and white sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned and hot and fresh. We were all too full for dessert but they offered homemade kunafe(?) , baklava and ice cream.

I very rarely give a five Star rating as I save those for places that really blow me away. This was one of them! Owner meets you and seats you, discusses everything with you if needed and says his wife is the sole cook and they do everything fresh and from scratch. I let him pick mine and my wife had the chicken and rice. She is very picky so I was a tad afraid she wouldn't like it but she ate it all as did I on my sampler platter. Then came the best baklava I have ever had with pistachio ice cream. There really is not anything else I can say, if I'm back in town, I'm back here!

This place was an absolute pleasure. The dining experience was A+. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very clean, spacious and had a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were pleasant and the owner came by several times to check in with us. Our food was served promptly, well prepared and was extremely tasty. We got the potato balls as an appetizer and the adana special was our main course. Both were excellent. One of the best dining experiences I have had in the past decade. My family will be back whenever we are in town.

The service and food were absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend stopping by if you haven't already. If we lived nearby I would eat here at least one a week!

Looking for a cute, classy Turkish restaurant in the heart of Virginia Highlands. This is your…read morespot! I went for happy hour which I highly recommend. It's from 3-6pm Monday through Thursday (I believe). They have $6-8 cocktails and a variety of food in the $5-10 range. The food was all fantastic, as was our waiter. He constantly checked on us, kept the complimentary bread supplied, and gave great recs for both food and cocktails. I love a waiter who explains the menu so you know what you're getting into beforehand. As we were leaving, it was torrentially down-pouring and the host was so kind to let me borrow his umbrella to get to my car. It's rare to find this level of hospitality these days and it made my already great experience here even better.

Not bad but in a city with as much great Middle Eastern food as Atlanta, it only makes sense to…read morereach beyond Truva. Spots I would rather recommend for a nice night out are Delbar, Rumi's, and Yalda. My friends and I tried the Muhammara Dip, the Feta Cheese Rolls (reminiscent of spanakopita but no spinach and in roll form), the Truva Dumplings, and the Iskender Kebab. The Iskender Kebab and the Muhammara were the best of the bunch, but overall I think I was expecting more punch from the spices and greater nuance in the flavors of each dish. The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already. I would come back to this spot to get a handful of appetizers, eat that bread, and hang out for a few hours. It does seem like the restaurant needs more staffing. Everyone we saw was very kind, but it took a long time to get a server's attention whenever we needed something.

Restaurant is divided into two partitions - the dinning area and the bar area. Both similarly sized. Saturday nights are pretty busy so we made a reservation. Food wise - it is pretty typical Turkish food - but really great. Chicken shish kebab, gyros and variety of cold and hot appetizers. For dessert - a mandatory baklava with Turkish coffee. If you love authentic Mediterranean and Turkish flavors made with the freshest ingredients -- this one's a must-try. We kicked things off with handcrafted cocktails -- The Martini? Officially on my "every single visit" list. The Smoky Nights - a nice amalgamation of Mezcal and Black Label The Old Efendi Fashioned was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Cold Mezze Board was a stunning collection of flavors -- every bite delivered. The spicy ezme easily stole the show for me. Sigara Börek came out hot and crisp -- the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for. For entrées, the Chicken Shish and Atlantic Salmon were cooked to perfection -- well-seasoned, juicy, and served with delicious accompaniments that tied everything together. Dessert was a sweet surprise -- The Kazandibi (homemade milk custard) was melt-in-your-mouth good without being overly sweet. And the Künefe? Perfectly portioned and every bit as indulgent as you'd hope. A refreshed vibe, authentic flavors, and 20 years of getting it right -- Efendi Mediterranean is ready for its next chapter.
