Good stuff. And nice young couple that run the place. Glad to support local entrepreneurs rather than DQ for a dessert treat with the kids.

The second time I came back we were greeted with a 30-min wait, which was expected due to the weekend and peak hour. But to our surprise we were actually seated within 15-minutes. While we waited, I used the restroom for the first time and it was clean and smelled fresh with cute decor. We were served with drinks right away and our server was very pleasant and accommodating. We looked at the menu beforehand, but last minute my husband and I decided to try recommended dishes. Here's our spread: Strawberry Short stack - 5/5 Sausage and egg biscuit with - 4/5 Cowboy omelette - 5/5 Chicken & Waffles - 5/5 Philly Fries Meal - 5/5 Bottomless Sweet Tea - 5/5 The pancakes were moist and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. My daughter swore she'd eat the entire stack, but of course we knew otherwise. My mother in law enjoyed the sausage and egg biscuit, the sausage was a little more well done than she'd like but everything was seasoned well. The Philly fries were a surprise due to its massive size. My family demolished it. It was seasoned well with the right balance of meat, onions and cheese, my daughter wanted to it all by herself lol. The Cowboy omelette was also massive. The eggs cooked well stuffed with all the fixings - they definitely didn't skimp on it. Topped with fresh guacamole and salsa it was a delight. The chicken and waffles was recommended by our server and my husband was amazed by the whole dish. The balance of sweet and salty and the textures were perfect. The crunch of the chicken didn't take away from the moist meat. He created his "perfect bite" with a piece of chicken and waffles and it was heavenly. I'd definitely get it for myself next time. The waffle had a slight bite but also moist. I've experienced dry waffles before and this proved otherwise. Overall the experience was great. The service was excellent especially during a rush hour. Also we were very happy to see the Christmas decor. It really felt like a hometown feel and we enjoyed every minute. Definitely have Oy! on your list for brunch with the family! I'd visit once a week if I could.

We ordered a few different dishes including steak and eggs, French toast, pancakes with bacon, and a burger with fries. The steak was cooked nicely, but it was a little tough. The French toast was thick and tasty, but it tasted more like bread pudding to me--it wasn't as light and fluffy as traditional French toast. The pancakes were simple but good. Portions were generous and definitely filling. Overall, the food was good, but not quite as impressive as I had expected. I also wish their juice was fresh squeezed. Overall, it's a solid brunch spot, but with a few small improvements it could be even better.

The biscuits and gravy were good...not the best...but good! My husband got the pancakes and said they were a little cold but, if they had been hot, they would have been excellent! Oh! Unfortunately, that's really the highlight of our visit. We were starving, so we all ordered hearty plates. My daughter ordered chicken strips with okra and corn. I had the same but swapped for mac & cheese and green beans. My husband ordered the roast beef with green beans and mac & cheese. All meals came with a cat head biscuit. The food looked great, but there was zero seasoning in anything. I honestly don't know how you mess up green beans, but somehow it happened. I barely made it through two bites of the chicken just to get something in my stomach. Then I tried the mac & cheese... OMG. I can't even describe the taste--I discreetly spit it into my napkin. Thankfully my daughter shared her okra, which was the only decent thing on my plate. Her "corn" turned out to be creamed corn, which she doesn't like. She thought she ordered regular kernel corn, so she was disappointed. She used enough ketchup to get down two chicken strips. My husband's roast beef was... interesting. It was more like a shredded roast-and-rice casserole. Not sure if that's even a thing, but that's what it resembled. He said it tasted good and ate it all, but even he couldn't touch the mac & cheese. He poured almost an entire salt shaker on his green beans just to make them edible. In the end, the best thing on the table was the cat head biscuit. Again, the staff was absolutely wonderful--truly the saving grace of this place. But as friendly as they are, the food alone isn't enough to bring us back.
