There were several regulars that were popping in to get their fresh baked leaves of bread. The owner is a British man with a wonderful personality and accent. We ordered a plain ham sandwich which was hand sliced ham on fresh baked bread, and a Brie, Parma ham, and fig jam sandwich on fresh bread. This is not a fast food restaurant, it's one guy doing everything, and it's worth the wait. This may be the best sandwich I've ever eaten! Everything he does with food is intentional and the quality is second to none. The place is super clean, and you can tell he's glad that you're there to try his food. Some may think that his pricing is high, but rest assured the quality and taste outweigh the price. It's worth the money. He has assorted chips and a variety of cold drinks. My wife and I were visiting, but when we come back this will be the first lunch I eat. Collin (the owner) thanked us for coming. 5 stars all day long.

The menu is extensive and is made up of various baked goods designed in the UK, France, and Italy (and maybe more). Megan had a chicken salad sandwich that had bacon, some fruit, and was on focaccia. Megan enjoyed it a lot. I had some butternut squash soup and a steak pie. Both were mighty tasty. I had a good laugh when the owner said to be sure to use all the gravy. LOL you dont know me, I will take two gravies! We had a few baked goods to go including a pasty, croissant, and a bear claw. These were good but as with all freshly made baked goods you need to eat soon, don't let it linger! Oh yeah, looking at my photos the reason that we went to FWS in the first place was to pick up some baguettes to make banh mi sandwiches, and those were great.

The negatives... Paid $23 for 6 macaroon's and an iced coffee. The macaroons were leftover and not fresh. They were likely made in house, but even more likely to have been frozen for an extended amount of time then thawed to be served. This left them with a freezer burnt taste and very hard to chew. I bought 3 flavors, took one bite of each to compare, and ended up throwing them all away. If they had been fresh made, I guarantee they would have been delicious. Five stars for the coffee and ambiance. 2 stars for price and bakery items. Splitting the difference to give this place 3 stars and would potentially try it again just for the coffee.

The lemon blueberry bread appeared to be extremely popular on social media and now I know why! The bread is delicious. It's not an overwhelming lemon taste and they use actual blueberries. The cheddar rosemary was amazing and I'll be back for more of it. I think it would be really great to make sandwiches with. Their brownie was good but the bread is what got me there and will have me going back.

Oh, Country Bake Shoppe, you got me!…read more Being a bakery owner myself, I'm always excited to visit other bakeries. I genuinely enjoy seeing what other bakers create, tasting their specialties, and supporting the talent and hard work that goes into a small bakery. I stopped by Country Bake Shoppe and picked up Whoopie pies, cupcakes, and a pecan bar. Pumpkin nut bread was NOT on my original list. Then I tasted the Whoopie pie. Y'ALL. It was so good that I had to go back and get something else! That's when the pumpkin nut bread came home with me too. When something is good enough to make another bakery owner turn around and go back for more, that says something! There was something so comforting about this little country bakery. Nothing pretentious--just beautiful, homemade baked goods that taste like they were made by people who truly care about what comes out of their kitchen. As the owner of Sugar Daddys Bakery, I spend so much of my life creating things for other people to enjoy. Every once in a while, it's wonderful to be on the other side of the counter and simply enjoy another baker's work. And Country Bake Shoppe, I ENJOYED YOURS! That Whoopie pie got me through the door, but it certainly won't be the last thing I try. From one bakery owner to another: well done. There is room for all of us to shine, and I will ALWAYS celebrate another baker who is putting love into what they do. You definitely have this baker's stamp of approval. And yes...I'm still thinking about that Whoopie pie.

I have to be honest, desserts for our wedding was the last thing that we booked as we had a bit of decision paralysis, but our cake tasting meeting with Jennifer quickly set us at ease. She was so easy to work as she provided her knowledge and guidance while also ensuring our voice and our needs were heard and met. We were blown away by both the flavor and design of our custom cake, as it was far more perfect than anything we had imagined! Additionally, our guests devoured all of the cupcakes that Jennifer and her team brought over, and they were so excited to be able to share which of the three flavors they enjoyed the most!
