Have been to this place since COVID-19 pandemic for the past 6-7 years continuously atleast twice or even thrice an year and it has stayed the same when it comes to service some delicious ice creams. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have now developed and evolved a lot especially with the bathrooms and seating around the area where they serve the ice creams.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm so glad that I get to visit this place to have some fantastic ice cream experience out in the farms overlooking the green pastures and cows grazing (sometimes).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do close relatively early at around 5:30 PM but that being said, they have some excellent staffs who are courteous, quick and kind enough while they take orders. They run of out the week's special so quickly so try to be there as early as possible. The lines can go up to the parking lot during busy weekends especially on Saturday's and Sunday's late afternoon. So plan accordingly. They are strict on timings; literally saw an elderly senior couple driving in desperately to try their ice cream 3-4 minutes past the closing time and they were denied service. While I truly understand their pain I feel the staffs had every right to deny service beyond their closing time. So just repeating myself, plan accordingly and visit. If you are reaching at 5:31 PM as per Google Maps, then simply stop driving and visit on another day. I haven't tried their milkshakes, but would definitely recommend their ice creams. I tried buying milk at their store but it didn't work out well for me. So have avoided buying milk from them. It was the best milk I've tasted in my life and I'm not even kidding. We also tried the chocolate milk and it tasted like cold hot cocoa. It was rich, not overly sweet, and you can taste the essence of both the chocolate and the milk. We decided to buy one gallon of the chocolate milk (We're kicking overselves for not buying the regular milk), and also a cute milk scented candle in a milk jar bottle. Their candles all smell really good! The shop also sells merchandise, frozen mac and cheese, fresh cheeses, meats, etc. We walked outside to the ice cream stand and there was a little wait since the line was long. And we can see why! I had the butter pecan ice cream and my husband had the vanilla shake. The ice cream was full of flavor, creamy, and I could taste each and every one of the pecans. It wasn't overly sweet as well. My husband had the vanilla shake and finished it in 5 minutes. He loves anything milk flavored and the vanilla shake hit all the right notes! It tasted more milk forward than vanilla and the milk was the star flavor (as it should be!) We left super happy and vowed to come back to get some of their fresh regular milk and try other flavors of their ice cream and shakes. Prices were reasonable and worth every penny. We couldn't go inside 05/02/2020, but they sell milk, butter, and ice cream inside as well. I had the birthday cake and it was divine - full butter fat ice cream with huge flavor. I tried the strawberry and cotton candy and it was delicious too. The cotton candy was the bluest blue and tasted just like candy - great for kids. The scenery and building area is very kept up and the fields around the store and ice cream window are so green and vast. They have 5-6 picnic tables with umbrellas and a huge cow for picture ops! WOW,​ the ice cream here is AHHHHMAZZINGGG!! On our drive back from Tallulah Gorge, we stopped by Mountain Fresh Creamery. My aunt raved about this place so I had to see what all the hype was about. It's located on a small road and there's a giant cow statue in front of the farm. There's plenty of parking on the left side of the shop. For quick ice cream/milkshake service, just walk up to the silo (the tall white round thing on the right side of the shop). Adjacent to the silo is​ several picnic tables you​ can hang out​ while taking in the fresh ice cream. New Silo Hours (as of 3/30/19): Friday 2 PM - 6 PM Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM Sunday 1 PM​ - 6 PM Although the silo may be closed, you can still purchase ice cream in the store. I tried the strawberry cheesecake waffle cone and it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. It was creamy and light. The one scoop waffle cone was plenty for me. Best once cream I've had! Needed to write a review because it was so delicious. Got the French Toast which was a weekly special item. It tastes just like French toast but not overtly sweet. The other ice cream scoop you can't see is Salted Caramel with Pralines. It was also incredible to the taste buds. You order at the silo and they have picnic benches with umbrellas for shade. You can go inside the red barn house to purchase pints or quarts of the different ice cream flavors. They also sell milk, cheese and other goodies. It is a MUST go to ice cream. Excellent choice to eat after a hike. There are many hiking trails nearby this area. We were driving by and out of the corner of my eye I saw a sign that says hand dipped cones. We pulled off into a parking lot and I checked the yelp reviews and it had glowing reviews so we turned around and I am glad I did. Mountain Fresh Creamery is a family farm which serves up dairy products like milk, butter and premium ice-cream. All of their products are hormone and antibiotic free. They also have farm tours for the kiddies. The cute location is kind of in the middle of nowhere but close to Cleveland, GA. if you're in the area. There is a small, outdoor seating area to watch the cars zoom by amidst a picturesque backdrop of blue sky, green grass and gravel. There is only outdoor seating. There's a small store in a red barn which sells non-homoginized milk. Unlike the watery milk you buy in the store, the cream rises to the top. I prefer raw milk but since it's illegal, maybe their 'low-temp pasteurization' process is the next best thing. I didn't try the milk but there was a steady stream of happy shoppers walking out with gallons. One such customer was the coroner which was a bit odd. He was just 'dying' to get in. (Couldn't resist, lol. Back to the review!) They also sell cheese and hand-rolled sausage and beef from a farm in Tennessee. The ice-cream is located in the 'silo' which is a walk-up area. There are 25 unique flavors. I got a waffle bowl with two scoops of caramel salted vanilla for $4. The scooper was amazingly precise. She literally gave me two scoops and not an eighth of a centimeter over that. It was thick, creamy and delicious but a tad bit too sweet for my palate. That Sangria I'd washed down thirty minutes prior probably didn't help. I tried a shake on another visit and was underwhelmed. In short, it wasn't the best ice-cream I've ever had. That honor goes to the Costco Brand vanilla. But you can take that with a grain of salt because I have travelled through several states to get to the right flavor (shoutout to Dietsch Brothers in Findlay, OH). But all things considered, they get five stars because it's a pretty tasty option and where else can you get two hand-dipped, antibiotic free scoops for $4? Nowhere. I'll definitely come back to try one in a less decadent flavor, maybe vanilla. read more

If you live anywhere within an hour and a half of this place and need a good excuse to just get out, get away and take a drive, then make this your destination. Whether just you, or you have a family with small children, big children, or no children, this place is a worthy reason to burn some gasoline! They make their own ice cream fresh, right here on the property from their own dairy cows. AND they are open 7-days a week (excluding major holidays)... so any day is a good day to drive here! The best part for me is there ice cream and milk are non-homogenized from what one of the staff member tells me. What that means is someone like me who has lactose issues should be able to eat their ice cream or drink their milk with very little to no effect. So I bought two scoops of the chocolate ice cream to test that theory. To be honest I've been here several times and I don't remember if their ice cream had any effect on me or not. Normally, eating 2 scoops of ice cream would turn me into a toxic waste exhaust duct relatively quickly! Super cute and a must stop for fresh dairy products! We sampled and sampled and every product was amazing! We got the most amazing pimento cheese, smoked Gouda, creamer, egg nog, and a little chocolate milk. Fairly priced and friendly staff. I am bummed it a little early for me to have some ice cream and being on a road trip it wasn't possible to take a pint with me. So on the next trip ice cream will be happening!
