The husband is very very rude go to the other location in gainesville downtown better atmosphere and much much better service. The owner should be ashamed of himself the way he treats and talks to customers - how embarrassing read more

I love Danny's, however I come in to get a blended ice coffee and order it. The guy makes me an iced coffee and I informed him I asked for frozen drink and he says too late you have to pay for it if you want it. I think I'll go else where. What kind of place doesn't make it right. read more

The chocolate frosting was inedible! We called afterwards and they said "sometimes they change the recipe". Like what?! The chocolate frosting tasted like acetone! Guess we should have tried the donuts before we drove away. The other donuts tasted fine, but they were small for the price. read more

Still the best donuts around. Love the breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well. My husband likes the apple fritter here and it's so hard to find a good one. They do have coffee drinks if your looking for breakfast. It's a locally owned place that now has several locations so bonus for supporting local. read more

I purchased a Danny's donut at Harbor Market in Gainesville Oakwood. This donut had to be made 2 weeks ago. It was a typical round donut with a chocolate topping. It was so dried out that when I broke it in half with my hands it made fine bread crumbs for all over the place. The chocolate on top of it was also a problem because it was smeared and tasteless. I don't mind spending a dollar1 79 for a donut that cost about 25 cents to make if it's going to be a decent donut. This was horrible. Never again for Danny's Donuts read more

"An enormous dish of balls of sweetened dough, fried in hog's fat, and called doughnuts, or olykoeks." Washington Irving History of New York 1809 According to the Oxford English Dictionary, Washington Irving was the very first to put this word into the English lexicon. (Although technically he was talking about doughnut holes) and if you're paying attention, it was doughnuts, not donuts. Donut, the American variant, first appeared in the late 1800s as a contraction of the original word, and didn't really catch on until very much later with the founding of Dunkin Donuts. Yeah, you can hit that little "useful" vote down there now. Danny's Donuts is a small donut shop which offers a very similar product as the aforementioned Dunkin Donuts, but in a mom and pop style shop. The prices are definitely better, Donuts run 90 cents each with half dozen at $4.95 and a dozen at $8.95. These are not fancy, designer donuts, and the shop itself is not upscale, chic or even hip casual. They are simple donuts displayed in utilitarian style behind functional glass cases with the requisite warnings not to knock on the glass. While labeling the donuts may cut back on the glass thumping, most of the customers here seem to know what they are getting. The Apple fritter is popular, and while not the biggest or the best, at .90 it's a good donut. Cinnamon rolls at .90 is also something not to overlook. The rest of the donuts are typical yeast and cake donuts. Overall, you get a good donut at a great price. The coffee is ground fresh and is a pretty decent cup. Danny's Donuts doesn't really have a lot of competition from any other independent shops in Gainesville, so it's placed well here to compete with the bigger chains. Did I mention donuts are 90 cents? read more

Close to my job and we order every week, sometimes I pick up the boxes and every time is a pleasant visit. Kind and fast. Love those donuts lol read more

Went in this morning and got a bagel with cream cheese, egg and bacon and started feeling awful a few min after eating. HORRIBLE acid indigestion - just awful! Was totally fine when I walked in. Egg was hot so I know that was just made but I think the bacon was old and rancid. Haven't been in this location in a long time. My daughter noticed how tiny the donuts are now. I do not recommend!! I'm seriously still belching burning acid after 2 damn hours! read more

We love Danny's donuts. My 4 year grandson and his Papa have Thursday donut day. When we started this at the beginning of this school year he first wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts cause that's where Mommy goes for coffee. I kept telling him that Danny's donuts are WAY better. After week 3 I asked him to just try Danny's just once. He came home and said Juju you were right I like Danny's better. He has never been back to the other place. Hahaha. read more

This is a spic n span clean place that offers a wide variety of donuts and pastries. We samples a dozen holes that were hot and would vaporize in your mouth. Best donuts ever! My nephew, who never gets excited about anything, bought a half dozen to take home. They are sweet and flavorful. I especially love the sour cream donuts and the apple fritters. Everybody who has them loves them. Just yum! read more

This place has the best donuts I have ever had. The doughnuts are better than Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Doughnuts. Need I say more? Well the maple bacon and the maple doughnut are my favorite and the glaze doughnut holes are awesome as well. However, if you go one time then you will be back for more. These doughnuts are very addictive because they taste so good. They are freshly made everyday and must be treated with proper care by having your favorite beverage like a cup of coffee, hot chocolate or a glass of milk to really enjoy your doughnut. Furthermore, my family and I have really become frequent diners at this restaurant and they need to have a frequent diner program because I am sure that we would be getting our card punched weekly to achieve the incentive that could be offered. Nonetheless, I am just saying that they are the best doughnuts that I know about and have ever tasted and I just want to spread the wealth of my taste buds to somebody else that may be interested something that is so good. Finally, my recommendation is to go to Danny's Doughnut shop and your life will never be the same. You will be hooked like me and my family.....Enjoy!!!! read more

All I have heard is you have to go to Danny's Donuts...have you gone to Danny's Donuts????? Well, I stopped by the Dawsonville Hwy store on my way to work and was truly very disappointed. I bought 3 donuts and all 3 were so greasy that I couldn't eat them. It left the roof of my mouth feeling as though I had eaten lard. I mentioned to my friend that I had tried them and they were horrible. She said the original one was not like that, they must have changed something. I said why would they change something that was working? But any way...my dannys donut experience was the worse.... read more
