100% recommend. They have some of the best food around and probably THE best tequila bar in town. Staff is always great and the vibe is amazing. read more

Order taker was extremely polite. The place does look a bit overwhelming with slot games, a mini market, bakery and merchandise on display for sale. Food does look and taste pretty good though. read more

This was a random moment: we were traveling from Augusta to Blue Ridge and selected a route through Gainesville. For whatever reason we decided we wanted to find a local seafood store with live lobster for dinner, and stumbled across a seafood store (that, by the way, turned out to be terrific--with the best (yes, the best)--fresh made ceviche we have ever had. And right there in front of the parking space was the Salvador bakery. Going in was almost an afterthought, but after watching so many folks coming and going we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed: incredibly welcoming and helpful, they spent time with Sandra explaining everything, making recommendations and even provided an extra "treat": a delicious tamale in the Salvador tradition. Not knowing what a pupusa is, we had several when back on the road, and thoroughly enjoyed them. The pastries looked delicious. This bakery was one of those incidental finds, made all the better by the quality of their offerings (cakes looked delicious), and the hospitality of their staff. Be prepared that that they are moving soon so check out their current location before your go. Sadly, that seafood market won't be next door in their new location. It was a "twofer" that made the visit all the more worthwhile. PS: until recently we owned a small home on the mid-eastern coast of Mexico. It was a quiet, welcoming community with wonderful memories of fresh vegetables and bakeries in a simple setting. We miss the food and we miss the people. This bakery brought those pleasant memories back to us once again. We are grateful to have found this bakery, and will certainly visit again on our regular travels to north Georgia, even if it means taking a modest detour. It is worth it. read more

Ordered a couple pupusa and an empanada. The Empanada was extremely small and the meat filling was predominantly potato. Garlic sauce was amazing. Pupusas were decent sized with a good quality cheese. Red salsa was awfully bland. Not likely to return. read more

Las pupusas estaban muy mal crudas resecas y mal echas nada que ver con las verdaderas pupusas

Their pastries are all wonderful. Have not eaten in bakery but my daughter has brought home assorted pastries numerous times.

Family owned and ran, wife is from Columbia. So e is the pastry baker. The Empanadas were the best I have ever had, full flavor, non greasy, had texture, simply amazing! You like Tacos!?! Drop in here and try and you will not regret! The Pupusas rocked. Not a sexy interior but the food makes it worthy for many return trips! Nicest people around! read more

I was in town with an Amazon production, taking a little tour of Gainesville on Sunday and happened upon this Pupuseria and Bakery in an industrial area of town. I'm a sucker for a Latin breakfast so stopped in for a Desayuno Deluxe and some cafe. Both were excellent. Loved the frijoles, the fried plantains and the way the eggs were scrambled. Their coffee was piping hot and delicious. Wish I was here longer so I could return. The family vibes made it a great place to chill and get a little writing done. Oh and their banana pan dulce was moist and delicious - tasted like a not-too-sweet bread pudding. Stop in for a comforting breakfast and sweet people! read more

The food is great and the staff is so nice! These are the best pupusas I've had in Georgia!!!

First let me share....the food is fab-u-lous! I ordered on Grubhub for a good of 10pp. I added notes to the order that I needed the order label per person. Most orders had additions or exceptions and they nailed. I love a well run ship....and this place is definitely well run. I ordered the seafood soup....man, the entire sea is in my container.....lol! read more
