Oh we are here again in Gainesville. Let's stop for a good dessert. Bruster's Real Icecream is on the way. We were greeted at the window by Erica. She was patiently helpful. My dessert was a unique presentation of apples and Vanilla Icecream called Apple Dumpling. It was heavenly as the apple dumplings were heated and the vanilla Icecream melting on top. A small cup of toffee and a medium wafflecone with different scoops of favorites were added. We had a wonderful Bruster's Real Icecream dessert. We will definitely do it again when we are back to Gainesville. read more

Surprisingly, we have a bruster's in my town but never been. Really feeling some dessert after dinner one night and we stopped by this bruster's. Pleasantly surprised, and it was delicious. We ordered a blast with cookie dough and chocolate almond ice cream. It's self service, you order up front and pay up front. They make it in front of you and it's pretty fast. Even if there is a wait, it's worth the wait. There is not really a sit down area except a small patio area but it's considered like "fast food" vibes where you order and take it to-go. Other than that, great experience, will be back! Till then, let's eat! read more

Took my Granny grocery shopping and then for ice cream! One look at the prices for a regular cone and she says "hun we can go to Walmart and whole gallon for this price"!!! Lol Gotta love her! A small waffle cone is normally $3.99 and regular is about $4.60 I believe. They had a special- 2 regular waffle cones for $7.99. "Hun, we're gonna pay $8 for two ice cream cones??" Yes ma'am, I'll pay for it. She happily slides her wallet back under her arm. Lol She did say that she loved the butter pecan, a few of the pecans were salty which she liked! I had coffee Oreo, can't go wrong there! They have free doggie bones and vanilla ice cream for your four legged friends! I told her that we'd have to bring our dogs back next time. An okay place for ice cream. Their parking lot was quite small and confusing, but, this is a place for an ice cream grab and go, not really for chilling. There are a few benches though if you wish to linger. Like any ice cream place, you can sample your heart out. There are unique flavors that I wouldn't advise just buying and go: purple dinosaur or pumpkin cheesecake for instance. The staff was cordial enough with no issues. Oh. The ice cream here was absolutely delicious! I tried a few different flavors before ordering and I became so indecisive! Every flavor I tried was just as good as the last. I ended up getting a regular sized waffle cone with three (!!!) flavors! I ordered Birthday Cake, Espresso Yourself, and Chocolate with a Hershey's Special Dark. Both the Birthday Cake and Espresso were vanilla based and the base reminded me a lot of Coldstone Sweet Cream ice cream! The waffle cone was really thin, crisp, and had great flavor. Since the abrupt closing of the Atlanta Hwy location, we had to find a new place to score Brusters ice cream when the mood hits. Nearest location is this one in Gainesville, and they have the same ice cream choices as the Brusters we were used to. The employees are friendly, and the ice cream is good. It's not the BEST ice cream I've ever had, but it seems to be the best in this area anyhow. Their prices are reasonable, and the choices are varied enough that pretty much anyone can find something they'll like, but not so lengthy that you can't make a decision. I highly recommend a peanut butter cup sundae, and if they happen to have Blue Monster ice cream in stock, that's a delicious change from the standard flavors. I definitely enjoyed that last night! Vanilla ice cream (dyed blue) with oreo cookies and cookie dough chunks - good thing I don't eat there too often! We make Brusters trips about a monthly occasion, and we've been to this location probably 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months, and have never had a bad experience. Will be back again. :) read more

Waffle bowl ooooooh. Been here twice and was great both times. What makes it great is the answer from staff is always "yes". Staff always been very upbeat and aim to please. Worth the 20 minute drive. Could use more seating but not that big a deal. read more

I will agree with several previous posters about the parking lot. The store is easy enough to see, but if you miss the turn it can get dicy if there is any traffic. This place has gone downhill. Ice cream flavors and choices were odd and sparse. After choosing one off of their listed menu of options I was told they were out of that. So I have to choose a second one off of the listed menu I was told they were out of that also. Keep in mind this is a Friday evening at 5:30 PM. It was not busy. If You're out of an ice cream take it off of your magnetic board it's that easy! There was not one ice cream on the menu that was anything gooey chocolatey like a chocolatey brownies something or caramel anything. other than just plain chocolate there's nothing with a chocolate base. My husband and I literally get ice cream at a lot of different places all the time and this is the worst selection of flavors I've ever seen. tasted the monkey one and the artificial banana flavor was so strong! The service was excellent although I know she got frustrated because I was getting frustrated with the options I just absolutely didn't want any of their flavors. Again, I've had ice cream at a lot of places I'm game to try a lot of different interesting combinations and there's just didn't cut it. We won't be back. Enjoy your "dinosaur" ice cream. read more

I've tried them all over North GA since my kids usually want to stop in when we are out and about, but THIS one has the best staff, friendly, quick and professional, and they really have fresh, delicious ice cream. my family and i have never, ever had an issue at this location until today. i was disgusted with the behavior of the owner. i told him i was going to place an order with him but pick it up in 30 minutes. he just stares at me like he's never heard anyone say that before. i told him that all of my ice creams were going to be double scoops then he cuts me off to say we only have these sizes and pulls back the menu board that literally says size small 2 scoops..... i look at him and told him that a small is double scoops? he just looks at me. i begin to read him the ice creams off of my list starting with that i wanted a small butter pecan ice cream, a small birthday cake ice cream, and he walks off! absolutely disgusting. i'm watching him as he's making the two ice creams and he comes back to the counter and sets down the two ice creams. he asks me if there's anything else. well maybe if you didn't walk off you would know that i was in the middle of telling you what i wanted. i have never had an issue at this bruster's because Stacy is the best! it's a shame. they've lost customers for life. i just walked away. never coming back read more

Frequented this location for many years. Always bought at least one birthday cake a year with perfect results. Couldn't speak highly enough of their product. Until this year. The cake was so obviously lopsided that the box crushed half of it. When we cut into it, there was little to no fudge center. And there were few toffee bits. The bottom most layer consisted of lopsided super thick vanilla ice cream. I questioned the cake's appearance and was in such a hurry and confused that I accepted the answer that all was well. Then we got it home and took pictures of the lopsidedness and the super thick writing that barely managed to fit my child's name in it. It was in a word, ugly. When I called the store to speak with the owner, this woman who claimed to be the owner and the person who made the cake ARGUED with me that she thought the cake was lovely and just fine. I insisted on a refund and eventually receive a credit of the purchase price on my credit card. This is the only reason this store gets 2 stars. I shall NEVER again frequent this store again. The owner takes no pride in their product. BEWARE! read more
