I've eaten a lot of pie over the years, homemade, fresh baked from a bakery and from the freezer, this peach pie was one of the best peach pies I have ever ever ever eaten hands down. The crust and lattice work was amazing, the pie was loaded with larges slices of peaches folded into a slight tart filling and for me the most impressive feature of the pie besides the taste was the texture of the fruit which was still relatively firm instead of being mushy like you get in some fruit pies. I am definitely a fan of this bakery and fortunately for me I have a camping trip planned next month in very close proximity to them and will absolutely pay them an in person visit to see what other goodies they have to offer and to fill my freezer. Southern Baked Pie Company is definitely a company you should try...

For the sake of honesty, let me start by saying my initial experience with the Gainesville store…read morewas not awesome. BUT... Management made it right and I sincerely appreciate that effort even though I didn't expect or ask for anything like that to happen. The director of operations went above and beyond and it says a lot about a company when their upper management actually cares that much about one customer's experience. All I wanted was to make a listing error known after what I thought I ordered turned out to be something completely different. My issue was more than fixed by the DoO personally bringing me the pot pie I'd thought I'd ordered as well as a full sized key lime pie; and I'm so appreciative of the effort put forth to make things right. It was completely unexpected but a beautiful gesture just the same. With that said... My thoughts on the food? Cons: I do think it's a bit pricey for a pot pie or a pie in general. The filling needs to be a bit thicker. It was a tad too runny. Pros: Can I make a great pot pie from scratch at home? Yes. Did I have time to do that this week? No. Is mine as good as theirs? Filling wise? Maybe, however theirs did have a very nice flavor. But their crust is FABULOUS! And just so happens to be the best part of a pot pie, in my opinion and I humbly admit, in that realm, they have me beat by miles. We got the frozen, take and bake, which was super convenient. Directions were easy to follow. Just remove the plastic wrap, pop in the oven on 400 for 30 minutes and then lower temp to 375, bake again for an additional 50-60 minutes. Leaving me without having the usual mess I create when I make my own pot pie and after an incredibly busy Monday-Wednesday, I was so grateful! The key lime pie... all I can say is WOW!! I'm not a dessert baker and don't really eat dessert often but I could make an exception for that pie, ANY TIME!! It was just the right balance of tart and sweet, and so creamy! I also loved, even though this is probably an unpopular opinion, that they didn't cover the pie in meringue. Over all, initial error/experience aside, I'm very happy with the food and its quality, as well as the business ethics of the company as a whole. Would I do it again? Yeah, I think I would. It's a healthier option than fast food and even with the price being a bit high, I think it's worth it.

The coffee drinks were spectacular. We tried both the hot and iced Macadamia Nut Lattes, and both versions were absolutely fantastic. The service was friendly, laid back, and truly embodied the aloha spirit and shaka vibe. Food-wise, this place absolutely delivers. They hit the mark with authentic-quality Hawaiian food and delicious tropical fare. Parking is plentiful, and overall I'd rate Hello Hilo a 5-star masterpiece. Mahalo, thank you, and two thumbs up!

Wait time wasn't too terrible. We spent 75 dollars with items mentioned above and two ham n cheese sliders for the kids. I'd say don't bother with the fries, we ate here twice and each time, the fries were stale and luke warm. The environment is cool, clean, colorful, and plenty of seating. Don't go on a Sunday afternoon due to it being super filled with people. Second visit wasn't well. The lady at the counter didn't receive my order correctly, my husband had his meal and ate it before they corrected mine.(roughly 20 min) They have a partial refund which is fine. We will be taking a break for a while. The worker that took my order didn't seem happy and had quite an attitude. The manager came to fix it right away.

The friendly faces and the warm smiles that greet you are truly one of a kind. I went there for breakfast with my sister, and the homemade apple danish was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a coffee and it was delivered with a smile, and they ask if you want cream or sugar right at the counter. They also have a coffee kiosk area, where you can add your own cream and sugar. We were able to sit inside for as long as we wanted, and our server, Stephanie, came over to make sure that my coffee was hot and asked if I wanted a refresher. You have to understand that this is not a full restaurant, but a beautiful bakery that serves breakfast and lunch items for Pick-Up or eat in as they have tables available, but it is not a large place. I would absolutely recommend this place for homemade sweet treats, beautifully sandwiches, and soups. This is my new breakfast place on Saturdays! Definitely worth a visit! Go make some fabulous memories and safe journeys!

We found Puzzle Piece Pastries via Yelp and made the drive specifically to give them a shot. Yelp showed they were open until 5. We arrived about 4:15 (it was 4:20 when I got back in my vehicle). The sign on the door was flipped to "open" (see attached pic). I went in and was informed upon entering that they closed at 4. They were very nice about it but they were in the process of cleaning. That's why it's tough for me to leave this review. From what I could tell, it's a nice place. It seems like a lot of love has gone into creating a cute little shop. If I'm in the area again, I'll try again.

Hands down the best coffee and breakfast spot in Gainesville!…read more We've lived in Gainesville for a while and have tried all the new coffee shops that have popped up around the Square recently. While the new spots are fine, we decided to revisit Inman today. In my opinion, they're still the best coffee shop in town. First, the coffee quality is on another level. You can really taste the pride they take in selecting their beans. I ordered the "Fresh Start" latte with coconut milk, and it was easily the best latte I've had in Gainesville. They have the most impressive selection of non-dairy options I've seen. Most places only carry oat or almond, so finding coconut milk was a huge win for me. They also have a massive coffee menu with specialty items I haven't seen elsewhere, like a Breve! My husband got an iced mocha and a panini and absolutely loved both. Second, the food menu is incredible, especially if you have dietary restrictions. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities, and usually, my options are limited. Inman has the biggest gluten-free menu in the area--GF muffins, brownies, and actual GF bread options. I got the avocado toast on gluten-free bread topped with scrambled eggs. The bread was delicious (not cardboard-like at all!), the avocado was fresh, and the eggs were perfect. If you've been distracted by the newer shops, do yourself a favor and go back to Inman. Between the extensive menu, the high-quality coffee, and the dietary options, they are beating the competition by a mile.
