Well, so much to say! This place is a new favorite for sure! Made to order hot donuts! The Nutter Butter cookie is next level! Everything we had was delicious. The staff is very sweet and helpful. Treat yourself and visit here!!!

I can't believe Gainesville, GA is home to such a gem like Puzzle Piece Pastries! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they serve. I tried their breakfast croissant with sausage, egg, and cheese, and it was hands-down one of the best breakfast croissants I've ever had. And let me tell you about their biscuits and gravy... I'm normally not a fan, but their version is out of this world - the flavor was insane! All of their pastries were fresh and delicious, making it impossible to choose a favorite. If you're in the area, you have to check them out! Puzzle Piece Pastries is a local treasure that deserves all the support. Don't miss out on this amazing spot! A wonderful assortment of ice cream sandwiches and pastries made by the staff! Each and every person we met was very elated to help us. The cafe seating is a very intimate yet spacious. The bright colors and locally crafted gifts and coffee sets for sale made the space even more wonderful. Every item we tasted and even the ones that we brought home were flavorful yet delicate and enjoyed by everyone. Thai is a must see in the Gainesville Area!

I'm so happy for Gainesvilles to have a place like this to eat yummy food as well as employ more than 20 adults with disabilities. There's many ways to support this bakery and their mission. I'm glad I made the stop! Shout out to all the staff! Bonus drive thru and parking!

Toffee Pretzel, cookies and cream, pumpkin cheesecake and s'mores cookies!!!! Best ever!

SO much flavor, but if you're like me and can't handle too much during breakfast i don't recommend ordering it bc it's A LOT of food lol i couldn't finish. it's huge pieces of pork belly with eggs on top of cornbread cake and served with potato wedges!! tbh SOOO cheap for all that you get. normal eggs benedict elsewhere are about the same with so much less food. we also tried their specialty whipped coffee which was okay, i think i expected more since it's one of their most popular items but it's worth trying for sure. the restaurant is basically a house so it feels really cozy and is a super cute spot for a brunch date. i would feel overwhelmed bringing a big group of people here but they have a lot of outside seating too! overall such a great brunch place, definitely made it to one of my top favorites :)

This time, my husband and I decided to branch out and try the specials, and it absolutely paid off. I'd go that route again without hesitation. The whipped coffee was rich, creamy, and perfectly indulgent - exactly what you want when you're craving a treat. The sticky bun leaned a bit too sweet for my taste, but my husband (who loves anything sugary) was all in. That said, the texture was spot on. Service really stood out. Our server, Hannah, was friendly, attentive, and efficient - everything you hope for in a great dining experience. The space itself adds to the charm. It feels like you're dining in a converted old house: cozy, a little rustic, a little artsy, and refreshingly different from the usual restaurant setup. Easy 10/10.

Dirty Bird and the Beignets are a must order here. Even for those that don't love gravy I'd still get the dirty bird because the gravy is on the lighter side and very flavorful. This was the best meal I had in Georgia during my trip hands down. Enjoy!

My friend and I had heard great things about The Southern Porch, so we decided to give it a try for…read morebrunch this past Saturday. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded before we were even seated. When I walked into the restaurant, I was completely ignored by a young blonde employee named Claudia who was standing behind the counter in the waiting area. She looked directly at me and continued what she was doing without so much as a greeting or an acknowledgment. A simple, "Good morning, someone will be right with you," would have gone a long way. Since no one else was in the lobby and I noticed a clipboard on the counter, I politely asked if there was a waitlist. Claudia responded with an attitude that she "wasn't the hostess." I calmly asked where the hostess was, and she simply replied that she was clearing tables. There was no offer to help, no explanation of the process, and no attempt to assist me. She continued interacting with other staff members while I stood there feeling like an inconvenience. Thankfully, another employee who appeared to be a waiter noticed me. He immediately picked up the same clipboard that had been sitting on the counter, took my name and phone number with a cheerful attitude, and let me know it would be about a 15-minute wait. His professionalism completely contrasted with the poor customer service I had just experienced. Once seated, our waiter was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was also very good. I ordered the Chicken Sausage Scramble with hash browns, and it was delicious. My friend ordered the Catfish and Grits and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. The food and our waiter helped redeem the experience, but first impressions matter. Management should ensure that every employee understands that providing basic courtesy and hospitality is everyone's responsibility, not just the hostess's. Even if greeting guests or managing the waitlist wasn't Claudia's primary role, there was no excuse for being dismissive or rude to someone walking through your front door. Alpharetta has no shortage of excellent brunch spots with both great food and outstanding customer service. Sadly, because of the way I was treated before I was even seated, I won't be returning to The Southern Porch. I also won't feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. It's disappointing because the kitchen and our waiter did their jobs well, but one employee's attitude overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable brunch.
