This is probably one of the better spots in Toccoa to get a meal. The service is always on point. The organic margarita is my goto here, they fresh squeeze all the fruit right in front of you. The menu is huge! lots and lots of seafood options, even oysters. It may take you a few minutes just to get through the menu, but having been here probably 2 dozen times or more I have made my way through alot of the menu and have had very consistant food over the years. Beef burritos, enchiladas, and tacos were very good. Texas margarita, however was overly sweet, even after trying to quench the sweetness with five lime wedges and extra ice. Our waitress and the manager both said "No one's complained." Maybe that's why no one else in the restaurant had ordered one. Someone once told me Americans don't complain; they just don't come back. I'd come back for the food (4+), but the waitress vanished out of fear after our complaint and did not ask us how our food was (pretty big blunder in the food industry to not check back). But again, the food was more than adequate. Guacamole however was going brown and was almost returnable, but we decided to not complain on that front. I like table side guacamole the best where it's made fresh and is not premade hours/days before. Avo is very perishable. read more

Awesome Mexican food!!! My husband ordered mine wrong so I'm not going to comment on mine but..... I ate some of his!!!! This was very good... shredded beef, chimichanga, fresh, guacamole, refried beans..... it was all good! We ordered our food to go because we had the dog with us but the gentleman inside told us next time we came to let them know we had the dog and they could set us up on their patio. OMG?!?! Where am I??? Let's be real. I don't expect much out of a small town Mexican restaurant. I grew up in Houston so pretty much most Mexican restaurants in GA are a let down to me. My family and I attended a wedding here in Toccoa, and headed here after for dinner and drinks. I'm not going to lie, service was slow at the beginning. However, once we ordered it was no problem. The servers also refilled water and chips and salsa without asking. Number one: cheap drinks! A pitcher of Texas Margarita was $19.50 & was about 8 drinks....a large beer (32 oz) was $6 or $6.75 depending on beer. Holy cow! In Alpharetta we would pay $45 for half of that pitcher or $6 or a bud light can! Next, the food. My chicken dish was unbelievably tasty! Like--next time I'm in town I want to come back here for that dish. My family also ordered oysters that they loved! (Again...here?!?!) My husband also loved his trio of tacos. Very specific about no meat/ carne in the rellenos. Two attempts & I still get meat. Gave up & ordered dessert. Vanilla ( yummy) ice cream. Nice new waiter, Daniel, did his best. This restaurant was a big hit with our family today and a perfect stop after seeing the falls. When we walked in we loved the ambiance and smells of authentic Mexican food. The menu was extensive and I honestly had a hard time ordering. The chips and salsa were really good. We went through two bowls really quickly. Off the menu we ordered fajitas - mixed and vegetables. The kids quesadilla and enchilada. Both kids loved their meals. My husband ordered the steak nachos and they accidentally delivered chicken nachos but the waiter brought over the real thing moments later. My fajitas were good, I ordered the Fajitas Texana which had steak, chicken, and shrimp. I liked the shrimp the best. read more

I can't really rate the service because I have only dined in a handful of times; I usually call in my order and pick it up. The people who answer the phone are very friendly and efficient at taking orders, and the food is usually done rather quickly and ready when I get there. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten: Texas ACP, Texas fajitas, el burro de la roqueta, and tamales. The salsa is also the best in the area. It's actually spicy and not just cold tomato sauce like you find at a lot of Mexican restaurants in rural areas. The parking lot, unfortunately, is entirely too small to be safe. Many of the people of Toccoa love to drive ridiculously and unnecessarily large trucks that stick out into the VERY narrow aisles, and I always feel like I'm going to hit one. You have to be super careful maneuvering around; I'm sure there have been lots of side view mirrors knocked off here. read more

Ate here earlier this week. We got a little bit of everything to try it out, the oysters are super good and fresh, the seafood cocktail was delicious, and the seafood platter for two was alright. We ordered the platter so we could try our a little bit of everything, the fried fish & scallops was a little dry but the salsas they offered helped with the that. They had an excellent selection of salsas at their salsa bar, I recommend trying the mango one with shrimp. A very kid and family friendly atmosphere as well. read more

Normally this place was ok when I go, food is ok at best but I'll never come back again after tonight. I'm not being a Karen about this either, but what you're about to read, I wouldn't recommend anyone to have to ever deal with what I had to. Wouldn't wish it on anyone else. I ordered nachos, which is my main go to. Nothing more disgusting than taking a bite and pulling a long piece of hair out of your mouth with the rest of the food. The server said he can take it back but would still charge for the new plate. I said ok whatever I guess.. pretty petty to me but it is what it is. But the second plate had yet ANOTHER hair on it!! And they STILL charged me for it. I was pretty disgusted that not even the owner would say anything about it to help. They didn't care and just wanted money. I am the person to ALWAYS leave a tip, but I didn't this time. To me, that's bad health standards and overall just careless behavior. No one had words and just talked their way around the situation like it didn't matter. I don't wish this on anyone, people will still go to this location, but be weary of this. Hopefully if the owner does read this that maybe he will care about the customers and take care of them from this point on. Otherwise, he is a very sorry excuse of a business owner and should have the health department called on them if no one in there even bothers to wear hair nets. Again, I'll never be back. This place has the best food in town. We have 3 Mexican restaurants but this one by far has the best service and food. Friendly staff. Salsa bar that has really great peach salsa. Favorites are fish tacos, the black beans are flavorful, the soup is hot and filling. Everything is fresh and the restaurant is clean. There is not a dish I have had here that I did not like. We don't have a lot here in Toccoa. But this place is a great place to be if you want a great meal with great service in a friendly clean environment. read more
