It's a shame we didn't have any pictures to share with you, as it's our go-to place to take our guests when they've arrived and are hungry, or when we're hungry! Like many folks in their very favorite place, we don't even bother to look at the menus anymore, as we know which one our favorite is. Service is prompt, friendly, and immediate; it's absolutely stunning to me, given the time that it usually takes to get a meal almost anywhere else, that you're served at fast food speeds and home cooking goodness. No reservations, it's show up, wait for an empty table, and set yourself down before they've even cleared it. Which will happen almost immediately, and immediately afterward your server will show up and ask what you'd like to drink while you look at your menus. In the very short time your meal takes to be prepared, your server will bring back your drinks, straws, and a pile of extra napkins, as this is definitely finger licking good food! About the only complaint we have is that it's not open every day, giving their hard-working staff time to recover from the rapid pace of people flowing through the inside and standing in line for takeouts. Our first time there loved the atmosphere and selection on the menu. i had the double hamburger, fries and coleslaw and my wife had the BBQ sandwich, fries and stew. my fries weren't hot so i asked the waitress if i could have hot fries, when she came back she dumped them on my plate and then took her bare hand and grabbed the cold fries and took them off my plate. that evening i got so sick throwing up and diarrhea all night, my wife only experienced a little sickness. the only thing that we both had was the fries and she had one bite of the coleslaw. read more

It's my understanding built in 1961 as a "Drive in" with the canopy, bell hops burgers and shakes. Don't let the outdoor restrooms decide if you eat there or not as I like the nostalgia because they need all the parking they can get. Well now to the reason I posted. Bells is a long-standing statement in Toccoa Georgia. It is your friendly neighborhood old timer new timer whatever timer and the food is excellent. Service is excellent. It's really a great place proud they've been a part of the core for years and years and years. One of my hometown favorites so I had to stop in while I was visiting my mom! We picked a booth when we walked in because it's a self seating restaurant. Brenda greeted us with a smile and brought us some really good sweet tea! She came around and checked on us every couple minutes to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I ended up ordering the chicken livers, okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. They gave me plenty to get full and take some to go! Bell's is simply your small hometown American Diner and you could say as far as Small American Hometown Diner's go, it's a 5 star for that. A seat yourself but fantastic southern hospitality and food experience after that, it's completely unassuming hole in the wall diner outside well makes up for the food options and service inside. I can't even tell you everything I've had here, I've been here at least a dozen times and had everything ranging from the fried chicken, fish dinner, sandwiches, and bbq chicken. I don't think there's really anything on the menu you can go wrong with, everything comes out well assembled, piping hot and tasty. Don't let the old building fool you. It's the best hole-in-the-wall around! The sirloin tips, served with grilled peppers & onions, were cooked to perfection. The fried chicken was out of this world! They have posted a special menu entitled COVID-19. Ordered (2) Chicken dinners for $13.00 with mashed potatoes white pepper sauce gravey and cole slaw. Brought it home and it was so delicious.
