    Beautiful day to be outside

Located in the historic downtown Kennesaw a wonderful restaurant with exceptionally good service. Our waitress was a very sweet and hard-working person that made our experience far above average. Great prices and great food. I had the fish tacos, which ended up being more like black bean tacos, but everything else was extra extraordinary. Haha the tacos were too. Toccoa Georgia

Now open at 7:00am /11:00am Mon-Sat for breakfast. Best breakfast in town. Beats our other favorite places. Still serving lunch 11:00am-3:00pm. Y'all are missing a great breakfast. Best food and atmosphere h

Pulled pork plate with fried okra and Ceasars salad

Stopped here with a bigger group after visiting Currahee Mountain. With few options in the area, we opted for the xfactor. I was a bit skeptical based on some reviews but the atmosphere and wait staff was very nice so my hopes improved. The good. I got a "pulled pork plate" with a Ceasars side salad for $10. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the waitress was very nice. The Ceasars salad was pretty good. The bad. The food left a LOT to be desired. The pulled pork looked like it came from a can, all the sides were very basic. I asked others in the group what they thought and the consensus was the same. Nothing special. Most said 2-3 stars. Based on atmosphere and prices alone it would be 4 stars, but the food was disappointing all around so overall I give it 3 stars.

    Cuban and fried okra

The service was very slow. We were served our drinks quickly but then it was a solid 15 before our order was taken. I had the Cuban and it wasn't even warm. The cheese was not at all melted, the pork was cut in cubes and there was very little. Overall a poor experience. My pickle spear looked like some little kid had already been gnawing on it.

We went to the X-Factor after a visit around Toccoa for the museum and some in our group did a hike. It had pretty classic diner/cafe vibes and I think the best word to describe the whole experience is 'average'. We had a somewhat large group, 8 people plus a baby, and the seating was a little confusing (this was lunch during the week in the holiday season), but we seated ourselves and it took the servers a while to bring us menus. I had the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was good, but nothing to write home about. I think others in the group had similar opinions, nothing was awful but it was just another lunch. The staff was also not as friendly as I expected (a different experience from other reviewers, I guess), but if I'm ever back in Toccoa I'll probably give another restaurant a try.

Good food, absolutely superb fried pickles. The chicken tenders with fries/okra was great along with the Turkey panini with potato salad. However, they were playing on the TV news about AI technology and it really scared me. I don't want to leave. Would recommend to bring your hunger but not your fears of world domination.

I don't know what the hell this is but it is terrifying.

Oh my Lord!!! Not only did we avoid Atlanta traffic by scooting off the interstate, we found this restaurant (and antique store). Ok, we ALWAYS say, let's explore someplace new on our way home for out of town, we'll this time hubby fell asleep and I took the road less well, never, traveled. Luckily, X-factor (which I hate to admit I originally thought was going to be one of those "gentleman's steakhouse" places) is a fantabulous, local, diner that had wonderful (and fully-clothed) staff. Hubby had the Rueben with fries and I had the Hawaiian panini (ham, provolone, mustard on grilled Hawaiian bread) with fried pickles. Absolutely delicious! Definitely a must try and then wander around the 3 levels of the antique store. We didn't get dessert but I would drive the 2 hours just to go back and wander around town.

Patty Melt and fried green tomatoes

Are lunch at this place located in a historic building in Toccoa GA. Patty melt and fried green tomatoes were excellent. Service was great.

Fish tacos ... good but need to be kicked up a notch on the spice factor

The food is fabulous and antiques are next door if you want to shop a bit while waiting. It's one of the few places open in downtown Toccoa.

Service was (shy of one saving grace) meh and food was just meh. The menu had several items listed that really could bring this place up a notch. Hubby ordered the duck Cuban which was really good. I had the chicken quesadillas, nothing to write home about. My girlfriend got the Philly and said it was good. I love the brand of chips they serve and especially the jalapeño queso chips. They were out of wings. This is a miss considering how this was one of if not the last weekends of the season to see the leaves change colors, it's going to be busy and wings aren't hard to stock nor do they go to waste at a restaurant/bar. They should've been prepared. The setup is you order at the bar, take your drink and a number to your table and they bring your food. Cool. They bring our food out and my gf asks for napkins and they tell her she's gotta go back up to the deck to get them. Huh? Why didn't they just bring them with the food? We have fresh food in front of us and now have to leave that food to get napkins? Here comes saving grace because as soon as that server made it back to the deck, a different server comes out to our table with a caddy of napkins. She was really cool, and much appreciated! They have a target audience (people coming and going to and from the park) so I guess they don't have to deliver stellar food and service but to miss on both is disappointing. People are making memories with their families. And it wouldn't take much to tighten up and deliver amazing food and amazing service instead of just being convenient. I chose the place for our party of 8 and I felt bad. Thankfully I think everyone was too tired and cold to complain.

It made our time relaxing and gave us time to bond while playing as a family--the kids also played while we enjoyed a beer. Brilliant. The wings are smoked by hand and were a highlight. We also enjoyed the nachos and the power bowl (the chickpeas seemed roasted on site as well). We left with full bellies and happy memories.

Tonight was our final attempt at giving Pings another chance, and unfortunately it was even worse than the last time. We called more than 24 hours in advance to let them know we'd be bringing a large party. During that phone call they were so appreciative, would be sure to let the staff know, and would be sure to have a table set up for us outside. Once we arrived today, that completely changed and were told "it doesn't matter what you were told" and were completely dismissed by the manager. The manger actually said, you can wait, or leave. We decided to wait, even though we were already treated horribly just trying to check in. After waiting over 30 minutes to be seated, we were then told they didn't care that we were a party of 12 -- we were not allowed to move the outside tables together so we could sit as a group. This was after our previous visit, where we waited over an hour just to be seated, and then another hour for mediocre food. We genuinely hoped things would improve after they reopened, but the service and food are somehow worse than before. Save your time and your money. There are too many great local restaurants that actually value their customers.
