I've got one visit under my belt, but I can say for sure this is easy a four star. The combination fajitas I had were cooked perfectly, and were reasonable (feeds two for 18$? sold!) I like it when a Mexican place loads up on the fixins for the fajitas as well, and here they gave us each a plate with the lettuce, sour cream, salsa, and beans. I like their salsa, not too tomato-ey and at the right spicey-ness. Service is very attentive and upbeat. I will be back here! read more

The food wasn't bad at all but what made the experience not so great was the attitude. Whenever we asked for anything it seemed to be an issue which shouldn't happen in a restaurant. It's a shame because the food was pretty good but unless they treat paying customers kinder I wouldn't recommend. Hopefully it's improved in the future. read more

Our family has enjoyed great meals we picked up from the restaurant. The staff was very kind and friendly. I spoke to a few different servers and they gave me great recommendations for things around Toccoa to explore. The food is great. Fantastic hole in the wall restaurant serving up authentic Tex Mex cuisine. Stumbled upon this gem passing through Toccoa with some friends and we were not disappointed! I got Arroz con Correra which was zucchini, squash, shrimp and Mexican rice. Little oily, but still super delicious and fresh. We had the whole place to ourselves and loved the ambience of the restaurant-- super clean and open! Really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely return. read more

As ok as I remember. Chips 4, salsa 3. Got the $6.69 Huevos Rancheros. Beans were a blenderiszed paste of nothingness flavor with cheese atop. Nothing wrong with the them, palatable, but not yum. Spanish tomato rice was rice. Someone might like the rice but wasn't my cup of tea. Eggs over fried, but I prefer that to undercooked. Everything was hot though, including the plate. They were good with the temperature. Sitting at different tables, Dad confirmed what I had already suspected. Prefer corn tortillas to flour, but I could've asked. No big deal there, personal taste. But the tortillas were hot and done well. Very good service. We left $3 and $2 tip, I left the latter. read more

Ordered a mango margarita & it was terrible. Asked for a Strawberry & although not much better I didn't want to make more of a fuss. Bill came & they didn't take the first one off. It was not drinkable. This restaurant wanted to charge me for both. The manager was rude, the server told him I ordered two and he blamed me for not liking it. So I advised the manager you don't run a restaurant like that. I just fed 7 people and spent quite a bit of money there. He didn't care. He ended up taking it off but he was mad. So now I will never go back, nor will the 7 other people. Plus the server received no tip. I said, I hope the $10.95 and his rudeness was worth it. You just lost future business and a bad review. Their food is very tasty except for their fajitas, which seem too bland. Their cheese dip is the best that I've ever had--not runny and they add very tiny bits of jalapeño. One of my favorite entrees from there is the pollo Hawaiiano--chicken breast with queso cheese, pineapple, sautéed onions and mushrooms with a side of rice. read more

For my Mexican restaurant experiences, this restaurant isn't really my favorite by a long shot. The food was not amazing and I felt like I always had to get my waiters' attention somehow when I was here with my friend for a quick lunch. I wanted to stop by because they had tennis on TV and I had a cold so I imagined curing myself with good food. Perhaps my hypothesis would've been correct if it were food I liked; I did not want to finish my plate of food here because it didn't sit well with me. I had grilled chicken nachos with onions and peppers. It was presented well, but it did not taste amazing. The chicken was dry and that really killed my drive to eat lunch. I left my plate half eaten and it wasn't just me, my friend also had the same problem where his chicken was dry as well. I hate to complain, but I've had better chicken nachos from many other mexican restaurants. I didn't even want it to go, honestly. Dry food is such a buzz-kill. We also weren't assigned a certain waiter; we had multiple waiters. I'd finish my coca-cola and wait a while for my refill. I had to put my coke up front for the staff to notice I was on E. I had no idea who was who. Overall, the experience felt lame and the food wasn't in my expectations of Mexican food. read more

The food was decent and the margarita I ordered was genuinely delicious, but I ate here on Saturday and NONE of their staff had on masks? I didn't think that was legal during a pandemic when you are handling someone's food. I get that hardly anyone in Toccoa wears a mask but I thought businesses had to require their employees to wear masks, especially if they're bringing someone their food. We tried their steak sandwich. Each half was more fat than meat. We made a comment, and the server said "is there anything that I can do" instead of bringing pieces of meat. They needed to use Vidalia onions instead of regular ones because it left a taste in our mouths. The french fries were good as well as the tea. Came in with our family for a surprise dinner for my sister and brother in law while in Toccoa. My sister said the margaritas were delicious! I was disappointed that their version of Steak Ranchero was more of just fajitas with bell peppers and onions. The sweet tea was the freshest I've had in a while (being from Texas, this is very important!). Another issue was the server kept asking my daughter if she wanted liquor every time he refilled our drinks (sweet tea).. I suppose it would have been funny had it been one or two times, but every time? Plus, it wasn't funny to me since my daughter isn't even 21 yet.. Fast service with good, if not exceptional, mexican food. A big draw for teens is that the prices are very reasonable.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I brought my 95 year old aunt here to celebrate her birthday. She was excited about getting out of her assisted living facility and I wanted so much to show her a good time. We ordered quesadillas and they were ok. The problem came when I secretly asked the waiter to bring her out a piece of cake or something for her birthday. I explained to him that she was 95. Little did I know that they could care less about her age. They brought an ice cream out covered in cool whip and smacked it in my 95 year old aunt's face. She was totally in shock and it went all over her, down her blouse and all over her linen jacket (down the sleeves and lapel). She tried to take it lightly, but was very embarrassed and worried about her jacket. Then I asked for a cloth to clean her up and they brought two napkins, which will not clean a linen jacket with cool whip all over it. I had to asked for a wet towel and this still did not work. I have seen Mexican Rest. do this before but they should always asked and have more sense than to do this to a 95 year old lady. It could have made her have a heart attack or some other medical condition. Afterwards I complained to the manager and he said he was sorry and that never should have happened. He said he would take a percentage off the bill. I told him I wanted my aunts meal completely free. She had cheese dip, tea and a quesadilla. Actually the entire meal should have been free since they ruined my aunts birthday. When I got to the car I noticed all he did was take the quesadilla off. I think they should have to pay for her dry cleaning bill and given her a free meal. These practice should never happen without asking the person first and you should never hit an elderly person in the face with anything!!!! I will never eat here again and I will tell all my friends and family about this experience . I do believe that I will take the dry cleaning bill by there and see what they say.
