Chicago's Pizza has been a favorite for a few years. The pizzas are excellent, but my favorite is the chicken parmigiana. It always hits the spot with a generous portion. The dining area is clean and I love the design. The staff is always quick, efficient, and friendly. When you want something more than just a delivery pizza or something from the frozen section you can't go wrong with Chicago's Pizza. Stopped in last week for some dinner to go. Even during the middle of the week, they can get busy. Spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and cheesy bread were all great. Definitely get the deep dish, however the pizza crust can be a little dry. It needs some finishing garlic butter at the end. Negatives - salad tasted old and is kind of plain. But can partially be excused as a throw away. I know a large styrofoam container should go at the bottom of the plastic bag, but then don't set heavy spaghetti and meatballs on top of the cheesy bread. Also negative was the attitude. I know you're busy, but then don't allow orders to be taken in the bar. Not a customer in there, but it seemed I bothered them to place my order. And then I waited 30 min for my order and didn't offer any water, even though I waited at the bar after ordering. Treat every customer like a secret shopper. read more

While this is a decent pizza, it is not a Chicago deep dish. More of a pan pizza using Chicago style of layering. So if you traveled a bit to try this based on the menu saying Chicago deep dish, save yourself the time. If you just want a decent pan pizza, by all means give them a try. read more

We're staying a few days in Clarkesville and decided to give Chicago's Pizza a try. We arrived right behind three other parties so we waited about 5mins before one of the owners sat us at our table. We sat at a comfortable booth towards the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and the dining room was busy, and it was only a Tuesday. There were two couples sitting on either side of our booth but the high dividing walls between each booth was great - we couldn't hear other conversations and didn't need to talk loud to hear each other. My husband and I split a pizza, planning to take half back to the hotel for leftovers. We requested a BBQ Chicken pizza, after seeing it as a calzone option. The pizza was delicious and we look forward to returning the next time we stay in the area. Our server, Elias, was helpful taking our order and was attentive throughout our visit. We most always call our order in. We most usually get a supreme pizza. We do replace some ingredients with others, which is never a problem for them. Their pizza is delicious. The crust is fresh and really good. The vegetables are fresh. The place is clean and there are always lots of customers there. We love their food. They are really nice people. read more

I ordered for pickup during Tuesday dinner. No long wait on the phone. Order was ready in 30 mins as stated by person taking my order. Pick up orders are handled at the bar. Let's start with the pan pizza. Not my favorite pizza but it hit the spot for my sudden pizza craving. Have some dipping sauce ready because the pizza crust is dense. I dipped the outer crust in ranch dressing and it was a million times better. The rest of the meal was infinitely better. The tortellini pasta with pesto was yummy. Pasta was al dente and the sauce ratio was perfect. The pasta came with pillowy soft breadsticks and a side salad. The vegetables were nice and crisp and fresh. The chicken wings were very good and they are fairly sized. I hate when places serve teeny tiny chicken wings. We recently went with a party of 15. The staff really took good care of us. We had salads to pizza to subs and everything was delicious. We had an excellent waitress who never missed a beat. We frequent this establishment and are always happy with our experience. The thin crust is always crispy and the deep dish is excellent if you prefer that style. This was definitely a 1st-- Chicago pizza has historically been a favorite-- but this time changed everything-- a friend Slipped on the tile floor trying to get out of her seat And sort of slow motion went to the ground and bumped her head on the tile floor-- After she felt she could sit-up-- told her just to stay sitting up and I ran to the restroom because that's where I was headed before she fell -- in the restroom I also texted her housemate to let her know that her 84 year-old Housemate had slipped getting up from the table and hit her head On the floor -- as I was about to exit the bathroom still talking my text to the housemate so she would be aware that we were calling the doctor and getting ice for her head I was almost knocked down by a woman entering the bathroom -- I said We normally knock and she said you should unlock the door -- I did have the door locked I was merely trying to exit and almost ate the door myself with her force of entering---I went back to see how my friend was doing and she was feeling like she could stand up so a waitress and I helped her get to her ' and I was then verbally assaulted actually the whole group was by another woman from the table apparently that the woman who almost knocked me down in the bathroom came from And she began screaming about ice and how I was an old woman and just hollering in the restaurant -- totally taken by surprise at such a verbal assault to the point where she was on top of me almost even my friend that had hit her head was telling the person to back off that she was totally wrong et cetera and this Latino woman would have no Part of it she continued to Verbally assault-- never seen anything like that before -- we just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible and get hold of my friend's doctor to make sure that we were doing everything he suggested --There was no ice brought there was no Name taking to make sure everybody was OK by Chicago pizza though the manager or someone that said they were the manager did approach us to ask if everything was OK or what was going on it was so surreal it was crazy---I took a picture during the verbal assault of the table as documentation and I was even hollered at about how I needed to get rid of the picture---I'm sorry as an American those are my rights I can take pictures unless the establishment says no photos are to be taken inside -- and that was not posted anywhere---We just figured that the table of Latinos must have worked there and Maybe that was why this was not treated like we thought it was because at 1st we thought we were going to call the police for our own protection-- while we were trying to literally just exit and make sure my friend was okay----Needless to say community shattered!!! This is a nice find for big pizza in a small town. Good deep dish pizza is hard to find in North Georgia. The menu also includes sandwiches, calzones, and thin-crust if deep dish isn't your jam. The decor is much like an upscale restaurant yet maintaining a casual atmosphere. This would be a good place for lunch or an evening out on a date or with friends. Went on a Friday evening for our first time. Seated immediately, and the hostess greeted us shortly later. Took and brought our drink orders quickly. Ordered the thin crust Meat Lovers pizza, which was excellent! But our hostess brought out wet plates with our pizza and had us dry them off ourselves before we could use them. Why would anyone want to put slices of hot, out of the oven Pizza on a wet plate? One of the plates even had a big chip in it. Maybe our hostess was new and didn't know better. She didn't ask us if we wanted a dessert and wasn't the quickest when it came to getting our check. The atmosphere was good, and the restaurant appeared to be clean. Definitely NOT a Chicago deep dish. You simply cannot toss sauce on top of a pan pizza and call it "Deep Dish". We complained about the pizza while we were there and the waitress told us this is a deep dish, basically get over it. I have had frozen pizza better than this. The crust was more like a bread than a pizza crust. No flavor and very dry. The pizza was very salty. The Cheese bread appetizer also left a lot to be desired. We had high hopes for this restaurant. When we first entered, we were impressed at the ambience of the restaurant. It was very attractive inside, and the gentleman who greeted us was very friendly. While we waited for a seat to open, we went to the bar. The young lady who waited on us there was very friendly and told us that we could settle the bar tab once we were seated. Once seated, it took about 15 minutes before we were greeted by a wait staff person. Ultimately the waitress was very nice but I think we had been overlooked. That's an innocent enough mistake. We did have to ask the Manager for assistance and they quickly fixed the problem. The menu states that a Chicago style pizza could take up to one hour to cook so we ordered an appetizer. The pizza came out approximately 25 to 30 minutes later and while it looked fantastic, being presented on a thick wooden base in a very deep, authentic appearing Chicago pan, it turned out that it was virtually all bread with less toppings on the pizza than you would get at Little Caesars. Additionally, a topping such as pepperoni was considered a "premium topping" which costs more than regular toppings. This really was surprising, especially because I really had a difficult time finding any pepperoni on the pizza. I think I tasted one or two bites where I could actually detect the pepperoni. I think they knew they had "dropped the ball" and "comped" our drinks, which included one glass of wine, and one Diet Coke. Again, we had high hopes for this restaurant because the staff was friendly and because it was a very attractive restaurant, but the food left us cratching our heads. After driving most of the day and setting up camp at the beautiful Tallulah Gorge State Park cooking really wasn't on the agenda. A quick search on Yelp showed there wasn't many dining options in the immediate area after 6:00 PM so I extended the search and found Chicago Pizza - for most the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning Chicago and Pizza in the same sentence is good ole Chicago Pizza Pie, well for me my first thought was I'm hoping they have thin crust pizza available. Arriving here a little after 7:00 PM after making the approximately 16 mile scenic drive, most of the drive is on Route 23 so with the hammer down you can make it here in less than 20 minutes and the pizza here is definitely worth the drive especially if you're craving pizza. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived but a few customers continued to come in after we were seated. Our server caught up with us as we were being lead to a nice comfortable booth to take our drink orders being the host carried the napkin wrapped silverware and menus when he greeted up at the front entrance. We started out with an order of mozzarella sticks and a wonderful marinara sauce they were a perfect starter and delicious. We decided to order a medium "Meat Lover's Thin Crust Pizza" minus the "American Bacon" I think since they also use Canadian Bacon they use the "American" prefix to differentiate between the two I like both just don't see the need to add more grease. The pizza arrived piping hot covered in cheese, all the ingredients were plentiful and of high quality and the crust was crispy and super thin nothing resembling a "pie". Our server was friendly and attentive and kept our drink glasses filled I wouldn't haven't wanted her to be any other way and the prices very reasonable. Excellent pizza no matter what kind I get. Before eating here I used to prefer NY style, but I think this place has beat any NY style pizza I've ever tried - even their thin crust is incredible. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating as well. Highly recommend this place even more so than any other pizza place in the Clarkesville/Demorest area. I've ordered pizza from multiple places in the actual city of Chicago and this even has all of those beat! Went for lunch & ordered a 12" Chicago style pizza. It is hand made to order. It took 40 minutes, but well worth the wait. We also go a side salad (easily enough to split for two). Staff was on the ball and very friendly. Will return next time we are up this way.! read more

We are visiting from out of town and found this place on Yelp. So glad we did! Our server was warm and friendly. He gave us a heads up that Chicago style would take about an hour so we took advantage of the freshly made appetizers: Buffalo style chicken dip served with warm pita bread and wings that were piping hot. Our pizza had a crispy crust and was packed with meats. The sauce was nice and sweet. We made room for tiramisu for dessert which was a sweet ending to a nice evening on our first night of vacation in the area. If we lived here we'd be regulars for sure! This is our favorite restaurant in Habersham county! The cheese lasagna is the best. The pizza is soooo good. I recently had the ravioli for the first time and it was delicious. We used to go or order from here every Friday night. But their prices have gone up quite a bit so we're down to once every couple of weeks. Also, it's usually hot in the restaurant.
