A proper omelet ( fluffy and yellow)!

A GREAT TEAM APPROACH TO SERVING CUSTOMERS! If you had asked me if I would ever eat at a Huddle House again, I would respond with a resounding NO!!!! I attempted to eat breakfast at a different location approximately 10 years ago and it was a big greasy mess and I never even thought about a return. Also, Huddle House restaurants are rarely seen in the area in which I live. Today as I traveled to northern Georgia, the only breakfast restaurant that would pop up in Yelp is Huddle House. We attempted to find a local, family owned option but there were no options in this small town. We were okay with trying this Huddle House because I had thoroughly read the positive reviews and felt fine with this choice. We walked in to a warm and casual environment. It reminded me of a Waffle House but more spacious and real cheese. I ordered the veggie omelet, while my husband ordered the western omelet. Here the omelets are proper omelets, light and fluffy. perfectly yellow, (no brown anywhere) presented with a your choice of grits or hash browns and toast. We chose the hash browns and were satisfied with both of our meals, (although my original browns were not as crispy as I like, they were quickly exchanged to my satisfaction). This was a breakfast that actually stayed with us for five hours. I love a substantial breakfast on the weekends because I am usually very busy running around and can't always stop to eat on schedule. Customer service was great today because the entire staff "showed up". The entire team attended to all customers, offering assistance, refills, and whatever was needed. This is a great way of meeting the needs of the customers because you don't have to wait for service and you don't have to try and "hunt down" your particular waiter or waitress. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this Huddle House for a great breakfast.

This was the ham and cheese omelet with onions. It was actually really tasty.

FWS is a great lunch spot and I am happy Yelp suggested it to me. The owner - operator fellow…read moreexplained the entire menu to us when he found this was our first time visiting. The menu is extensive and is made up of various baked goods designed in the UK, France, and Italy (and maybe more). Megan had a chicken salad sandwich that had bacon, some fruit, and was on focaccia. Megan enjoyed it a lot. I had some butternut squash soup and a steak pie. Both were mighty tasty. I had a good laugh when the owner said to be sure to use all the gravy. LOL you dont know me, I will take two gravies! We had a few baked goods to go including a pasty, croissant, and a bear claw. These were good but as with all freshly made baked goods you need to eat soon, don't let it linger! Oh yeah, looking at my photos the reason that we went to FWS in the first place was to pick up some baguettes to make banh mi sandwiches, and those were great.

Scones, Danish, cinnamon rolls, croissants... each deliciously crafted with talent and love. I dropped in the next morning and was greeted by the owner. His smile and friendly demeanor are a welcome treat. He told me about the selections, how to best enjoy them and which he suggested. I left with more than I planned, but it all looked so good, smelled so good and he was so passionate about his craft that I just wanted to try them all. The chocolate croissant is still my favorite, but the blueberry scone is a close second.

We were a party of 6 for the Thanksgiving dinner 2025. With new owners as of three or so months…read morepreviously, this was my LAST dining experience here. It was a buffet style meal. I expected turkey but they only served small thin slices of turkey breast (with giblet gravy - no traditional gravy available) and some kind of baked ham (mostly in chunky pieces) in a cabbage broth (a dish of sweet dark looking sauce available). The appetizer/salad/soup options: big bowl of mostly frissee lettuce w/ grape tomatoes, shaved carrots with a gross thick sauce of balsamic vinaigrette. There were trays of: baked root veggies, sweet potato pone, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The rolls were industrial like (white rolls out of a bag) not the homemade fresh baked breads I've had here before. There were bowls of Smoked CHOPPED salmon (why would anyone chop up smoked salmon?) and trout with a tzatziki sauce (not a dip) was not what one would expect. The best part of the whole meal was the butternut squash bisque. The dessert option that I chose was a small wedge of flour chocolate ganache torte. It was dry and the topping was very thin. There was fresh made whipped cream but the buffet table (overall) was not well maintained. The table service was subpar. We had plates sitting on our table for long periods of time and would have liked to have more visits by the waitress for more pours of coffee. The wine selection is not what it used to be. My Oregon Pinot Gris was served in a stumpy Chardonnay glass (ugh). For the price of this meal....we should have been treated right and fed a phenomenal holiday meal. My father and mother had experienced at least two Thanksgiving meals at Glen-Ella in recent years and raved about how good it was, which was why he shelled out the money to take me and invite friends to eat there this past Thanksgiving. The worst part was the response of the wife (Michelle) of the husband/wife owners who replied to my email whereby I described the above meal/service and the excuses I got, contradicting statements I made as if she was there and witnessed what me, my dad and our fellow diners experienced, giving excuses for such poor service and food selections. She did say the next time we return to let her know. We're not going to risk another poor and expensive experience. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. Update.....it doesn't surprise me that Michelle replied the way she did to my review. I can tell you that most people who are disappointed with food/service do NOT write reviews either on Yelp! or other review sites. But you, as a discerning buyer, can look at other reviews and see when things change for the better or worse. Buyer beware.
