Easily my favorite store in not just Worcester, but the entire state of Massachusetts. I love this store. I stop in every paycheck to pick up comics but its so difficult not to leave with more than that. As a comic book/movie/music/TV/sports/wrestling/toy/video game/soda nerd (did I miss anything?), this place is perfect for me. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgable. I love chatting with them and consider many of them to be my friends. Like the finest sitcoms, I cant think of a better group of people assembled together in one place. Always helpful and never annoyed with all my requests. Thanks guys! The warehouse aspect is also amazing. I always notice something that I've never noticed before. I love walking up and down the aisles trying to take everything in. Its nearly impossible and always exciting. I always remember something I forgot to look for after I leave because theres so much great stuff to look at. Its become a ritual for me to come here on my day off every week but if I could, I would come in every day. Simply put, the largest comic book store in New England; if you like comics (new or old), you MUST come here. However, this store also has things to offer us other geeks, too. The new RPG section is mostly 4th Edition D&D, but they have a treasure trove of used RPG books at good prices. CCG players can find a good selection of Magic cards, including some premium individual cards. There's a decent used video game selection, as well as DVDs (including anime), and sports memorabilia. Out of all gamer types, (hobby) board gamers may come up a bit short here; there's a decent variety, but the section feels small compared to the rest of the store (though a few vintage ones, mostly comic/TV/movie/video-game related, can often be found throughout the store). Finally, there are a lot of comic, otaku, and gamer-related geekery, like action figures, anime statues, plushes, t-shirts, posters, Japanese snacks, etc. Basically, a Mecca for comic book fans, but definitely enough stuff to keep gamers and others interested as well. read more

A true comic book store. Most of the store (its a large store too) is dedicated to comics from vintage to recent releases. (Including manga, graphic novels, and even local artists) Then of course there is the toys and collectables that litter the store everywhere. They have enough stock to rotate things in and out, so checking back is always different. Finally, they have a modest used video game, movies, and records sections. Expect the unexpected! This store is known to have a wide selection of comic books not only in Worcester but perhaps all of New England. You can find new and used comics at a very cheap and reasonable price. They are also known to have tons of "old school" video games and console such as Colleco, Atari, NES, SNES, Dreamcast, etc. at a very cheap price. If you're a video game fan like I am then this is the place where you can reminisce about games like NES Duck Tales, SNES Chrono Trigger, Pole Position for the Atari, etc. The store also sells other misc. items like Japanese blind boxes, Japanese toys, Trading card games like Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. This is one of my favorite stores to visit when I'm back in Worcester and a definite stop to find something you're not even looking for. read more

This is pretty much the standard I measure any other retro-game stores on, and for good reason. Great selection of games from Atari to PS3, including imports, obscurities, and accessories/clone systems. Prices are reasonable. Expect to pay more for rare stuff, but you're not going to get gouged. Prices on common/obscure games are pretty consistently good. If you're into comics, vinyl, sports memorabilia or old kitschy toys, this store can easily suck up an afternoon of browsing. Only been there once, but whenever I find myself in the area, I WILL return. The selection is beyond compare. It's not my local comic store, so I didn't pay much attention to their selection of new titles or what they offer as far as "subscriptions". What I do know: the store is huge, they have a nice selection of markdown graphic novels (some really good stuff in there), a great selection of back issues (looking for obscure Vertigo miniseries from the early 90's by then-unknown, now-stars, that have never been collected in trade? They probably have it! and a sizeable assortment of used DVD's and video games as well (though the prices of the DVD's didn't impress). Very disappointed. Hall of comics in Southborough, is neater and better organized than That's Entertainment (T.E.). Most importantly Hall of Comics seems to value their customers, and That's Entertainment clearly does not. I have been going to Thats Entertainment with my teenage son for a while now. There is one employee there who is typically fairly rude (a black beard) which can make the experience fairly unpleasant. The final straw was that, one eve we called and told this employee that we had been customers for several years and had spent many hundreds of dollars there. We stated that we were on the way there - after driving for 1/2 hour - to get a particular book, but we were approximately 4 minutes away and they closed in 3 minutes (we were possibly going to be 60 - 90 seconds late!). We asked if he would please bring this book to the register and we could pay the exact amount In cash and be in and out in moments. This individual stated that he would lock the door EXACTLY at 8pm and would not wait 60 seconds for us because he "did not want to pay the staff overtime" (!) I again explained our multi-year relationship with the store and reminded him (very nicely/politely), that we were talking about one extra minute (literally). I had assumed he must have misunderstood me the first time. Didn't matter, he said he would "not wait one extra second". Sure enough, when we arrived 60 seconds after closing time, the doors were locked. They were, of course still inside, but would not even look up at us through the glass door! The store is sorta bearable for a few minutes anyway. The biggest problem is that they don't care about their customers at all. If this is how they treat (previously) loyal customers, can't imagine how they treat others. Save your time and go to Hall of Comics instead. read more

Wow..this place is packed with so much .Aisles and aisles of comic books new and back issues , graphic novels, toys, transformers, sports cards , music records and cds. So nostalgic seeing merchandise from your childhood .Really a cool place to check out .Kids will love this place , my daughter sure did. read more

That's Entertainment is such a funny name for this store....The name makes me think of old timey dance and music shows from the 40's, maybe because there is a PBS documentary on that subject by the same name, but regardless That's Entertainment the store is a fun place to browse around in. The entry has display cases with vintage toys on display. I went on a sunday (just by chance) and got to see a Magic the Gathering tournament right before my very eyes! Aisles and aisles of comic books, action figures (including KISS!), vintage magazines, movie stills, board games, video games, dvds, posters, the list goes on and on. I got an Iron Maiden poster for $10! Also a vintage metal magazine from the 80's called Metal Rendezvous for $3, too cool! I almost bought a signed photo of Dallas era Larry Hagman, just because I could. In addition to the tax free weekend, That's Entertainment threw an extra 15% off everything in the store! Really cool place....huge comics collection, geeky/nerdy memorabilia (hell, I saw Star Trek DS9's Odo on a plate and in a good condition!), and lots of vintage games to take a look at. There are also vinyl records to check out, DVDs (anime included), old school board games, ...yes there's just a lot to look at! I spot some 8-track tapes existing too...who still uses that nowadays?! You could spend hours in there looking around for a while, and hemming and hawing on that item you want to buy. Of course you'll be hit by the funky odor from some items, but that's not an issue really. It's just how it is from things of old age! There's definitely a lot of things to look even for those who are not into the comic/sci-fi stuff. I recommend checking this place out! 5 stars also, sure, its the holiday season and whatnot. speaking of which...do you have a nerd in your family or are you a nerd? do you find yourself wondering where all the nerds hang out when the sun goes down? can you name the entire class of the justice league? well then my nerds, you can find what youre looking for right here at thats entertainment. now i sure as hell should have been paid in zelda belt buckles for that last paragraph, but im not a paid endorser. in fact, i dont think they are going around telling their clientele that they are in fact nerds, but lets call a cardflopper what they really are, shall we? its very overwhelming once you come in, but the staff is friendly, the inventory is vast and the smell wasnt as pungent as it was only a monday morning and not a friday night magic tournament, so keep both those fun facts near and dear to yourself and i think youll have a grand old time here. sorry to see worcester is about 30 years behind the curve, but thats a good thing as this could have been a dunkin donuts if it had been a boston. w00t! oh and #420!!!!!! read more

One of Worcester's many hidden gems. That's E is a phenomenal place to browse, whether you're looking for comic books, video games, works by local artists, memorabilia, etc. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They also maintain a Facebook page featuring frequent updates to their stock, as well as Q&As from patrons. Their used and discount graphic novel selection is a perfect place for fleshing out a comic collection, whether you're new to the genre or a devoted fan. The used stock is continually replenished and always holds a nice find. Their discount nights are a nice touch--Military Mondays and Ladies' Night (guys can come in drag) on Tuesday. The one downside is that they have a no food/drinks/bags policy within the store, but they have a place you can leave them by the register. It is definitely an understandable policy when you consider how many collectors' items they have out in the store. read more

The great part about this shop is that they buy used games, got rid of my PS2 games here and looking to unload my PS3 games soon. A great big comic book store compared to their Leominster location, take any selection of anything, multiply by 10, and that is the volume of this store. The staff is large and has a wide knowledge base, and they are always willing to answer your questions. That's E is hands-down my favorite place to visit in Worcester. Admittedly, I'm an old-school nerd, but I have been going there for over 20 years and have taken a variety of people there, and it seems like everyone who goes in there finds something they are interested in. Probably the best selection of retro-game platforms and games in the whole state. Great comics section, pretty much all currently issues from the big publishers as expected, but also a really great selection of Indy, small publisher, local artist, alternative, vintage, and out-of-print comics and comic art books. The RPG and games selection has declined in recent years, but this is probably more due to lack of demand. Still a pretty decent selection of older RPG books there, and a fair (but not fantastic) selection of table-top games. I'm not into sports memorabilia, but they appear to have a pretty good collection also. Then there is just the random stuff, everywhere. Overall this store has plenty of variety to offer many types of fans, from comics, toys, music, board games and much, much more. The outside is misleading, as the store itself is quite large and holds a multitude of stock. Although the amount of product is impressive, the organization and presentation is lacking. Unlike other comic stores I've visited, the gaming rooms are separate, which allows customers to browse while not disturbing ongoing events. One of the downfalls of this business is it's location on a busy street. The storefront facing the sidewalk is inviting, however, finding parking on a weekend is nearly impossible, as parking is limited to a small alleyway on the side of the store. The employees are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are all passionate about their respective fandoms and are very helpful in assisting customers. The whole store is like an organized warehouse full of comics, trading cards, action figures and so many other things I can't even think of right now. The staff are always friendly and helpful and you can find any thing here. If your looking for an out of print or rare comic they will most certainly have what your looking for. There's just too many cool things in there; movies, video games, alt-comics, collectibles, vinyl, etc. Your inner child will lay down and thrash on the floor, kick it legs and throw a tantrum if you try to leave without buying something. Wow! What a store! Whether it's new comics, back issues (into the 40s), or other pop culture collectables, this store cannot be beat. The manager and staff are knowledgeable, polite and most of all, helpful-they can't do enough for you. I travel a good deal around the country and have been in new comic shops and memorabilia stores but never one exactly like this-they have it all... I always come here first when I am looking for something out of the ordinary. So far I have been able to find most of things I am looking for. The staff are usually helpful and they have a huge selection of comic books, used role playing books, used DVD and Blu-ray. They also have a really good selection of table top games, the kind not made by milton bradly. While not too interested in comics, they Have a ton of used vintage consoles as well as modern-(ish) (Xbox 360, PS3). They also have a lot of used games that are organized alphabetically and are priced very well. read more
