Located next to Village Pizza, we stopped in because the nostalgic character drinking glasses in the window intrigued me. There was a great selection of comic books organized well. I ended up getting a Smurfette figurine while my husband chatted with the owner, I think. He graciously was giving my husband price estimates and guidelines even though my husband was thinking about selling his comics on Ebay. This guy really knew his stuff and had such a depth of comic history and information about various characters. He had also worked at the theater for 20 years, and my husband and him compared memories of the theater and we got to hear about secret, historical things in the theater as well. Really a great guy and making the store a wonderfully, helpful resource. It is guys like him that make small towns a special place to visit and the world a smaller, more friendly, warmer, better place. read more

This is in my humble opinion literally the best comic store I've ever been too, it's not the biggest and certainly doesn't have the most comics in the world, but man for a small store they still have anything you'd want and more. Xtian especially is a great owner, and gives great recommendations, and is so nice and sweet, and just a lovely person to talk to. You'd love to shop here I promise. read more

Wondering what I'm doing at the comic store again? You guessed it right! My dear hubby couldn't resist coming in here and leaving with at least one flash issue. I'm not a huge comics type of gal but my better half sure does love them! We were on a quick weekend getaway and, after hitting up the awesome bagel spot down the street, we came right in. Cool little local spot, not a franchise, they sell a lot of local work from the area. The girl in the counter was awesome and very helpful. She was very interactive and down to earth also showed us some sections where they have the dollar comics at. We found a little gem in there and also left with one of the older original Flash issues. The owner was very reasonable and willing to even negotiate on it. I know if we lived locally I would know where to find my halfsie at, definitely in here! If we're ever back in the area, for sure I know he'll be back. read more

This is my favorite comic store in Western MA. They have all the new titles you'd want, a great selection of trades and graphic novels, great used backstock, ALL the action figures, and they're knowledgeable, friendly, and just generally awesome folks. The kiddo and I love to go in here and check things out monthly. There is always something new. They also participate in free comic book day, and most recently in Batman Day. (With free stuff, and discounts in the store.) Things are well organized, and bright and nice. It may be in a "basement" space, but it's not at all basement like. Go! Get your geek on! read more

We've stopped in a few times to explore our 5 year old kids' newfound obsession with everything Wonder Woman and Supergirl. The owner was welcoming, kind and respectful to her, and took her interest seriously. They chatted about a bunch of different characters and storylines and he gave her a bunch of age-appropriate suggestions for things she might like. She loved the kids section that is so well curated, inclusive, and thoughtful! She begs to stop in every time we pass by, so we are going to be regulars! I highly recommend Comic N More, there's not a better place for beginners like us! We even picked up some dollar comics and action figurws for ourselves, who knows, maybe we are all Wonder Women! read more

A super wonderful store/shop doesn't begin to cut it in terms of an accurate description here. The owners and staff of Comics N' More are passionate and knowledgeable about comics, graphic novels (N/and more), but they're also just exceptional human beings who care deeply about their community, disability rep, queer rep, believe that Black Lives Matter (and are vocal and awesome supporters whose beliefs align with all that's good in the world) aaaaand they're currently running an initiative to get free N95 masks to kids and adults who need them. Rad store. Queer friendly. Sorta Indie/Punk aesthetic. They have all the "big two" books you want and most of the indie/small press books you should be reading instead. The owners are very knowledgeable of comic book history and they give great recommendations on what new series to try. Let me start by saying this is not Target, Stop and shop, or CVS. This is a Comicshop, so it should not be judged by the same criteria as a supermarket. I do not go to a comic shop to pick up my comics like groceries flow through the express checkout and move on to my next chore. I go for the pleasure of talking to interesting people from varied backgrounds. With that said other reviewers are correct the shop is strangely ordered. The reason for the lack of order is mostly that the owner spends more time with customers. I will take some of the blame for distracting him. I brought my kids into the store when they wanted to learn how to play Magic the gathering, and I had no clue where to begin, he sat with them explained the rules and played through several games. I guess this time could have been used to organize. This shop operates more like a club house where friends joke and talk about art and reading, than a perfectly functioning conveyer belt megastore. I visit this store every time I am in Massachusetts. While humble in appearance, it is a truly classic style American comic shop, and IMO, it is a staple in the Northampton community. The staff is cool and knowledgeable and 99% of anything the store owner doesn't know about comics and the comic book industry probably isn't worth knowing at all. read more

Proprietors Christian and Phoebe are wonderful, knowledgeable people who can help you with anything/everything pertaining to comics, games, and (as the name implies) more. The shop has a great feel to it, the upstairs is a slick little display room, and the downstairs will blow you away. They're always making improvements and additions. This place is the best comic store I have ever been into. Is it nice and tidy? No. Do they have everything organized in any kind of reasonable fashion? Not really. Have they ever vacuumed in there? Maybe once last year. Are there hobos living behind the dumpster? Could be. The great thing about this place is the people who go there. You know, comic book people. First off, Andy, the owner, knows his funny books. I've known him for years. He loves Daredevil and the New England Patriots. He is a sharp and funny dude. He will hurt you if you don't behave. Get to know him by listening to the weekly podcast COMICS N' MORE. Yes, there is a weekly podcast. How cool is that? (Available on iTunes). Every time I go in there to collect my stash- their subscription service is always accurate and expertly curated- there is bound to be some sort of banter about something. "I wanted Negan to friggin win!" "Does anyone remember how great NEXUS was?" "Afterlife with Archie is the best comic book this week. Did I just say that I like Archie comics?" " Bendis so SUCKS balls." You will probably see Lex there- an all around great guy who will make sure you get what you ordered. So go in and look at the amazing graphic novel collection and Magic cards stuff. Pick up the new hot Image book that the other store didn't carry. Or just wait until Christian or Keith or Matt or Pete or Chuck or Louis or any of the other brilliant comic geeks that go there (myself included) come in to spout hilarious wisdom and absolute bullshit to any and all takers.
