Best customer service of any store I have been in. Wide selection and the ability to order what they don't have. Highly recommend.

First off I'll say there are 2 different types of comic book stores. The ones that are so sterile,…read moreclean and organized that you know there are no deals to be had or hidden gems to be found. There at also the stores that are so packed and disorganized that you couldn't find something to get a deal on if you wanted to. Rubber Chicken Comics perfectly straddles the middle ground of those 2 examples. There are loads of boxes with .50 cent comics, $1.00 comics & $5 comics that are regularly refilled and always have people digging through them. They also have an amazing selection of gently used $5 graphic novels. Besides the boxes that all deserve time to dig though they have a clearly marked and organized section of new weekly comics, a wall of recent back issues for on going series and organized bins of older back issues. Somehow this shop also gets the best "wall books" in the area! From huge key books to rare variants, complete sets to signed books, original art sketch covers to golden age back issues. The wall is ever changing with assorted rarities at amazing prices. In addition to the comics they also have action figures (new and old), statues, vintage toys and games and other assorted collectibles. They offer weekly subscription pull list service and allow you to change on a monthly basis and give a 10-20-% discount based on the number of books on your pull list. They have bags, boards, boxes and other supplies as well. I can't recommend this shop enough there is always a great conversation or debate going on and everyone is welcome from the most seasoned collector to the newest comic fan. There is some thing for everyone here! No intimidating clerks or judgmental "Comicbook guys". Check them out!!

Probably the worst experience ive ever had in a comic shop. Shop was badly organized. Shop had…read morebelow satisfactory selection. None of the comics had prices on them. Had lots of $1 comic bins which is the only good thing about the store itself. Shop owner was arrogant and boastful. Not to mention that he was running a live stream in the middle of the room. That made it quite unpleasant. A family came in and he was quite condescending while telling them not to touch "valuable" comics. Not a nice guy.

I really love this place. Tons of comics, cards, collectibles, and magazines…read more This place really is a treasure hunt with a wide variety of books you will not find anywhere else! Their Friday and Saturday auctions, which seem to be a family affair for the owner, Issac, have become a staple of my wife and my evenings. Issac is a very friendly guy who treats his customers like he's known them for years. I haven't met his wife, but she mans the auction computer and also seems nice. A few things of note: 1. This store is definitely geared towards the older collector. Most of the books are at least a few years old. Kids are more than welcome, but you have to keep a close eye as a lot of the collectibles are in hands reach of little three year olds. 2. As I said, older books. They don't have subscriptions to distribute the new books yet. I know he's working on it though. 3. He literally just opened the store a few months ago. So his books aren't all that well organized yet. You'd do better to just ask if he has something. Personally, I don't mind this, but that's because my wife and I love the treasure hunt. All in all, great store that I've become a frequent patron of. Hopefully it'll be there for a good long time!

Ted VanLiew has been a true blessing for me. When death visited my family and I had to liquidate…read moresome stuff, I was lucky to find Ted and his shop. His honesty saved me a great deal of money. He is in my experience the true honest broker. He and his shop have treated me with dignity. If something wasn't to my expectation, without me having to go to bat, they fixed the problem and kept their end of the bargain. I would recommend these guys beyond all others in this business that I have met. Some great people at other shops, I have dealt with, and some thieves out there too, honestly. Ted VanLiew consistently gave me the most upfront and honest deal.

I asked about specific flaws beforehand. Two books in a row showed up with flaws. I complained…read more Here is their e-mail response: "Oh, brother, You're just too neurotic for us. We'll get you refunded for the #10, and after that, would appreciate no further contact. We've got plenty of customers who aren't constantly complaining, and we'll stick with them. Good luck annoying your next victim." The first book was refunded after I had to go through the trouble and cost of re-packing it and driving to the post office, but when the second book arrived with flaws I chose to keep it just to avoid the hassle of dealing with the return and will re-sell it below what it cost me because I am HONEST and will be stating exactly what's wrong it which is what superworld should have done in the first place which is what I had requested. Everyone I have mentioned this to says they cannot believe a business-owner would write an e-mail like above to a customer, and that complaints and criticisms are a normal part of customer service, especially when the business fails to perform in good faith. Also, it has come out that I am not the only one who superworld has been haphazardly selling flawed books to. Apparently you are just supposed to accept what they send or go through the hassle of returning books instead of them checking their so-called Near-Mint books to make sure they aren't actually only Good or Fine condition. They refused to check books before selling them to me even though a couple of minutes doing so could have prevented my aggravation and frustration of being sold books with flaws that I specifically asked about. Not recommended, bad dealer.
