The value of the products we not to much and not to cheap. The service was good they were really nice.

My husband dropped off his comic book collection looking to sell. We waited for weeks to hear anything. We finally heard back this week and they wanted to offer my husband $400. The portion of his collection numbered 1000 comics, some of them worth double (or even more) their offering price. I understand that they must offer less to make a profit, but an offer of $400 means they are either lazy or dishonest (maybe both). The woman my husband dealt with claims to be an owner. She was very unpleasant (which is her usual demeanor because he's dealt with her before) and was not gentle with handling the boxes of valuable comics when turning them back over. My advice: Go north to That's Entertainment in Worcester. They are pleasant, professional, and respect the comic book. read more

Nice friendly store crammed with comics, both new and back issues, as well as related figures, toys, and other collectibles. Definitely a great local shop to have for comic book fans! Even though I stopped collecting comics years ago, I have been visiting the store since its old location for their games. I think CCG players will have a great time, as there has always been quite a selection of Magic singles and packs. Other gamers, however, may feel it's hit or miss: there's half a bookcase's worth of RPGs, mostly 4th Ed D&D & 3rd Ed/d20, a handful of used video games, and while there's half a room stocked with (hobby & comic/TV-related) board games, the selection didn't quite seem to fill the room. Worth checking out, especially if you are a comic fan, play Magic, or were roped into antiquing and need an escape! read more

I went to this store to check out their miniatures. I had played war hammer 40k when I was younger and still had my collection saved at home. To my shock I found that they had some of my old miniatures. They said that they had been donated by a man, who "wouldn't accept payment" . We have had work done on our home and found that my collectibles had been stolen, and here they were, well some of them. I was able to prove that they were mine to the woman working at the time by showing her some remaining models. she promptly let me take what was left at the store and told me that she had the majority of my collection at her home with her husband, the other owner. They said they would collect them and return them. After not hearing back from them for some time we returned only to find that their story had changed and they said they did not have the collection. The bottom line is that this store took in my stolen goods, sold many of them, and lied about it. I would caution anyone in working with them. read more

Huge store with an amazing amount of comics and games! I loved all of the displays - so nicely done and set up in a way that promoted taking photos. In fact, several signs said please don't touch but please do take photos (I was bad and neither touched nor took photos - maybe next time). Very big space too so you can wander and get lost in the displays. My comic book loving partner saw several games that he wanted to try out but needed to research first. Prices were reasonable, even lower than around here on some of the figurines, and there's plenty of parking in the downtown. Definitely a must stop for gaming and comic fans! read more

The woman that works here is insanely rude. I have used the bathroom in this store before. My six year old son needed a restroom badly during our visit. She was a total jerk when we asked if my child could use the restroom. When I explained it was for a small child she continued to be dismissive and really rude. You've lost my business for life. Even if she had been kind it would have made a difference. We put our purchases down and I'll never go back. I don't know if she is someone you should have working with the public. We love to shop small and support Putnam businesses but she's a real deterrent to ever come back. Anyone that can see a child struggling to hold their urine and still is that rude shouldn't be working in a store that serves children. I'm not sure what kind of job she thinks she has but it's no way to treat people and I'll be sure to share my experience with other parents. Find somewhere else - not family friendly read more

So my review should maybe be taken with a grain of salt since I am a confessed nerd. But if you're shopping at Wonderland Comics, you probably are too. It's a small little spot but has a great selection of back issues, trade paperbacks, and collectibles. What they don't have, they'll get for you. There are a few things that set this comic shop apart from the rest, though. The staff is amazing. My first trip to the store, Troy set aside time to give me guidance since I was just starting to read comics. Each trip, he asks me if I liked what I read or the other staff members chat with me about storylines or just about ME. I feel close to them! The other thing that makes Wonderland Comics stand out is their SALES. When Troy has an event, he has an EVENT. Buy One Get One or 50% are the name of the game each time. Troy does a sale RIGHT. If you're in the area, stop into the shop. You'll love the experience. read more

I've been going to this place for a few months since the virus started. The experience wasn't ever pleasant but it was serviceable. I had to deal with them today because I wanted to sell some cards. After what was apparently a misunderstanding on the phone, I came in to sell cards. Before I could even speak, the man at the counter rudely declared that he had already told me that I could come in only on weekdays to sell cards. I spoke to him once on the phone and then before I could even open my mouth at the store, the man acted like a jackass. I'd avoid the place if you value your time, money, and sanity. I tried to mention it to their facebook page and I was told that I was wrong. Well they are run by fools and I'd be surprised if the place stays open another 3 years when there are so many other options in the area. Don't like how comics magically go up in price at the register after the owner looks it up on ebay. If I wanted ebay prices I would've shopped online. The owner isn't very nice and has poor customer service and people skills. it makes me uncomfortable to even think about this store. read more

I accidentally ended up with a gift certificate to Wonderland, and found myself trying to redeem it right when the world shutdown for Covid prevention. I say "accidentally" because the gift card was ordered over the web for my daughter, but we live over 350 miles away! Similar name, wrong shop! I contacted the owner and he worked with me and kept me informed through the shutdown. My package arrived today and I couldn't be happier. He knows I'm probably not going to be a regular customer due to the distance, but he still gave me top notch service. This is why you should support your local businesses, even if they are far away! A young woman who works at the store was very aggressive when I said I didn't need any help and accused me of "Not being nice" when I said I didnt need any help and was simply reserved and did nothing abnormal and just was looking around. In fact, I was a bit shocked, because store etiquette is almost always when someone says they don't need any help, to leave that person alone. She had zero reason to suspect me of anything, nor did I do a single thing abnormally. I just looked at the books, and did nothing whatsoever but mind my own business as normal. I even apologized when I don't think at all I should've had to, and she didn't seem to really accept. She claimed I was speaking in a "not nice way," but I was simply reserved, quiet and had many usual things on my mind, but had not a single abnormal or negative or any other word come out of me. I barely even said anything else than No I don't need any help, I just was surprised as usually when you say you don't need help, they leave you alone. I did absolutely nothing abnormal. I feel there was another reason I was targeted, perhaps appearance, or something strange, maybe she was projecting some emotion on me, I do not know. I had bought books about 30 dollars too recently, and told her that. It is fine if she didn't approve of me, though I feel I did nothing wrong whatsoever, and shouldn't have apologized, but considered it my duty, and explained that Im simply a reserved and quiet, private gentleman, but not intending to seem cold (in what little speech I even gave.) Which was NOT enough to judge me on by the way, nor did I do anything else abnormal. I simply looked around, and having an art interest liked doing so once and a while, of their cool selection. Every other store etiquette is for help when saying No I don't need any help, to say OK, be relaxed and leave you alone. I felt I was being accussed, attacked and I did and said zero abnormal in the whole time I was there. I would sometimes go and look at the interesting books and I even bought recently. Im 100% finished eternally after that. I did nothing whatsoever to elicit this response. ---Will never return and they've lost a costumer eternally. 1st time experiencing wonderland on 1/16/17. What a incredible shop. You come across most shops that have been cherry picked of their treasures. However, that's not the case in wonderland. This place is the kind of comic book store I grew up with. It was soooo refreshing. I went crazy over the amount of back issues that they had....but here's the incredible part. Because my back issues were over $50.00 they were 50% off. They have a pricing bracket that grants you a % off based on the amount of your total. Super friendly staff. My favorite comic books shop in CT! It's a little small but they have everything! Comics, tpb, hardbacks, vintage video games, board games, action figures. Everything!! Terrible place to buy orders from. I gave them a list of back issues I was looking for. Four days later they still hadn't looked. When they sent out the order it went to the wrong address after I had sent them my updated address and they sent back a thumbs up symbol over Facebook instant messenger implying that they were taking this into account. When I saw it had gone to the wrong address I pointed out how the PM message took into account the correct address I sent them. They started making up excuses such as more that one person checks their PMs. So? As an employee it was their job to pass on this information to the shipper and their job to let me know it was going to the wrong address BEFORE it arrived. When I pointed this out to their customer service rep, they started getting very rude. They sarcastically said, "Yes, we should have spent even more time on your $3.50 order." and other rude things. Then they blocked me on messenger before I could reply. Wonderland Comics? More like Blunderland Comics! read more

My father and I walked in, and immediately knew this place was full of shit. You aren't allowed to pick up comics or even flip through them to look at the art to see if it's worth collecting. The lady who was working there was a total bitch, yelling at us for even touching the comics to see if there was something we want. You're better off leaving this dump and finding a better store even if it means driving a little bit farther. read more
