It seems they offer a great sense of community and engagement with their regular clientele; it's always nice to see such a well loved shop. Every time I'm in, it seems like there's something new (products, events, etc). The staff are familiar; they used to run the other comic/game/collectible shop in town, before it started going down hill I'd assume. When I've asked for something they don't have, they've always ordered it for me or referred me to someone else who DOES have it - these guys aren't looking for sales; they're looking for happy customers. I hope to see the store continue to grow; I don't play table top games but I love graphic novels, comics, and all things nerdy, and they've made forays into just about every realm of geekdom. The owner is extremely knowledgeable. I had a bunch of questions the last time I visited, and he was very patient with me. He answered all my questions. They also have a bunch of card games and board games. In the past, I stopped in and there were a bunch of folks in a side room playing an online video game. Unfortunately, COVID had a bit of an impact on that business. It sounded like they are trying to work out a new contract to get that going again.

I went to Worcester Wares to order some custom shirts for my small business. I paid the full price up front (mistake on my part) and patiently waited for the project to progress. I promptly sent in all of the graphics needed to make the various shirts I had ordered. Months into the project I was informed the the owner was dealing with some personal matters, which I was understanding and patient about. She did deliver some of the products I had ordered, and indicated that she was working on the remaining products. Some of the shirts had a defect, which she said she would rectify. The hoodies that I ordered were supposed to feature a large logo on they back, which the ones she delivered did not. After that visit, it was radio silence. I sent several emails and messages inquiring about timeframe for delivering the remaining items, but did not get any response from her, or from anyone at Worcester Wares. I began this process in early December 2025, and paid for my items in full at our initial meeting. It is now May the following year, and I have not hard anything from the owner since February when she dropped off a few of the items I had ordered, despite several emails and phone calls. Unfortunately I would not recommend Worcester Wares to another business. I am now out several hundred dollars and have only a small handful of the shirts that I ordered, some of which were not made as ordered. Very disappointing.

They support local authors and even from time to time musicians. I have performed here a couple of times and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional. Their great event room is a multi-purpose section of the store with a seating capacity of maybe 45-50, give or take. Keep your eyes open for events here! Also has a great selection of gifts. :) The food at the cafe was delicious too!

Even though I moved from the Waltham area, I've kept my comic book subscription at the Outer Limits…read morebecause the owner is the best! It's always been super-easy to update my subscription and I love discovering all the pop culture gems when I visit: used records, CDs, DVDs, Disneyana, games, toys, and of course comic books! All at reasonable prices. I love the bins of action figures; you never know who you'll find! Free handicapped parking can be found in the metered lot behind the shop on Chestnut Street. There are also several handicapped spots on Moody Street. Shop is handicapped accessible, though it is a pinch cramped in the back. I've been able to maneuver with a rollator and cane. If you need help navigating or reaching anything, the owner is happy to help.
