The place is decent but nothing exceptional. First, there was a 45 min wait for outdoor table- ok, we get it, second, the main dish arrived after 1 hour we were seated. Lobster crostini was good but broiled seafood trio which took them an hour to cook was just ok, even a bit disappointing. It was one of the only places open after 8pm on Monday so we decided to try it. When we arrived there were a lot of people outside waiting to be fitted. We opted to sit inside, just so we don't have to wait any longer. The lobster crostini's were good. The lobster roll is not as big like in other places. Also it is served cold and we prefer it hot. The stuffed haddock was good. Not great. Small portion and the green beans served with it were way over cooked. Overall it's just ok place. Went here for a date night last week to kick off a long holiday weekend. There is a large parking lot right across the street but unfortunately it's not private parking for the restaurant so we had to pay $10 to park. It felt unfortunate but we resigned ourselves to the fact that it's a tourist destination and there just isn't a lot of parking for businesses. They had both outdoor and indoor seating options which is always really appealing when a restaurant is located in a quaint neighborhood like this one is. I would have preferred to sit outside because the weather was beautiful but it was getting late so it was more important to my fiancé and I to sit down and start eating than to wait for an outside table. Our waiter came to our table quickly but he wasn't terribly friendly. When I asked him if they had any specials he replied with a brusque "they're all gone." No apology, no suggestion of anything else on the menu... nothing. He was polite but didn't offer any friendly chit chat or even a smile. We started with the lobster crostini which was really delicious but there were only 3 small pieces with not a lot of lobster on them. At $15 it feels a bit overpriced. My fiancé ordered their fish sandwich which he enjoyed. The fish was really crispy and he especially liked the addition of the pickled onions on it to give it a twist. The fries it came with were very good. In fact, I kept stealing them off his plate. I ordered the Creamy Pesto & Shrimp pasta. It was not lying when it said "creamy". There was a lot of sauce, it was covered in large shavings of Parmesan and it was really heavy. Thankfully it was served with some toasted pieces of bread because it really needed the additional texture. The flavor overall was good and not too heavy on basil but I left about 1/2 the pasta on my plate because once there was no more shrimp or bread to break up the heavy taste it started to become unappealing. We both got an alcoholic punch drink that we enjoyed. You could taste the alcohol in it without it being overpowering. One major thing we didn't like was just how loud it was in the restaurant. There are no rugs or table cloths or anything to absorb sound so it's just a cacophony of noise. It was nearly impossible to hold a conversation. To make it even worse right before we left we had a table of 4 people who looked like they were in their early 20's seated next to us and they were incredibly boisterous so we gave up on even trying to have a conversation. I almost felt like I would need to text my fiancé to ask him if he was ready to leave but instead I was able to mime him leaving gestures when it was time to go. I wish I was able to give this establishment 3.5 stars but alas, half stars are not allowed so I feel like 3 is more appropriate than 4. The lack of parking, the noise, the less than friendly waiter and the good but not special food bordering on pricey food just made it just an average establishment for us. read more

This was the first restaurant we tried after settling into our hotel. We ordered the Lobster Crostini for an appetizer, I got the French Onion soup and my husband got the seafood bake. I would've preferred more croutons or bigger pieces of bread in the soup but the flavor was bold, sweet and the cheese topping was good. The seafood bake was great as well. The lobster on the crostini was a little too chewy for me but overall the flavor combination was great. Service was pretty quick despite being busy. The dining room filled up fast after we got there and it was only a Monday evening! I'd be willing to try out some other menu items here if we were to return to Ogunquit. read more

Friendly and attentive service, great drinks, and delicious food. We ordered the lobster crostini, maple bacon-wrapped scallops, broiled seafood trio, and the lobster special. Everything was so good. The starters were amazing, from each yummy lobster-filled crostini bite to the crispy bacon and sweetness that perfectly complemented the scallops. The lobster special was definitely the highlight of the meal, especially for the price ($28) - it was a whole lobster with the main body filled with seafood stuffing, and there was so much meat in the claws. I loved that both of our entrees came with a hearty heaping of mashed potatoes and green beans. Also, an added bonus - free bread and butter. The food was ok here, but I'm having a hard time seeing what the restaurant offers that is above and beyond the others in the area -- and there are A LOT of restaurants in Ogunquit. Seriously, we drove by all of them on the way to this joint. I know it's hard to come by good pizza once you leave the NY/NJ area, but this personal cheese pie was far from impressive and I give it an E for effo-- not good enough to finish the word. Sorry. Bread - appreciate that it was warm and looked like a hidden Mickey; and also enjoyed that the butter had a little something extra, like a honey taste to it. That was a nice surprise. Also small enough to just be a little nosh before your meal. My skinny margarita was EXTREMELY strong and I was disappointed by the selection of tequila at this restaurant. They also weren't able to make a skinny spicy marg properly, and that really upsets Sarah. They just didn't have what it takes. As for the meal, my salmon was Ok but I ordered it blackened and this really was just more like grilled salmon. Also the string beans were overcooked. They could've been crisped or slathered in butter. When I go out to a restaurant, I don't want the string beans to taste like they do at home, I want to revel in the added fat that comes with the veggies, if only for one night. Future husband's cab was pretty good - I'm giving this place three stars after all, so I can't complain about everything. We also had a really nice / hot server. That place is the BOMB! After many options and reviews read, we decided to go with "That Place" and so glad that we did. We probably would have returned if we had spent more time in Ogunquit, we loved it that much. Given Covid, they had tables both set up inside and outside but it was a bit chilly so we chose to sit inside. The inside tables were generously spaced out and we felt safe. We first were given a delicious complimentary fresh loaf of bread to start off with a sweet cream butter and were offered more if we wanted. We ordered the hanger steak bruschetta as an appetizer, which was an awesome explosion of flavors, honestly a perfect main course if you're feeling it. For mains I ordered a blue cheese salad with shrimp, which was basic but what I was looking for. And the star of the night was my boyfriends Pork Chop. It was delicious and comforting and everything we could have wanted and more. Do yourself a favor and order it. Made a reservation for 6:45 the day of, and came in a bit earlier at 6 and they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. Service is great! Attentive and yet not overbearing. We ordered the French onion soup, stuffed lobster, stuffed haddock, and I paired their that place salad with the scallops appetizer to make a meal. The French onion soup is delicious!!! Comes out piping hot, but it was so delicious I did eat it immediately risking burning my tongue. Its not too salty--actually quite sweet, and the cheese is so good. Everyone enjoyed their mains. WOW! Such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles! Everyone was so kind to us, and the food was truly unbelievable. The fish is fresh, and flavorful beyond belief. I was so full after everything that I felt like I had to be rolled out to my car. I had the baked seafood trio, and it was so very tasty. The scallops were fresh as anything, and quite plainly my favorite. The scallops in bacon were that much more wonderful, too, because what wrapped in bacon isn't good, right? The fried chicken is probably the thing that blew my mind the most. My sister got it, and WOW; by far this is the best chicken ever!! It was moist, and flavorful, and the coating on the outside of it was delicious!!! If you go here, PLEASE indulge in dessert. This place has THE BEST COFFEE I HAVE EVER HAD! I know that sounds so silly, and I don't know what it is, but wow I wish I had their coffee like on tap in my house. The creme brûlée was TO DIE FOR! Creme brûlée is my favorite dessert of all time, and i will be dreaming about this one for the rest of my life. It is in a super cute location with inside and outside dining. Service was great! Beverage choices were fun and delicious. The food was also very good. They also have gluten free option. The only tricky part for me was the limited choices if not able to have shellfish (allergy). Lots of shellfish on the menu and the haddock has a lobster sauce too. I ended up with a beet salad and added chicken. It was delicious but wished they had had more entree/appetizer options without shellfish. My friend had the haddock and loved it though! read more

My husband and I love Ogunquit. We visit several times a year. How have we missed That Place Restaurant? I'm a foodie and so glad we finally found That Place. First off, the hostess was extremely accommodating allowing us to choose our table. Our server Allie was the epitome of a professional server. She was extremely pleasant, and catered to all our wants and needs. Who could ask for anything more? She knew the history of That Place and understood the menu well. It was a marvelous experience! I called for reservations but they were closed (Tues/Wed), but I left a message and was texted back the next day with confirmation of my requested reservation! I had the Cioppino which had a nicely spiced broth and variety of fresh seafood, mussels, cod, scallop and shrimp...perfectly cooked. Devine! My partner had the broiled seafood trio... scallops, shrimp and haddock. Melt in your mouth! The scallops tasted like they were just caught! Then for dessert, crème brûlée...
