Love this Thai place. The owners are actually from Chaingmai. We have our usual order of Chicken Pad Thai, Yellow Curry and Pork Fried Rice. On occaisian, we splurge and get their mango sticky rice. Everythig is delicious and the staff are both friendly and efficient. read more

We were getting our car serviced at Toyota and we just happened to find this place on Yelp. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated by a waitress. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and has nice decor. It is a fairly small restaurant but it had a cozy feeling. We ordered water and fried tofu as an appetizer. The waters came out immediately and the tofu shortly after. We then ordered our meals. I ordered a bowl of pineapple curry with tofu. She left to put our orders in. It took about five minutes for our food to come out. The curry was amazing. The broth was absolutely delicious and there was lots of tofu, veggies, and pineapple. Not to mention the service was great. Everyone we came into contact with was polite and friendly. I would highly recommend to anybody whether a fan of Thai food or not. read more

A friend of mine were in the mood for Thai food and she said her cousin told her about a Thai place in El Cajon that was really good. We found the place through direction, not knowing what the name of the restaurant actually was. It's a small little Thai restaurant across Parkway Plaza mall, probably holds about 12 tables. It was half crowded when we got here and we got seated right away. I ordered the grilled salmon with panang curry on a level 4 for spiciness and the fresh shrimp spring rolls for appetizer. The spring rolls were really good, all the ingredients tasted fresh despite it being an hour to closing. I couldn't even finish my second one because they were pretty big! I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon, and it's a good thing I got a 4, because any spicier I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it too much. I took home the rest for lunch the next day and it was still good. I'd definitely go back to Thai Time (now that I know the name of the restaurant). The waitresses we had were friendly and always kept our drinks filled. I'm glad to have found a good Thai place in east county so I don't have to drive so far when I'm craving for it. read more

Came into this place with my brother after reading the yelp reviews and I am so glad that I tried it out. Small place, nice service, great food. I had the pad Thai which was great but my ultimate favorite are the giant sized spring rolls. The peanut sauce is so good and prices are fairly reasonable. Hole in the wall place in El Cajon and gets busy fast with no room to sit inside but if you take it to go obviously you wont have that problem. Be back there again. read more

Delicious! Best I've had so far in SD. They have pretty good serving sizes too, enough for sharing. This place was definitely a pleasant surprise, it looks like a hole in the wall but once you walk inside it's very nice. The staff was friendly, but it does take a while for them to refill your drink. So beware if you get a spicy dish and you need more water. read more

I come her to get my thai fix. Staff is friendly and is always running around making sure the food gets out as fast as possible. The restaurant itself is way better than all the other thai places I've tried since it's clean and well decorated. So far I've tried the chicken pad thai and beef eggplant and both have been consistently tasty and authentic. Overall good atmosphere great food! read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! I come here pretty frequently because they're by far the best. All of their food is excellent but they have mastered their Tom Kha Gai soup! I've tried so many places but I refuse to go anywhere except here for the soup! The flavor is outstanding! I don't know what they put in it but I think crack! I used to eat here twice or once a week but the service and food has declined the past year. The food hasn't tasted the same. I order the chicken red curry and it's not consistent. I ordered the pad Thai last time and asked for a side of peanut sauce (I love the stuff! ) and I was told by the waitress that "it doesn't go with the meal". I don't care if it did or not I asked for a sauce please provide it for me while I dine in! the last straw was when I tried ordering for delivery as I live within the 5-10 mike radius and I was told they don't offer that service anymore. I still gave them 3 stars because it still is my first choice of Thai dining in east county. I just wish they would fix the consistency of their food. read more

Delicious! Small, clean, friendly and wonderful! I had the Papaya salad which was very refreshing, I probably could have gone higher on the spice level but it is a great summer salad. Chose this place because of the yelp reviews and boy were they right!! Amazing food! It's a little baby restaurant but what they lack in size they make up for in flavor!! We had the heavenly chicken (sweet orange sauce) and the spicy pad Thai with duck! They were both really good! My picky kiddo even ate some of the heavenly chicken! We had the golden bag and sampler appetizers! I highly recommend the golden bags!! So much flavor!! Also had a chai tea and Thai coffee!! Can't wait to come back again and again even if it's just for the chai coffee to go!! read more

As everyone who lives in East County knows great restaurants are hard to find. Well if you are a fan of Thai I've got good news... This restaurant doesn't have an abundance of seating and that is literally the only negative. Let's talk about the good stuff.. We started with the fresh spring rolls. These are significantly larger than at other Thai restaurants. Very fresh and come with a hoisin/peanut sauce. We also shared a papaya salad. Shredded papaya, spices, lime juice. This is something I've never tried, it is really good. That was a great healthy start. Let's talk entrees. The Spicy Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) is honestly one of the best I've had in San Diego, heck anywhere! My wife had the Pad Thai, I sampled that for purposes of this review and it was outstanding. My daughter had the Heavenly Chicken. It's lightly battered deep fried chicken pieces in a sweet orange glaze. Lots of meat, not over sauced. Great stuff. Finished the meal with sweetened coconut sticky rice and fresh mango. Crazy good, even my 10 year old daughter couldn't get enough. I can't wait to get back! Enjoy! read more

i was extremely disappointed with the lack of service and diva attitude. the place closes at 930.. we arrived at 920 and were refused service even thought there were still some patrons and the doors were opened. we asked for a to go order and were answered with a "were closed and i am not cooking for you" will never again set foot in such a despicable place. read more

My boyfriend and I are super picky about our Thai food and this is our FAVORITE spot in San Diego! (And pretty much all time.... and we're from SF Bay) Their dishes are fantastic with huge portions. Two of our favorites are the crab fried rice and the spicy catfish! Definitely underestimate what you can handle in the way of spice... we got medium the first time and I couldn't even eat it. So a little less spice than you would usually order! Also don't forget to get Thai iced tea (w boba)... 5 bucks for a gigantic one that's great for sharing. I love this Thai place. The waiter is very friendly, and remembers us when we come in. . .Probably because my husband is so picky, but still, feels good when they can recall your order, and when you call in over the phone he asks "No cream cheese wantons today?" Those are amazing by the way, as is the spicy fried rice, and the pad see ew. . .I think is how it's spelled. I have tried almost every noodle dish, aside from chow mien, and they are all wonderful. Small place, so sometimes you have to wait quite a while, but we waited almost an hour one night, and I will tell you, it is always well worth the wait. I often call in and pick up. :-) read more

This is a great Thai place. In El Cajon of all places. The food is always fresh and the service is great. The portions are pretty large so you won't still be hungry. The lunch special is a really great deal and they give you a good amount. They also have brown rice as an option for the health conscious. I love this place! This place is great! I was so surpised by the atmosphere when we walked in. It's in a strip mall so I wasn't expecting the cloth napkins and nice glassware. The service was great, they are super friendly. The food was excellent. We had the spicy noodles with "chicken" (I'm not a fan of "chicken" but my husband likes it) and the panag curry with tofu. The curry was some of the best I have had. I tried the mango sticky rice and it definitely was the best I have ever had. You MUST try. I will certainly come back here as it has it all. This little gem is pretty well hidden in El Cajon. It is roughly across from the mall but kind of tucked in off the street. We had a really good time here! It is very small and quaint, and you get very personalized attention. I'm a newbie to Thai food and the nice little old lady gladly answered all of my questions. The food was delicious! My girl liked the curry and I'm down for anything with chicken. Lots of good flavor and reasonable prices. Soda is not of the fountain variety, it is canned. That's about the only draw back I can think of. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Thanks Yelp! This place rocks! And it delivers! One of the pitfalls to living in east county is HORRIBLE FOOD. I can count the number of decent restaurants on one hand. Thai Time is one! Spicy Flat Noodles are amazing. I order it spice level 6...super spicy and flavorful. Yellow Curry is great, but I would avoid the duck(which gets lost in flavors) or seafood(bland and forgettable) and just go with a cheaper option (pork, chicken, beef). The Spicy Fried Rice is amazing, I found best with pork. I have found the ladies there to smile and thank everyone. The delivery service can take a long time, and they do not have the best phone skills, so be warned. But the food makes those gripes well worth it. read more

Delicious chicken pad see ew, but SO spicy! I love spice, so figured I'd go with a 5/10 to be safe. Warning: a 5 feels much more like a 9! Problem is it's so good that I keep going back for more pain! Take a few bites...struggle for a few minutes...repeat. Next time I will definitely go for a 2! read more
