Went for lunch because it was close to where we were and it got BUSY! We figured we must be in the right place! I got the lunch panang curry which was quite tasty. It came with salad, soup, and a few fried appetizers plus the panang curry with my choice of brown rice. The brown rice was more like a mixed rice which I enjoyed! The panang was good too but this was the first time I had pineapple in my curry. The portion was a good amount for lunch! However, I did see a lot of people ordering the non-lunch menu items. I didn't compare the pricing, but if you want more of the main dishes instead I think that is a fabulous idea. Other friends got the pad Thai, stirfry, sweet-and-sour chicken, good and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The ginger tea was a surprise and that it was almost like the ginger candy flavor. Stopped in for lunch. Small restaurant. I ordered pork green curry over rice. It came out quickly. The flavor of the sauce was good though the pork seemed to be boiled in the sauce and for too long. Lots of thin green curry with some carrot, peas, pieces of pork, and tough too much bamboo shoots. I missed eggplant which would have been better than bamboo shoots. The plaza where this restaurant is located looks a little run down, but the inside of the restaurant was shockingly nice with great decorations. I got the cashew nut entree with seafood. The dish was so large and came with lots of veggies. The ratio of onions compared to the carrots and celery was a little too much though. The seafood included 4 mussels, 2 scallops, shrimp, fish, and calamari. The seafood was surprisingly tender. The mussels didn't taste the freshest, but were still solid. The scallops were my fave - soft and delicious. The fish was too heavily breaded, so you couldn't taste much of the fish. The broth was light and not too salty. My fiancée got a curry dish, which he loved. Each dish was around $20. Overall a great quality and great value meal! read more

When I came in, it seemed like casual dining here, and they were kind of busy. I ordered the yellow curry and asked for them to add eggplant to it for me. I also ordered a Thai tea. My order was ready when I arrived. The yellow curry was good, but I do wish the curry was thicker. However, their veggies were cooked nicely. The service is impeccable half of the reason why I love this place so much is because of the staff. So sweet and kind, they do not mess around. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it just adds the home cooked meal feeling. The ambience just gives it that cozy feel. The pricing it crazy it almost feels like it's wrong to get so much food for such a good price. This place is our automatic go-to when we want to eat out. The fried egg roll and the cream cheese wonton that came with our lunch specials (pad Thai and another noodle dish) were NOT even hot or warm! They were room temperature and unappealing. The lunch entrees were a little on the dry side and lacked flavor. The fried spring rolls had a lot of cabbage. The calamari was spot on. Both came with a dipping sauce. My friend ordered the spicy noodles with chicken and I had the pineapple curry. My friend likes spicy, but a 4 was a little much for her. Portions and prices are a bonus. I would highly recommend this little spot. Many people were also ordering take out. I brought my son here for a Mom and son Valentines dinner. The food was delicious and the portion was enough to take home for another 2 extra meals. We had the Winter Shrimp which was very unique and tasty. They looked like a very long egg roll. Then I ordered the yellow chicken curry and my son had the Special Royal Crispy duck which he loved. I also ordered crab fried rice, very nicely done with all the ingredients. I don't like onions in my rice, so I was able to take those out of my fried rice. The Thai iced tea with Boba was yummy. We enjoyed the atmosphere and all the decorations in the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and checked up on us multiple times. After they packed the food for us, I ordered the very yummy mango and sweet rice dessert. That was absolutely delicious!! Since it was Valentines day, they gave the couple in front of us a courtesy long stem rose for the lady. And then gave my son and I a nice small chocolate the shape of a heart. Our bill was $88 and since we had a very nice time, I tipped $20. What an absolutely great restaurant! Highly recommend. We will come back again. read more

Why bother putting any in the dish at all if you're only gonna put 2 tiny chunks in there. Damn. Then 0 spice at all when we definitely asked for some spice. Total waste of my money and I'm still hungry. I've never had a more disgusting meal of thai food in my life! If they'd followed the directions in making the food how i ordered it, or had they included the sauce that I specifically asked for, it may not have ended up in the trash and they might have received a better review. The restaurant made a mistake on my take out order: they put meat with my vegetarian dish. When we opened the order it was already after 8 pm. I called to report it. The owner (woman) has offered credit but I was so exhausted I just wanted to eat with my daughter and requested for them to replace and deliver as we live around the corner. This was the best Thai meal I've had in years! The service was lovely, pleasant atmosphere, everything was exceptional! Amazing vegetable meal that you could add all meats to, not mushy not too crunchy perfectly tasty and me just the right size so you could pop it in your mouth without having to figure out how to bite it off. Everything was just the right size cut up. Appetizers we got were very good and even excellent. IMO, Thai Time is the best Thai restaurant in East county. Love their portions for their prices - I always have enough for another meal. My go-to is Yellow Curry with Tofu, which has potatoes, onions, carrots, and peas. Their curry is so fragrant! Husband's go-to is Spicy Noodles, also very fragrant and yummy. I often also enjoy their crab fried rice which always has a lot of crab meat. We also enjoy their cream cheese wontons and fried tofu, which is always served with plum sauce. Service is always quick and helpful. Ambiance is family-friendly, always just wish they were slightly bigger to accommodate dining in, although we always try to come at a time when it's not busy. We notice there's always a lot of to-go orders being picked up, maybe for this reason. Went yesterday, and there was a sign that says if you pay with cash, you'll get a 5% discount! read more

I was in the area visiting a friend and we didn't feel like driving too far and she suggested this hidden gem. I would have never noticed it driving down Johnson as it's a bit tucked in but am I glad I was introduced to Thai Time! So much parking in the plaza. Parking was no problem. The place is clean! You walk in and so many tables to sit down. A little bit cramped but still comfortable. Perhaps the people sitting behind us could hear our conversation lol. I was in need of some coffee and their Thai Iced coffee was delicious! It didn't make my heart race the way Vietnamese coffee does. The chicken curry made my tastebuds feel as if they were being introduced to flavor for the first time! The potatoes were a bit hard but the carrots and chicken were cooked just right. The curry tasted really good and I'm definitely coming back.
