It feels more like being in a gas station than being in a Thai restaurant, but there's clearly some quality in the food. A few vegan options are available, and my spicy tofu was definitely spicy but also had the crunch of some fresh vegetables. A lime tea on the side was definitely not tea with a hint of lime; it was a ton of lime but this made for an interesting flavor experience. They also had a food truck, though I suspect it won't see much action during the winter months. They were closing up for the holidays when I visited, and a lot of locals seemed to be rushing in to get a taste before they did.

A friend and I shared the: Panag curry w/chicken: 10/10 would get again Spicy pork bowl w/ a jalepeno cilantro cream: 10/10 would get again Thai Tea was also solid With tip, 2 bowls, and drinks with plenty to go were under $40 They also have Pad Thai Fridays, a rotating menu, and something for everyone(including vegetarians) Don't let it being connected to a gas station fool you, it is 1000% worth going and Brian the owner is literally the sweetest and most hospitable person I have ever met! 11/10 will be back again!

Everything was made fresh while we waited. My husband and I had the curry with tofu and rice and our son had the cashew chicken. Everything was delicious. They also have boba and Thai coffee!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

This was my first time there and here's what I have to say: The staff was so nice and told me to look for specials on certain days and were extremely glad when I said it was my first time going lol I ordered the Pork Rice Bowl, veggie roll, and a large Thai tea and lemme tell you the spread was amazing the pork was so easy to pull apart and had a great flavor and a good amount of spice. I didn't stay to enjoy the restaurant itself but maybe next time I can hopefully eat in and enjoy the vibes! read more

What an incredible surprise. After a long interstate drive, I was looking for some good takeout to crash in my hotel with. I had no idea this was in a gas station when I pulled up, and was admittedly worried I had made a mistake. No way. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted effusively not only by the owner but also by a whole bunch of regulars. The owner made me a sample plate of his favorites and highlighted a few key menu items. I got the mussaman curry, vegetarian, with tofu and vegetables, and it was outstanding. While it was cooking, the owner told me all about all the people working there, some of whom he had known since they were kids. When I left, again, the whole room of diners wished me well in a chorus, like an 80's sitcom. It was so sweet and so special... so much so that I'd plan a roadtrip stop specifically in Radford to be able to go back here again. read more

Incredible food. Don't let the gas station throw you off, this is the best Thai food I've had so far in all of TN, VA, and WV. Passing through town and saw good reviews for this place on yelp. Decided to give it a try. Did not realize that it was part of a gas station. It was excellent. Brought it back to our hotel and sat in the lobby enjoying our dinner and so many people that passed us told us it smelled great and where did we get it from. Our first visit after hearing rave reviews from friends. The owners (Brian, his wife, & their daughter) were all super friendly & welcoming. I absolutely adore this place! I've been to their food truck a couple times and decided to head down to their restaurant to pick up something to eat. Even though it's attached to a gas station, it doesn't change how amazing the food is. Everything I've had on their menu has been phenomenal. We got there about half and hour before close and they were out of several items but the owner apologized and tried to help accommodate the food for us to give us something delicious before closing! The owners are so amazingly nice and he made us feel like we were regulars to their restaurant even when it was our first time at the location! Being from a Thai background myself, I'd say I have a good idea of Thai flavors and they definitely nail it in every dish! Thai This Express in two words? Like family. Not only is the food incredible, hot and spicy or medium or mild, but when you walk in the door you are greeted like one of their own. Everyone is welcome to try out their rotating menu of offerings. Follow them on facebook to see what's on the menu today! They also contribute to the community through charitable giving. This is hands down one of the best Thai places I have been to. Tucked down in a small nook of a gas station of a small city in Virginia, this is one of those Christmas surprises you had always hoped for. The servers are energetic and very welcoming. You get to sample the food, which is really helpful. I don't know if they change their menu often, but if the five spices pork is on it, give it a try. This is such a brilliant blend of that southern sweet barbecued melt-in-your-mouth pork and Asian spices. Even the simple green curry is such amazingly fragrant! After a long drive and checking into the hotel, we were hungry. Lo and behold there was a Thai restaurant close by, but it was closing in less than an hour ----but wait, it's adjacent to a gas station?! We rushed over; not sure what to expect but we're pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the owner and ultimately the taste of our food (chicken pad Thai and five spice pork). It's a mom and pop business but they have it going on.... even let us taste a couple of their entrees while we waited for our takeout orders. Who knew there was a legit Thai place near Radford? Portions were decent and not skimpy on the meats. Would definitely come back again the next time we're staying close by. Thanks for the good eats and hospitality! read more

Showed up after closing time and the owner came to unlock the door with a smile and still served me delicious Thai food. I was so impressed--with the kind service and the fresh quality of the food. Fabulous authentic Thai food! So many fabulous choices our favorite is Spicy Pork Bowl. Grilled Beef Salad also amazing. Wonderful staff. If you have seafood or fish allergies they have a few choices, but if you ask they will make items for you without fish sauce! Worth the trip to Radford! read more

We ordered the beef panang curry, and chicken fried rice. Both were amazing! Awesome seasoning in the panang curry, with perfectly cooked beef cuts (weren't overly dry, and were very tender). The chicken fried rice was ordered as "Thai hot" which had a decent amount of kick but all the flavors still came through. The service was excellent, and very helpful, to the extent that they offered samples of things I was curious about. Definitely the best food I've had at a gas station. read more

I had an event after.. we just threw it away.. both orders. I did not call back as I was very clear on the phone, so if the man did not understand me then, why would he after? Why did they dye the food like that? Why was the chicken orange too? We like Thai as it is usually very fresh and clean in taste. My dear friend is from Thailand too. I've been eating Thai for 30 years, and I have never seen dyed bright orange food before. Too bad, as I adore Thai food. Ok a picture is worth one thousand words... put on your sunglasses.

These guys do a really good job. It's tough to find good Thai food in Southwestern Virginia, but Thai This makes a really good go of it. They have a good mix of more traditional Thai curries along with some fusion dishes to allow a great broad appeal for the whole family. The folks who run the place seem really committed to caring about their community and treating customers like family. read more

This is for sure the best place to get food around Radford. No other restaurant serves Thai food with the flavors as they do here. I got the spicy pork bowl with a Thai Tea and they were delicious. Spices and the tenderness of the pork was amazing. Will definitely return. read more
