Their bowls always hit the spot and leave me full, satisfied, and feeling good. The service is always great and the staff is very welcoming. I will also note that I have never had a problem with my order here, they always get it correct. The menu allows you to order one of their bowls or curate your own. You can also add or take away certain ingredients to one of their bowls as well. Some of my favorite bowls are the Balboa, the Mayweather, and the Tamari. The bowls are super filling and packed with all the ingredients. Their chicken is also really good, not dry, and seasoned well. If you are in the area and want a healthy, filling meal, check Roots out! I am dying for them to open a location in Gainesville!!

The topping options weren't 100% clear, but I ended up with several beans and some vegetables. The main, grilled option that one adds to a bowl was available with tofu or mushrooms, and I thought I'd try a barbecue tofu in search of local flavor. It was a bit more on the sweet side than spicy and while it probably was the flavor they were trying to accomplish it wasn't quite what I wanted. Still, the bowl worked overall. The value for the money isn't great, but for those seeking something quick with a lot of healthy dietary choices, this is a valuable option.

Whether is lunch, brunch, or a sweet treat, there is something for everyone! Having been coming here since I was a kid, I feel like I've had just about everything from here. The have a lot of staples in their pastry case, but usually have seasonal items as well. Their lunch, brunch, and dinner switch up daily, so check online for the menu. The also make very good breads, one of my favorites being their brioche, perfect for French toast. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming too. I find the service to be decent, sometimes it gets very busy, but the do a good job managing it. I popped in the other day to grab something for lunch. I ended up grabbing one of their grab'n go blt wraps from the fridge. The sandwiches and wrap they have in the grab n go fridge are the same ones they offer during lunch on the daily. I really enjoyed my wrap, simple but hit the spot. There was ample amounts of bacon, with a nice balance of juicy Roma tomato and lettuce. Overall, very good and not too heavy. For my sweet items, I opted for a chocolate New York cheesecake bar and a chocolate croissant. I absolutely love their cheesecake and think they do a phenomenal job. It was nice and dense with the perfect crust to cake ratio. The graham cracker crust was buttery and delicious too. The chocolate croissant was simple but very good. There was a decent amount of chocolate inside the flakey, buttery pastry. All in all, Our Daily Bread is a lovely French bakery located in Blacksburg. Generally pretty reliable, they offer so many different baked goods. Items from their paste case are always tasty. But their breads, loaves, and cakes are also yummy. There is truly something for everyone here! Looking forward to my next visit.

Get to the 2nd floor parking lot by turning up the ramp from Turner St. then just walk in. No access from inside Gilbert place academic building - must enter from outside. Food: healthy options with some sauces that kick (if you want). I got the lion meatballs bowl with knife cut noodles - yum! Like the simplicity, healthy options, and that it's very easy to take to-go

It was in the offing seemingly forever and they're still working the kinks out, with some of the noodles being unavailable when I checked, as well as their tea. By and large, I have not seen Asian cuisines in the fast casual world; Chipotle tried to get a spinoff called Shophouse going but it never really took off. The poke bowl places are the only ones I can think of that have really succeeded in this niche. Junzi promises some legitimately Chinese flavors, and it did deliver. The knife cut springy wheat noodles were thankfully back in stock when I decided to order, and they have a delightful texture. To fill out a bowl, a few vegetable options are available, and two different types of tofu are among the proteins. I found the griddled tofu mouthwatering and it did have a nicely crisped edge. The suite of other options was not huge but did include some nice things like Mandarin oranges and bok choy. I got a salad and a noodle bowl, and having skipped breakfast, was able to scarf down both bowls. The salad doesn't make a meal by itself is what I'm saying. I see some room for improvement in the menu, but when I've looked for literally anything Chinese and vegetarian-friendly in Southwest Virginia, I have not found much worth my time. The sauces and ingredients here delivered the taste I was hoping for.

The Cellar has a basement bar. We snagged a few bar seats. The bar server was great. He provided us waters. He quickly took our cocktail orders and made some very delicious cocktails. My sour apple martini was so good that that a second one was in front of me quickly. One of us ordered a full sandwich meal and that sandwich looked humongous and full of meat. We also ordered sides of curly fries. These were fried fresh. It's somewhat of a dark speakeasy vibe. The crowd was tame compared to some of the other bars down the street. We hope to try the full restaurant in our next visit.

I asked for the Mad Greek on pita bread, rather than the sub it came with, as I preferred the…read moresofter style of bread The bread came out pretty good - it was pretty soft, cooked well, and had some char marks but wasn't overly so The 12-inch that I ordered was actually two separate 6-inch subs, where each was honestly quite large - enough for a single person to finish Using a lot of willpower, I managed to finish both of them, but it was pretty difficult and required a few breaks The reason for this was the beef I can't discuss the beef without first discussing the portion size. Each pita bread was absolutely loaded with beef - I mean completely stuffed When you'd pick it up, even without a first bite, the beef would already be falling out, and this would continue throughout the eating process until there was an accumulation of pieces on the plate. Due to how packed this was, each bite was like 80% beef. Some may not like this, but because the beef was pretty flavorful, I loved it - you really get your moneys worth with this Since there was so much meat on the sandwich, I really didn't taste much of the other toppings - like olives, onions, peppers, and spinach. There was a little bit of cheese but I felt like there could've been more The lettuce was definitely there but I didn't like how it was just in two huge pieces rather than evenly distributed across in smaller pieces The mostly-beefness did make the flavor a bit one-note as there weren't really many differing flavors in the different bites Lastly, the tzatziki sauce was pretty good - it was a bit unequally distributed but there was a good amount of it - and it certainly was present in most bites For the price of around 15 dollars, this much food is really good. I might recommend getting the 12 inch and splitting it among two people so it'd be pretty cheap per person
