    Pretty exterior and entrance.

A hidden gem in the Virginia Tech office park section of Blacksburg (near Route 460) for families seeking a casual early dinner in a spacious and appealing setting. My wife, two teenage sons (19 yrs, 17 yrs), and I tried this place after a long 4-hour drive from northern Virginia and checking-in to our hotel in Christiansburg. We saw many families here on a Saturday at 5:45pm (Virginia Tech faculty and graduate students are core customers). Overall, it was a pleasant experience with lots of pluses. First, the craft beer selection is wonderful. My wife and I enjoyed the light lager (option #1) and ordered several dishes. If you like smash burgers, this is the place for you (my younger son loved it and the generous serving of fries). My wife and older son enjoyed the blackened mahi tacos (which paired nicely with the lager beer). I had the veggie protein bowl with an added chicken option (delightful), which is a great healthy option. Also, the service is professional and friendly. You order at the bar first, then take a seat, and wait for the order to arrive (the buzzer device will light up). Finally, it was mid-January 2025 so the back section doors were not open. But we walked outside over to the back side and saw the lovely lawn area and outdoor tables which are open in the warmer months. This place would be fantastic for large events! This family-friendly place has limited hours (it's closed on Mondays and Tuesday), but open for both lunch and dinner on Saturday with a brunch on Sundays.

Cute brewery in Blacksburg VA... with tasty and diverse beer options. We tried a porter, amber, cider and non-alcoholic nitro cold brew. Loved sitting inside... comfortable chairs that were very sturdy with wide seats. Long tables family style and plenty of space to spread out. The noise level for an industrial warehouse building was surprisingly manageable. We had no problem carrying a conversation over our game of scrabble. Speaking of... we appreciated the great game selection. For food we tried the pretzel which tasted similar to a bagel... a little chewier than traditional pretzel served with a mustard sauce that had a kick. The cookie plate was like homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk to dunk. Just call me Santa... as my tummy loved it. Don't let a full parking lot fool you. We found a spot and spent a short time in line for quick food and drinks and no problem finding a seat. Regardless of age, don't forget your ID here... you'll get double-exes on your hands.

This is a newer brewery as this wasn't around back when I was in undergrad (2018). Visited with a few friends in late May and loved it. The space is bright with many plants and outdoor seating. There's a field area with rocks as well for dogs or kids to enjoy. Parking was easy and the beer wasn't bad. I think they had flights but I didn't see these advertised on the menu so I wish they were. We did not try the food as we were too busy eating all of the other local eats in the area but the menu looked good. I'll definitely be back during my next Blacksburg trip!

On a sunny day, THIS is where you can and will find me. Eastern Divide has a great food and drink selection and the proper seating to make you feel like life is beautiful. Maybe dramatic but I love a good sunny day. I've had their lunch before (hot honey chicken sandwich) and on this particular day I went for brunch and got the chicken biscuit. Both times I thoroughly enjoyed my meals! They've got the hot honey flavor down, nothing too overwhelming but a good little kick. The batter coating is great too, overall a yummy dish. The potatoes that came with our brunch meals were DELICIOUS, I'm a big potato fanatic and this is one of the favorites I've had. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. I dream about these little potatoes. Not a big drinker, but when I've went with friends they always were pleased. Excited to come back again.

This place is awesome. Wide drink selection with delicious food. There is a huge indoor space along with a massive outdoor area to sit or for kids to run around. They also have a lot of board games and cards for large groups to play with. Would be a great date night or girls outing place.

Big rocks to pose on, look at that view! (We attended a wedding here )

Really cute brewpub close-ish to campus, eastern divide has wonderful indoor vibes to have a beer or some food. They had beautiful decor and staff was very friendly. They had some shared tables and a few individual tables for smaller groups. Their outdoor area doesn't have a beautiful view but is a nice set up for kids to run around or to sit by the heat lamp area. The beers we tried were nice and they have liquor based drinks as well. We enjoyed the fries and the Caesar salad looked amazing, I wish I was hungrier. We were sad they ran out of pretzels around 5 on a Saturday :(

By doing so I was able to confirm firsthand my suspicion of my amazing finding and wanted to share with the readers of my review so that they too are able to enjoy this golden needle in the haystack never explored, yet in their back yard. But before I begin, I would like to thank and give tribute to the business partners who came up with idea of this place and never allowed their life circumstances get in the way of making their dream come true for all of us, the community, to be able to share and enjoy. Twisted Track Brewpub is more than just a full-service brewery and kitchen, serving upscale food and beverages in a cool and relaxed environment. It is the perfect meeting place and entertainment venue for families and friends to meet and share quality time with each other in a safe and amusing place. First of all I was very impressed by the beautiful, open space architectural design of the building's interior as well as its exterior front seating area patio. They are welcoming and make you feel at home. When you arrive and walk inside you are immediately captivated by the place with tables and chairs all over, and a ramp and stairs that lead to a counter high above where orders are taken and paid for after you've had an opportunity to examine the menus which have been placed on every table. There "just the right size" and quality food selection menu made me want to enjoy all items listed. Especially accompanying them with a side of their very unique and amazing fat curly fries, which they call "Twisted Fries." At the counter, and extremely welcoming and friendly young lady greeted me with a smile and explained the variety of drinking items available, including very creative non-alcoholic drinks, such as the Collective Art Guava Go, which I ended up having. After ordered this and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with an order of Twisted Fries, I paid and was given my drink and a beeper to notify me when my order was ready and to go pick it up at the order pickup counter. After I sat down at a table of my choosing facing a small stage on the left side of the building, the beeper beeped and I went to pick up my order. Again the staff their were very friendly and nice. They even allowed me to photograph other menu items that were waiting on the counter for my readers to be able to view and admire. Then as I enjoyed the food that was amazingly delicious, including those amazing Twisted Fries, I looked around and the clientele seemed to be just normal and clean folks enjoying a good time. There was a group of what looked like business associates at one of the large tables. A family at another table, where the father was playing UNO with his son, using gigantic size cards. A couple at another table and so on. Many seemed like repeat customers. Since it was a Friday evening. Friday, January 17th to be more precise. It was Live Music Night and William Seymour, a musician and recording artist from Noth Carolina was scheduled to perform. He practiced on the stage for a while. Them came down and handed out his very creative square business cards with a QR code to be able to pay for TIPS and merchandise with venmo. He then went up the stage and sang and played his guitar. To conclude all I can say is: What an extraordinary dining and entertaining experience this has been. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable evening with family and friends, and am honored to be the one who has been able to make you aware of this gem of a place.

Bulls & Bones: Burgers, BBQ & Brewpub has a lot of "B" alliteration going on. I felt like a steak when I visited, so I went for it. I got the USDA Angus Sirloin, which comes with two sides (I chose steamed broccoli and fries). The steak and sides were good and simple, which was just what I was feeling like that night. I visited Bull & Bones with a group of people, and we ordered a few appetizers to share, so I got to taste some things on the menu. First of all, we got complimentary potato chips for the table. Sweet! We also ordered the fried pickles (not my thing, but people were going off on them). Also, we got two orders of the wings: one was boneless wings with buffalo sauce, and the other was regular bone-in wings with Caroline Gold sauce. My favorite were the wings with Carolina Gold sauce, because of the flavor. They were so savory and slightly sweet. For dessert, we got the warm cookie with two scoops of ice cream (yum!) and the blueberry lemon cake, which didn't look like much but tasted amazing. A little bit of dessert goes a long way, and I think you could get away with sharing a dessert, for sure. The ambiance at Bulls & Bones is casual. It's a sit-down restaurant, but it's not fancy at all.

He seemed to genuinely care about us and our orders; extremely accommodating and polite. The place was rather nice inside too for a brewpub! As we sat down our table was given a small sample of their house made potato chips, they were pretty good, would've been even better in some ranch! With that, the main food: I got a Chicken Caesar wrap and added bacon, honestly it was pretty good. The chicken had good flavor, it was very filling, and adding the bacon stepped it up a notch. For the cons, I wish it would've had more Caesar dressing, and the portion for the price it felt a little smaller than I was expecting. Overall a hearty wrap! I also got the 4 cheese Mac for my side. I was so excited to try it because I've heard people rave about it, but it sort of fell flat for me. If you really like a super creamy mac n cheese this is for you! I just wish there would've been a bit more flavor, some depth, for a premium side I just don't think this did it for me. Overall, great service, cute place right outside the big mall area, but I think the food is a little more average than I was hoping for. If there was an option I'd say it lands more at a 3.5 than a 3. Then again, I only got the wrap and mac, and I know they are more known for the bbq and burgers at the moment, so give those a fair chance!
