    Designed my own bowl
    Enma N.

Food Quality 1 out of 5 Service 5 out of 5 Value of Money 2 out of 5 I decided to visit for the second time. Loved the Alaska bowl the first time. This time I decided to make my own. Clerk was sooo patience and helpful. $8.50 for my bowl...+ addition fee for protein. I picked the "crabmeat salad" as labeled on their glass cover. Only to sit down start eating and I can taste its IMITATION crab! Excuse me but were it properly labeled I would never have ordered that. Which then makes me wonder what other ingredients are included that they are not ... properly labeling. Transparency in ingredients is crucial, especially for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. While the service was outstanding--huge shoutout to the patient and helpful clerk--the mislabeling of ingredients really soured my experience. If I had known it was imitation crab, I would have made a different choice. At $8.50 plus an extra charge for protein, I expected better quality and clearer descriptions. Ambiance 4. out of 5 - Clean space , adorable venue Consistency 2 out of 5 - My first visit was great, but this time, the misleading ingredient labeling and unexpected quality drop made it disappointing. I might give them another try, but only if they improve their ingredient transparency.

One of my favorite places to eat in Christiansburg! I'm already craving it again. Fresh, delicious food, clean restaurant and great service. The staff were friendly and professional.

Delicious, fast and easy! Very cute small shop with a lot of options. It was very filling so the prices were very good and accurate. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good Asian styled spot for quick!

Beautiful dishes. I chose to make my own bowl. There was an amazing selection of ingredients for the bowl and the service was great. My friend got their ramen and i tried the broth. IT WAS DELICIOUS.

They were very clearly busting a move to get everyone seated and taken care of. The ambience was nice and on-theme. Our server ( we WISH we remembered his name but he was amazing ) went above and beyond despite being swamped. Our table was never left abandoned and food came out in good timing. The food itself was amazing as always. My boyfriend loved his sushi, and I loved my beef hibachi plate. We got edamame and takoyaki as appetizers as well as two desserts (mango mountain and thai volcano tea). Will for sure be back and very glad we made the choice to come for Vday.

I gave my compliments to the chef and she told me that they take quality especially seriously, particularly in their avocados. The service can be a little slow at points, and my beer arrived at the same time as our food, but honestly, the food is so good that I don't mind. They also have a warehouse in the back that they use for parties on weekends sometimes. Lots of great drink options, both alcoholic and NA. If you go here, I recommend the sushi (obviously), but definitely pick something with avocado and raw fish to get the best experience. I haven't tried any of the deep fried rolls, so I can't speak to that, but all of the raw stuff I have had has been delicious. The hibachi is also outstanding, as is the ramen. Very reasonably priced for the portions and the quality and they have great lunch deals on weekdays.

We stopped in Blacksburg for an overnight stay and I was desperate for something to eat that wasn't from a bag at that point of the evening. If you know me, you know I'm always in the mood for Chinese food and if it's Sichuan, I'm at absurd levels of contentment. Spicity is a swell little spot in a strip mall and has plenty of seating. With it being right after New Years and at the end of winter break, it was very quiet and blissfully empty (I'd had enough of holiday crowds), as was literally every other restaurant we passed in town. It's spacious, has plenty of seating and has a pleasant atmosphere, if a little bright for my liking. Not that I cared because dry pot is on the menu! I started with a tofu ribbon app that is absolutely delicious (not spicy to me, but I think it had a little chili oil). And the cabbage hot pot, which I ordered extra spicy and they delivered! The bits of tofu skin made it even better. While I wasn't a huge fan of it being overwhelmed by bell peppers, I feel like it's one of those things I'd be able to adjust if I came back (perhaps next year?) They get major bonus points for being open late, too. Looks like delivery is until 9 but the restaurant is open til 11 on Fri/Sat, 10 on Sundays and 10:30 all other nights. Driving through so many small college towns, I'm seeing so many places that are only open until 8:30 or 9.

It is a decent-sized store compared to the few tiny competitors that dot the region. It's nothing like what you'd find in the DC area or the Patel Brothers you could get in North Carolina, but assuming you don't want to drive that far for food, this place certainly had sufficient selection to warrant a visit. There was a small selection of fresh produce and abundant frozen dumplings and vegetables. Tofu and other protein options for the vegetarian were also well represented. Oasis is located in Blacksburg Square's shopping center in Blacksburg, VA and features a spacious interior with plenty of aisles to browse. The store primarily sells products from the continents of Africa and Asia with a wide range of produce, meats, spices, snacks, and drinks. Every time I pay them a visit, I stock up on various málà soup bases for my hotpot and tandoori spices for grilling. They have a nice selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks from around the world that are worth checking out as well. The prices can be a little high, but overall, this is worth it for the quality of imported products you can purchase. If you need assistance in finding anything, the staff are ready to help. I haven't been to a wide variety of eating establishments in the Blacksburg college town area so I…read moredon't have a lot to compare Centro to which is why, for now, 4 Stars is what I'm giving this place as my inaugural rating. BUT....signs are REALLY PROMISING FOR AN UPGRADE TO 5 STARS if the 2 times I've been here - once in July and then a few weeks ago before the start of classes - are any indication. This was a total stumbled-on find for us and Yelp once again assisted us in picking this little gem. We were looking for a dinner spot, in the mood for anything, just wanted to find someplace with good reviews, went searching on Yelp and came across Centro. Prices were just right and street tacos sounded amazing and a healthier choice - but not too healthy lol - than a greasy burger joint, fast food or an overpriced sit down. Finding the place, at night, was tricky believe it or not. There were noooo pics in Yelp of the shopfront (there are now, check 'em out) and we went up and down the block where google maps indicated it was. Folks - it's a 2nd floor place with 2 small front entrances - the main one right on N Main - a tiny door with a big illustrated skull on the black awning (hard to see in the dark) - sandwiched in between Poor Billy's (on the corner of N Main and Jackson) and Boudreaux's. The other entrance to Centro is on Jackson, just around the corner. Just outside the Jackson entrance, you'll see the makeshift outside dining area for Centro - like 5 or 6 table/chair sets roped off as the street is still a through street for traffic. Clever outside dining area actually - tables are sufficiently distanced, servers wore masks, tables are cleaned diligently and only QR code online menus! Oh and on warm, sunny days, there is large-tree-shade providing nice relief. Way to go! Okay - now for THE FOOD! Sooooooo gooooood! Caveat: we've only ever had the a la carte street tacos and the side order of chips and salsa and guac. That's all. But that's been plenty for us and sufficiently filling and satisfying. The menu isn't extensive and they're not Taco Bell (thank goodness!) or On the Border - but Centro doesn't need to be. I figure their limited menu allows them to focus on QUALITY and what they do best. And it shows - YUM. Value: Absolutely excellent value! Way to go Centro for making your fare way-affordable for students! Totally worth the cost. Quality and fresh ingredients and generous portions on each taco. Lime wedges are a nice touch. The tray of chips is overflowing and enough to group-share. The guac is house made (you can tell) and the salsa is pico de gallo style. They have other hot, medium and mild sauces they'll bring you upon request. Service: Amazing! :) Both times, our servers were on-it, polite and responsive. Our wait for food was minimal (though truthfully, both times we went during non rush). Centro ROCKS. Give them your business and tip your server generously - they're worth it and worth keeping them going! Hoping for huge success for Centro as the new school year begins and as small local businesses like Centro are coming out of the Covid shutdown.
