I tried this place out as I am a fan of Thai food, and I was glad to discover Thai food in Radford many years after the sit-down restaurant by other owners closed. I was there at a slow hour, around 2:30 pm, so the food may not have been fresh. I ordered a chicken coconut curry, as they said they did not serve pad Thai on that day of the week. The flavors were acceptable, but there was not enough sauce - I had to open a jar at home to mix in for my leftovers. The spring rolls were ok. I went in another day around the same time, this time going around to look at the steam/hot trays they were serving from. The food looked stale and dried out. I assumed that they did not cook food to order based on this. Also, the aromas in the room were unpleasant for me, so I left without buying anything. The staff were super friendly and nice. Based on other reviews, I may give it another chance, maybe at a time when the food is fresher, or try some of the dishes recommended by other customers. I heard that this business started out as a food truck, which was parked outside. Since I like to support local startup businesses, I might go back. read more

I LOVE the food here. The menu offers little something for everyone. If you want something light try the Shrimp Noodle bowl. I love the green curry. Pork spring rolls are delicious. My expectations for Thai this express are probably similar to yours after seeing such high ratings, how good could a gas station Thai express place really be? We'll I'll tell you how good it can be. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the experience overall was amazing. The portions were fantastic, the environment was awesome, and what I presumed to be the owner was a once in a life interaction. Few places or people show a true love for their craft and this place and owner was one of them. To say that my first visit would be my last would be a complete lie. After living in SE Asia for a year, I'm picky when it comes to Asian cuisine. However this spot is truly a slice of SE Asia in SW Virginia! This place is great! Been meaning to check it out for a year because I've heard good things but it's always been kind of out of the way since I live in Blacksburg. However, I went this weekend and it was a great experience! I ordered the spicy tofu rice bowl, a veggie spring roll, and the mellow melon boba. It was a ton of food for the price and I enjoyed it all. I also decided to sit in the restaurant and when the owner noticed I still had a bunch of boba left at the bottom of my drink he offered a free refill to help me finish them. They also made some snacks from spring roll wrappers and offered me one which was very nice. Other great perks include that they offer free samples for every item on the menu including drinks, the food is prepared super fast, they are super nice and seem to have a great rapport with all returning customers, every item on the menu can be made with tofu instead of meat for the vegetarians, and some of the dishes also had a note on the menu that said they could make the items vegan. Other unique features include a rotating menu so you will have new things to try and unique options on the menu I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants (which to me is quite fun). read more

This HAS to be the best kept food secret near Radford University!!!!! Hubby is not usually a Thai fan BUT today, the grilled beef salad, spicy pork rice dinner, and chicken& shrimp pad Thai, Oh and the spring rolls (pork and shrimp). EVERYTHING was simply delicious. the customer service was equally amazing. Brian let us sample the curry chicken....OMG. It too was delish!! I can't praise this place enough when i thought we would have to settle for a sub or pizza or other college town menu choices. Stop by there....adjacent to the Exxon before you get to Radford off I-81! Tell Brian The Coleman's from Fredericksburg sent you!! I have read all of the reviews on here about this place and i say YOU have to see for yourself. When we went the place was very clean. Not all Of the trays on the buffet had food but it was an hour and a half before close. Our food was made fresh with the exception of the spring rolls. This is the best place to eat in the NRV in my opinion. The staff is always so nice and friendly! They're green curry and spicy pork bowl are my favorites. The whole family requests to eat here regularly. My husbands favorite is the cashew chicken and my son loves the shrimp ramen bowl. Everything is customizable and you can make it as mild or as hot and spicy as you like (literally)they're always adding new and unique dishes and I've never been disappointed. This is the best food one can get in the NRV. No joke. Yes, it's very casual (it's attached to a gas station) but everything on the menu is incredible. The spring rolls are delicious, the thai tea is great, and their soups are excellent as well. Everyone loves the pork bowl, but I'm a particular fan of the cashew chicken, drunken noodle, and pad thai. My wife loves the thai-style alfredo. My 2-year-old daughter likes to eat from most everything here. Their menu changes day-to-day, which was initially off-putting but allowed me to discovered dishes I probably would not have ordered otherwise. They always post the menu for the day on facebook. I should also note the entire staff is extremely friendly and personable. It's not uncommon to see them greet everyone by name as they walk into the restaurant. If you want amazing food with the best service, Thai This is the place to be! The staff (including the awesome owners) always make each experience great. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed and if you are a regular, you are welcomed by name. The menu is changed up a little each day with daily specials and it always has some of their originals like the spicy pork bowl, a curry option, and a vegetarian option. Everything that I have tried has been nothing short of delicious, but my favorites include their Cashew Chicken, Chicken fried rice, and Ginger Chicken. They offer a nice selection of specialty drinks like Mango Madness Bubble Tea (a MUST try) and Lemon Ginger Floats. Don't forget to try their spring rolls too! Panang curry has fabulous balance of flavors mixed with smoothness of coconut milk and tastes very authentic. Mouth watering Thai food right here in Virginia!!! I brought my mom here for the first time last month and she was very impressed. She is a foodie and pretty picky about her food but she loved it so much she got more food to go the night before she went back home to Texas. Must try spot in Radford and if you can't get by the restaurant they also have a food truck that sets up in Blacksburg. As others gave said, the location is suitable for pickup or very casual dining. This is one of my favorite places in Radford to eat. I love Thai food. If my nose is stuffy from my sinuses I can still taste it due to the nicely spiced food. It is not all spicy and for many of the dishes the spice level can be adjusted. They have some very delicious drinks here as well. I love the boba tea and the ginger lemon float. The spicy pork bowl is amazing. It's like pulled port with a wonderful spicy sauce and it is served with a delicious creamy cilantro and jalapeño dressing. I also really love their Panang Curry and beef salad. The masaman curry chicken is delicious too. They also have very decent pad Thai. Loved the cashew chicken and basil chicken as well. The ginger brew they use in their lemon ginger float is a wonderfully spicy ginger beer from Maine called Maine root spicy ginger brew. It is my all time favorite ginger beer (not alcoholic). It's super spicy and gives you a nice intense ginger tingle in your mouth and nose. Love this place. The owners are super nice. They and the staff are always amazingly upbeat and friendly.
