It was pretty good. We went hiking and found this restaurant. We were lucky that found a free parking spot on the street. Just a little bit walk but really enjoyed the street. This place got a lot of drinks and the service was good. The food was a little bit sweet to me but it was pretty good. I usually eat spicy food. Maybe I should try spicy curry next time.

    N14. Lo Mein Noodle

Worst Lo Mein I have ever had in my life. For $20 each with tip, It literally looks like they cook a pack of ramen noodles and throw crap in it. Soggy Ramen noodle soup with a few vegetables thrown in. I will NEVER eat ANYTHING from this place again and I have no idea how they are open. Legitimately the WORST FOOD from a restaurant I have ever had in my life.

Cute space, especially the patio. The Tom kha and papaya salad are delicious. Need to go back and try more of the menu.

I am only giving this 2 stars because the young man at the front desk was very courteous .The food taste like it was microwaved and had sat out most of the day the portions are very small compared to other restaurants in the area for the price . Also we love spicy food and this was so hot we could barely eat it. The best part of this meal was $31 packet of soy sauce and the rice thanks for the rice and soy sauce .

These are the wings. The couple I had not thrown away or given away yet.

Decided to try this place for the first time and ordered pickup. Portions were decent. At first it looked a bit small for the pricing but it either way, it was enough for a meal. What really brought this down to a 2 star instead of a 3 star is the service I received (or lack there of) when I called and asked about the chicken wings I was wanting to try. Only one of my wings had a bone in it (I was told all of them should be bone in wings) and that the cook most likely accidentally cooked general Taos chicken instead. Being told "that is very disconcerning" and no offer to help resolve the issue is the biggest concern I have with the restaurant. The other food was meh. Not great, not bad - just meh. I'm sure others have had a great experience at some point; sadly for me, this was not one of those.

    $14.00 are you kidding me.

Incredibly fresh and faster than sitting in a drive thru. The Panang curry and coconut sticky rice was amazing.

I'm from Roanoke and this used to be a weekly staple for our family but now we live in richmond and there is nothing that compares to city corner 2 (we've tried at least 6 different main stream Thai places and nothing matches it). We love this restaurant so much that I try to stop in and eat it when I'm back in town visiting family which is what brought me and my kids here today. Don't let the appearance of this restaurant fool you, some of the best food I've eaten has been at hole in the wall spots, city corner inclusive. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and never leave you hanging too long. Prices are phenomenal (one of the few restaurants left with pre-Covid-ish prices). If you haven't eaten here, it's time. It's really amazing that roanoke is so lucky to have this place here! (Also, if you aren't sure what to order, pad ka paow with ground pork is awesome, I literally can't find this dish the way it's made at city corner anywhere else, if you're sensitive to spicy you may want to ask for a milder spice level)

The service was good, and since we arrived around 4 PM, the restaurant was very quiet and not crowded. However, the food fell short of expectations, and unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to recommend this restaurant based on my experience. We started with the dumplings, which were gummy and not properly seared. The texture was unpleasant, and after trying one, I couldn't continue eating them. For my main course, the vegetables had an unusual flavor, and the noodles were heavily drenched in oil, making the dish difficult to enjoy. I wasn't able to finish it. My partner ordered the duck (no photo available), and while the presentation was nice, he found the texture overly chewy. He ended up pouring extra sauce over the dish just to finish it. On a positive note, both the Thai tea and Thai green tea were very enjoyable. We even ordered refills, which are offered at half price--a nice touch and probably the highlight of our visit. Overall, while the service, ambiance, and beverages were good, the food quality did not meet our expectations.

This Asian fusion restaurant in the Cave Spring area of Roanoke, is definitely one of my favorite restaurants of all times. And my first visit and review is something that I will always hold very dear. When you finish reading this review I invite you to go back and read that review and view my photographs accompanying that review, for it was a very unique dining experience that I will never forget. From the time you arrive at this restaurant the contemporary building design seems to beckon you to approach and enter. I love their unique logo design made up of letters and a number of a particular font that communicates a certain air of distinction. Once inside, you're like in another world altogether. If the outside of the building was impressive, the interior immediately captures your attention and mesmerizes you with it's beauty. When I arrived today, a very lovely and distinguished lady, dressed very elegantly, welcomed me and led me to the table of my choice. Later did I find out that she was the owner of the restaurant, and I had an opportunity of talking with her about the restaurant, its Sushi Bar, and Sushi chefs. Soon after, my friendly server, who was from Indonesia, came to introduce himself and take my order. To drink I had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It was served in a tall glass and tasted marvelous. As appetizer, I had the Dim Sum Platter. It contained 3 shrimp dŕhumai, 3 pork dumplings, 3 pork wasabi shumai, and 2 roasted pork buns. One of those items was extremely spicy, I had to drink water to cool down. The others tasted reasonably good. As my main entrée I had the Lobster Tail Tempura Maki. It was very colorful and tasted, and completely filled me up. My original server did an excellent job serving me the food and coming by to check on me. But then he disappeared and another server, also Indonesian came to bring me my main entrée. I think it might have been a shift change, but feel the first server should have let me know about this fact. But if the first server wad excellent, the second was amazing. He answered all the questions I had about items on the menu, and while delivering special dishes to other customers, he allowed me to photograph this food for the benefit of the readers of this review. Then, at the end, he helped me choose the dessert to have for the Grand Finale of my meal: the Banana Basket. It was amazingly delicious and had slices of bananas, kiwi, mangos, whipped cream, and strawberries. And topped with caramel and chocolate sauces. Considering its friendly and relaxing ambiance, its extensive menu with a wide range of Asian dishes, from traditional Chinese entries to a full sushi bar with raw and cooked options, and its amazing customer service, I definitely highly recommend this restaurant from my own experience. Every time I've dined there I've had an exceptional fine dining experience, and as I'm leaving I'm already looking forward to returning.

I had an order of the crab wontons - mostly cream cheese tasting - wish there was a bit more crab/shrimp, overall tasty. We shared our first hot pot - ribeye, carrots, peppers, stewed tomatoes served with your choice of rice - we chose the fried. Our shrimp tempura roll was yummy! Oh and we also each had a strawberry sangria although they do have other cocktails - I totally missed out on a screwdriver but the sangria was good too. Service was excellent- very nice people. Look forward to returning in the future!

So one early evening I was in the area and decided to go in to try it out. After all, with all these positive traits I thought, it has to be good. When I arrived, the decor of the place was reasonably nice for the number of years the restaurant had been opened. It had mostly tables and chairs with no booths. The decor was simple but in good taste. The dark tone colors of the painted walls and ceiling gave it a solid look. The use of light was also well done, especially the pink lights underneath the Sushi Bar. A lady who doubled as a host and server greeted me at the host station near the entrance of the restaurant and guided me to my table. For a Friday evening, the restaurant was not to full but it had several customers eating at different tables, as well as some take out and delivery orders. I was handed the menu which was just color copies of pages from what once had been a cardboard menu, all put together. Even though the quality of the menu itself was kind of cheap, the content had many items from Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cuisines. So I still had high hopes that the food would be good. I ordered Sweet Ice Tea to drink. Fried Calamari as apappetizer, and as my main entrée, from the Thai Entrees, the Cashew Nuts with Pork. When the Fried Calamari came out, the batter was extremely hard as a rock and the Calamari were so tough that I couldn't break them apart with my teeth and swallow them. I had to spit them out back on the plate. Needless to say, this was the first restaurant that I had to call the server and ask her to take them back. I hope management reads my review and checks this. It was either the quality of the Calamari was bad or that they were not fresh. My main entrée was fine, as well as my Fried Ice Cream dessert. For this reason I did not give them a lower score , even though this incident greatly affected the quality of my dining experience there. Maybe this was a one time thing, that happened to my appetizer, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I would say go try them out, and then you judge for yourself.

I'm not an expert in Vietnamese Cuisine, nor do I profess to be, but I can tell when I eat good food and I have discovered it in fancy restaurants as well as in many hole in the wall ones. Today I decided to get off the road most traveled, to end up in this Asian family-owned Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant. As I arrived I immediately saw its simple but very effective white sign with large black print with the restaurant's name and telephone number. Inside, the place was very clean starting from its large front window and glass door. Decorated very simple with plants, family items saved throughout the years, and artworks hanging from the walls, its shinny hardwood floor and simple lamps hanging from the ceiling, join with the nice looking wooden furniture to create the right amount of elegance and at the same time relaxed environment. I received a warm welcome and genuine greeting from a Vietnamese gentleman who had me take a seat and handed me the menu of the restaurant. To drink I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It was so rich and delicious with its condensed milk. For appetizer I ordered the Pork Spring Rolls served with a Peanut Dipping. For a better idea of how good they were, I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review, because a picture is worth a thousand words. As I waited for the food to arrive I had very high expectations on how good the food would be. And was looking forward for it to arrive so I could enjoy it. But when I was called to the counter to go pick it up, I had no idea of what a surprise I would get. At first when I opened the container where it came in, all looked nice and delicious. But when I started eating the fried rice didn't taste fresh. It was dry and felt and tasted like it was reheated. Then when I tasted the steak, it tasted like spoiled meat. I couldn't believe what I was eating. The mushrooms were not cooked well and some were even cold. And the slices of zucchini had stains on their skins. The egg rolls were dry. Like if they had been fried ahead of time and reheated. But the worst was the steak. It tasted like rotten meat. I couldn't believe it nor couldn't finish eating it. Just threw it away and left the restaurant. When I got home I brushed my teeth and washed my mouth to get rid of that horrible flavor from the rotten meat. What else I got I can only describe by having to run to the toilet. I don't like to write negative reviews, but in this case I feel obligated to do so, because of the spoiled food they are serving there and their lack of cooking knowledge.
