Best Thai in the burg hands down. I always get the Drunken Udon and it is consistently amazing. The spice level is just right and the Thai hot is actually hot. The portions are generous for the price and the wait time is minimal. I have never left the restaurant dissatisfied and I love taking my family here when they are in town. Their cocktails are also delicious and the Thai tea is very tasty. They also recognize regulars and remember their orders, which I always love to see in a restaurant. The inside is very clean and if a table is dirty, the servers are quick to clean it before seating you. Was not a really big fan of this place, I have eaten in too many great Thai places to be fooled. The chicken in the stir fry is precooked and possibly frozen. Green beans were frozen. Just not many fresh ingredients and the flavor was not what it should have been. Server was great, very friendly. Place was clean and not crowded. This Thai restaurant is notable for its vegan menu; not easy to find with Thai but they offer a variety of dishes including curries. Ordering a red curry yielded a sweet and spicy flavor with some deep fried tofu cubes, peppers, and julienned ginger. It didn't quite have the flavor complexity of the best Thai food and could have done with some Thai basil or Asian eggplants, but to have found this here was good enough for me. Spring rolls were freshly fried; a little cool on the inside actually, and a Thai iced tea was a good way to wash everything down. It was a place where you order at the counter and pay up front, which is a bit unusual but works fine. This is one of those small college towns that gets crowded very easily, and other restaurant choices failed me, so when I finally got a decent meal here it was a win. read more

other places were packed during graduation, so we gave this place a go. the curry taste like store bought curry paste that you can find at any asian grocery. the wait was long but the dining area was nice and quiet. edit: fried rice was fire though. my brother got one from the other Thai place and Yeah Siam does it better. read more

Food was not top 10 Thai in my experience. There is no waitstaff. You order at counter and then they bring to you at your table. The lady working the register was not friendly and she seemed as if I was inconveniencing her. The heat was off in the place and it was quite chilly. The pad Thai was bland other than the abundance of fish sauce used. I think the cook forgot they already had added fish sauce. The drunken noodles were udon noodles and not tasty. Drunken noodles with chicken is my go to and this experience fell way short. The spring rolls just ok and came with the most stingy amount of dipping sauce. Not even enough for one spring rolls and there were 3 and they were being shared. Over all it's a Thai place in a college town so you can imagine that the culinary standard is pretty low. I stumbled upon this place on Yelp while I was traveling through the area for work. I am so glad I did! The lunch specials are very affordable and the food was excellent. You order at the counter as opposed to your table and they bring you your food. This might bother some but it didn't adversely impact my experience at all. They were willing to make all substitutions I requested without any concern or upcharge. The food arrived at my table quickly and it was fantastic! If I had to nit pick, I'd say the spice level was definitely under. I ordered medium but the food was very lightly spiced. Not a big deal at all, I'd just order the next level up if/when I have the oportunity to return. Also, the portion size was perfect for lunch. I love this Yeah Siam! I have 2 favorite go to places for Thai food and this is one of them. The service is excellent and the selection is as well. They always have my favorite soup on Earth (Tom kha gai) as well. I absolutely adore this soup. It is the most satisfying and comforting blend of savory and very lightly sweet. It is well balanced between those two with a coconut and lime flavor. I also love the drunken noodle and the red curry, green curry and massaman curry they serve. Absolutely delicious. It is a small restaurant but they have seating for a medium sized group as well as smaller tables. It isn't fancy but makes for a very nice dinner or lunch out. Highly recommend! read more

Ate here recently while on vacation with family and the staff were totally rude to us and many other close by tables, the short lady at the front acted like we were a burden and the food was unauthentic and blatantly precooked frozen meat/veggie. udon noodles for Pad See Ew lol . NAME CHANGE ONLY - from Beat Bangkok to now YEAH THAI - same location conveniently located right in downtown BB off Main behind the post office on Jackson. Same management/ownership (saw the super sweet lady owner with my own eyes lol). SAME GREAT FOOD - amazing and AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD - no pretenders here. Literally some of the best Thai food I've had EVER; and Thai food is a steady staple in my life - THAT good. We went on a Wed night, party of 2 around 6:30PM - during school winter break - the place was ofc empty but open till 8PM and they were happy to serve us. The only differences I see besides the name change were a clever "operational" change perhaps to save on labor costs - no longer servers waiting tables - now you walk up to the front counter and place your order and pay (after reviewing the menus at your table). The food is brought to your table and we were tended to throughout our meal so no issues with service. I didn't know "the old" Beat Bangkok menu and pricing very well so I don't know if "the new" Yeah Thai menu is any different. We had never eaten in this restaurant since it changed hands. This is supposed to be a Thai restaurant ... but every dish lacked cilantro and lime. Everything was swimming in old grease. Absolutely the worst Thai food I've ever had. The pad Thai, wings, spring rolls, fried rice, everything we ordered was tasteless, lacking traditional Thai flavors, and swimming in grease. If you are a vegetarian, this is the place for you. The vegetables are fresh. The flavors are outstanding. Had the Tom Kha soup which was bursting with flavors of basil and lemongrass. Also had the mixed vegetables which were perfectly cooked.The udon drunken noodle was flavorful. It's a shame they're not made with the typical wide rice noodle though. It's usually one of the few dishes, my gluten-free son can eat. Sadly, though, I am not a vegetarian and I ordered chicken with all of the above dishes. Pretty sure the chicken was Purdue grilled chicken strips. It had sort of a chewy texture with the fake grill lines on it. The pieces were identically sized and formed. Maybe it was an off night and they were out of fresh chicken? It's a cute restaurant and perfect for a date night. Ordered from here on Uber Eats and was relatively disappointed. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and Pad See Ew and neither were very good. The Tom Yum soup had an overwhelming tomato flavor which is not typical for this dish and really just lacked the throat clearing goodness I usually expect from this soup. The Pad See Ew had extremely thin noodles rather than the thick chewy noodles that usually come with this dish, and wasn't very flavorful. I ordered it Hot (3/4 spicy level) and it wasn't spicy at all. Probably will not order from here again which makes me really sad as I looove Thai food! read more
