Everything was so tasty, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Definitely the highlight of our experience! The decor felt like you're truly in Thailand. Unfortunately, the service was a bit subpar, at least with our server. We felt somewhat rushed throughout the meal, but thankfully, it didn't stop us from enjoying our food and conversation. The biggest surprise came when we received the check. Since it was my first time dining here, I didn't realize they automatically include a gratuity charge. For our party of three, a 20% gratuity was added. For reference: * Dine-in parties of 9 or fewer: 20% pre-tax gratuity * Dine-in parties of 10 or more: 25% pre-tax gratuity I would still recommend giving this place a try because the food is genuinely delicious. Just be sure to know about the automatic gratuity ahead of time so there are no surprises when the check arrives!

He doesn't eat chicken!! Story time!! We were in town for the Marathon weekend and tried to make a last minute resy. We got seated outside which was fine cuz we understand it was last minute). It was 40s outside and no heater in place... People seemed to come here for special events (we saw many grad parties or birthdays and date nights). We ordered noodles and curries. Huge portions that could serve 2 people per entree (or 1 very hungry runner per entree, which was the case for us). The food was tasty HOWEVER WE WERE GASLIT! My friend ordered his dish with pork and after a bite or two he realized it was chicken. We asked the waitress to send it back and she insisted it was pork (by this photo you can tell the top right dish's protein is the same as the chicken in the 2 curries...) and insisted that we were confused with curt demeanor... Service wise, we had multiple different waiters/ waitresses, one person seating us, another taking our order, another delivering the food, another filling the water, so it was very hard to communicate our concerns because it was one big telephone game. We didn't like the service, the outdoors dining area was cute and NOISY so don't plan on having conversations there. Parking was easy enough there were multiple garages nearby. Overall tasty food but we got the ick after being gaslit so probably won't come back.

I do appreciate how the pad Thai wasn't super oily and greasy. It doesn't feel unhealthy chowing it down.

Everything is just so fresh and delicious, service is always kind and knowledgeable, and the interior and patio are both beautiful seating options. We also got the green mango salad and mushroom laab- all so yummy! The bartender was really great at giving us lots of information and helping us decide what to get and the ambience and vibe is so stunningly beautiful but the food definitely matches that. Such a simple dish but I could eat a VAT of that Roti app once a week for the rest of my life and be better for it LOL. It's seriously so good I crave it constantly. I tried out the lemongrass meatballs this time. They were SO GOOD. Normally I need a thick sauce with a meatball idk it's just who I am. These needed absolutely nothing. They were the perfect texture and I loved the crispy shallots. I've actually never had Khao Soi and man I have been missing out! The meat was seriously so tender I could not get over it. We had a horrible culinary experience the past couple of days driving through West Virginia, Ohio, and western New York. Pittsburgh was our last stop before heading home and Kiin Lao and Thai Eatery made up for all of the culinary disappointment this weekend. Let's talk about the ambiance first. Everything about this restaurant was quite beautiful. When I say beautiful, I don't mean it in an elegant way, but an artsy street vibe way. It is hip, clean, and we'll put together. You can tell a lot of love went into the decorations and into every piece of art on its walls. The service was pretty good. The server herself was attentive when needed and left us alone when needed. The food was AWESOME. We got the papaya combo with the Thum Mak Houng option, curry puffs, grilled pork shoulder with sticky rice, and Pad Gra Prow Street Style. The papaya was "lao-style" made with fermented shrimp paste. If you love deep umami flavors, this is it for you. The papaya salad was pungent and sour and savory spicy and just so satisfying. We asked for a 6/10 spiciness and they came with the heat. The chicken skewers that came with it was flavorful too. A little bit of char on the chicken would've brought it over the top. The curry puffs were so comforting and had that south Asian flavor profile that was very welcomed. The curry and spice blend did not overwhelm the potatoes. Instead it enhanced the earthy potato flavors in the best way possible. The menu said that it came with a cucumber sauce but I don't think we got that. What we got was a more like a honey sauce. The sauce was good in itself but didn't pair well with the puffs. The grilled pork shoulder was delectable. The meat was tender and it was seasoned perfectly. Again, more char on the meat would've brought it to a new level. The only gripe I have with this order was the sticky rice. The amount of sticky rice you get with it was so small I thought it was a joke initially. Nope, it was not! I thought the Pad Gra Prow Street Style was OKAY. I would've made it a little saucier. Despite this, my significant other absolutely LOVED it. Pad Gra Prow was my significant other's favorite dish when she lived overseas. She said that this was the best Pad Gra Prow she has had on this side of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely come by again when we are back this way.

I ordered mee Kathi and it was so flavorful! I got a spice level 4 (of 10) and could've done a bit more spicy, I just didn't know what to expect. The service was just OK. The waiter didn't seem to want to be bothered with us, and also the very loud music that was interrupted by a lot of equally loud commercials was pretty offputting, but based on the food, I would definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish…read more First, the atmosphere was immaculate. The music was amazing, banger after banger, and it gave the whole restaurant such a fun, comfortable energy. The staff was incredibly attentive, clean, friendly, and genuinely caring without hovering. They seemed to know exactly when you needed something and when to let you enjoy your meal. The menu was also exactly what I want from a Thai restaurant. They had a great selection without making it overwhelming, and all of the classics you would expect were there. I started with the spring rolls, and they were excellent. The serving size was perfect for one person, three good finger-sized rolls, and they came out absolutely piping hot. I actually had to wait a minute before eating them, which I genuinely appreciate. There is something to be said for food arriving fresh from the kitchen instead of sitting around getting lukewarm. Then came the red curry beef. I travel for a living, and one thing I make a point of doing everywhere I go is trying the red curry beef. I have probably had hundreds of versions in different cities, so I am pretty particular about what makes a great one. For me, the curry needs to have a rich, creamy, slightly thicker consistency. Too many places serve it watery, which immediately takes away from the dish. The beef also has to be good quality, because questionable meat can ruin even a great curry. Dancing Crab Thai absolutely nailed both. The curry was rich and creamy with a powerful but beautifully balanced combination of coconut and red curry flavor. The spice level was perfect, enough heat to make it exciting without overpowering everything else. The beef was excellent quality, and along with the usual peppers and bamboo shoots, this one also had peas, which I don't remember seeing very often in red curry but really enjoyed. Even the presentation had a thoughtful touch. The rice came shaped like a heart. After trying red curry in hundreds of restaurants, I can confidently say this is now my number one. For an appetizer and entree, plus the overall quality of the experience, I thought the pricing was completely reasonable. My full meal came to around $45, and considering the quality of the food, the portion sizes, the atmosphere, and the service, I felt like I got exactly what I paid for. Excellent atmosphere, excellent service, excellent food. I travel constantly and eat at a LOT of restaurants, and this is one I will absolutely remember and gladly return to.
