Good, but not quite excellent. This is a tiny little space tucked into a small-ish storefront near the busway in Edgewood. Parking is easy, and the outdoor seating area is nicely done. In terms of food, it was generally good. The fresh rolls were filled with lots of fresh lettuce and avocado, but they could have used some extra flavor beyond the side of peanut sauce and some extra texture beyond the lettuce. The pad Thai was flavorful with a fairly substantial quantity of vegetables and bean sprouts. The tom yum soup was decent, but could have used an extra squeeze of lime. The spicy basil was both flavorful and filled with vegetables that still had just the right amount of texture. I ordered a spice level of 4 out of 5 for just about everything and that seemed like a good level for me. All told, this was a nice little place that seemed to do a pretty good job with a wide range of dishes. In terms of the service, it seems like a very small but well-run operation. We ordered takeout, and the experience was great. The online ordering page wasn't working, but it was easy enough to call the restaurant and place an order. Absolutely loved Thai terrace. We dined in, I will say the restaurant is small and freezing cold. I left and my toes were numb lol. But anyway, the food was incredible. Definitely what I expected with Pittsburgh Thai: always the best for some reason. I've had Thai all over the country and in philly and nyc especially and nothing beats the Pittsburgh Thai food scene. What a find! We recently found this tiny-but-mighty hole in the wall next door to Autosmith where we had to get our cars inspected (the place on the other side of the restaurant is a decided *un*glamorous convenience market) - and wow, what a great lunch we had! There are only a few tables inside, but no one was dining in at that time, so we grabbed a table. A friendly woman greeted us and took our order. The lunch menu is a fabulous deal - a great selection of dishes are mostly $7.75 (slight up-charge for seafood, etc) - and you get more than enough. We had leftovers (). We ordered avocado garden fresh rolls (no protein option); tom kha gai; veggie pumpkin curry (spicy level 4); & spicy basil fried rice w/ chicken (level 4). The rolls were SO fresh - like a bright salad jam-packed into a neat rice paper envelope! And the peanut sauce was thick, flavorful, & *warm* (!!) - YUM!! The tom kha was nice & spicy; the chicken juicy - so full of flavor. The pumpkin curry was chock full of scrumptious, moist Asian pumpkin chunks - the best of the pumpkin curries we've tried so far in the Burgh (in DC, our home for many years, we don't get this pumpkin curry that's so ubiquitous in P'burgh!). And the fried rice was fantastic - the veggies still bright and crisp, the rice moist and perfectly cooked. Great lunch! It was easy to see why they had SO many takeout orders (the mechanics from next door, the mail man, a regular dine-in elderly woman, on and on the orders flowed in while we were there). Fantastic hole-in-the-wall Thai place near Edgewood. My wife and I just moved to the area and we liked it so much the first time we went back the very next week. Lightning-fast take-out service with eco friendly touches like compostable containers and rice containers with no metal so they can go in the microwave. Super reasonable prices (entrees are $10-12 each). We have tried several of their curries and all are really loaded with veggies, a good bit of meat, and a generous serving of rice. My favorite was the Panange Curry, which had broccoli, cauliflower, and some snap peas. Curry sauce is flavorful and medium spice level is very tolerable. The veggie crispy spring rolls are a nice appetizer. You get three so be ready to cut one in half to share on date night! We also tried the lobster rangoon and actually it wasn't our favorite. After craving some Thai food, my friend and I were originally planning on checking out a completely different restaurant only to find out there it was closed due to kitchen renovations. We were looking for some other Thai restaurants in the area and stumbled upon Thai Terrace. All we have to say is, this is probably the best pad Thai that we have had in Pittsburgh so far. We came during the week when they were offering lunch specials that included an entree off of the lunch specials menu, and spring roll along side sweet and sour sauce. I had the pad Thai with , which was super flavorful and loaded with meat and vegetables. The sauce stuck to the noodles nicely, and it had an authentic taste according to my friend who is from Thailand. They offer a spice level 1-5, and I went with a three and could have definitely gone higher. If you can handle spice, I would definitely recommend going with either the 4 or 5, which is what I will do next time I am here. My friend got the pumpkin curry with chicken, which was served along side a bed of rice. Unlike some other Thai restaurants, the curry didn't taste watered down, and the coconut milk was so flavorful throughout the curry. The lady informed us that the curry comes out a little spicier, but my friend and I were both able to handle it easily. This was an awesome find that we came upon and will definitely be ordering take out from here and stopping by again for their lunch specials! read more

Magnificent food from a tiny Thai spot in Edgewood. I was not expecting this place to be in my top 5 Thai places in Pittsburgh, but man is it good. Tonight, I tried the Pad Thai with chicken (no scallions), crispy spring rolls, and the roti dessert. Absolutely excellent portions, especially for the price. The pad Thai was fairly flavorful. In my opinion, a bit more sauce would have been nice. The noodles had a light bit of sourness to them, which was unexpected, but surprisingly tasty. However, the ratio of meat to noodles is perfect. The chicken was well cooked, and it didn't overpower the noodles. There was also a decent number of nuts scattered throughout the dish, and it was NOT too oily (like in many other places). The spring rolls were quite tasty as well (3 per order, for $4). They were stuffed with a lot of vegetables, especially cabbage. It was seasoned and perfectly crispy. The sauce that is served with it came with the perfect balance of sweetness and light slickness. I have never had roti in dessert form, but wow, this was delicious. Once again, a great portion of 2 pieces, and a decent amount of sweet condensed milks soaking the bread. The roti itself it chewy and folded. I enjoyed both the sweet flavor and the texture. All in all, this a place that I didn't expect to be wowed with. But, the portions are great, prices are incredible (some of the best in the city, if not the best), and the flavors are definitely high quality. Would 100% recommend and likely return. read more

Quality of the food has declined over the past year. When I order fried tofu with my food, they give me old, re-heated tofu that was made on a prior day. It's gross and insulting. My 2nd complaint is that I order either a spicy level of a #3 or #4, on a scale of 1-5, yet I continue to be served my food with zero heat at all. ZERO! Once I complained about it to the cashier, who, very indifferently, handed me a small container of spicy sauce, which still didn't make my food hot enough, but did give it a sour flavor that wasn't great. This has happened the last 4 times I've had their food. I don't know why they bother to ask what spicy level I want if they refuse to actually make my food spicy. Again, it's insulting. They're closest to my house, so it's the most convenient Thai place to get take-out, but I'm so tired of being disappointed. They really need to step it up. Small unassuming Thai restaurant that seems to cater for more takeout or pick up than dine in, as there are only 4 tables inside, though more tables outside for al fresco dining in Summer months. Usual Thai offering that was ok, but didn't wow me. Lobster rangoon was perfectly presented and quite tasty but lacked any real lobster/seafood flavour. Tom Yum soup was quite good, but lacking again this time in lemon grass piquancy. Wife had drunken noodles which were quite good, as was my green curry with chicken and tbh had better same dishes at other nearby restaurants. Menu prices were quite reasonable however. Friendly staff/owner. If you plan on dining in winter better wear a coat. It's Thai chilly! Would have preferred to give it 3 1/2 stars over 4. read more

This just might be my new go to Thai takeout place! I ordered the Pad See Ew and the flavor was so good! The chicken was done perfectly and came with the right amount of veggies. I also ordered a fried egg on the side thinking it was somehow different, but it was just a plain fried egg for $2. Probably won't order that again. Overall, I was impressed with their food quality. Thai Terrace is delicious and close by, so my boyfriend and I have gotten several meals here already. We've always stuck to the same order, and we've never been disappointed. We usually get a pad see ew each (shrimp for him, tofu for me) in addition to one or two orders of the chicken samosa appetizer. Both the chicken samosas and the pad see ew are very oily, but also delicious. As they are called chicken samosas, you'd think that they'd have more chicken inside than they actually do, but don't order them expecting a lot of meat because it's pretty minimal. They are thin samosas and super tasty. Definitely will continue to order them. So glad Thai Terrace opened up. It always hits the spot! The Thai Basil chkn fried rice I requested for Medium Thai level spicy which was the perfect level for me. If you dont like, I would suggest you mention "no spice" under your order. Chkn Pad thai was superb as per the hubby. For appetizers, we ordered the Veg Dumplings which were steamed, and their sauce was fab. Chn Satay and Corn fritters with their own sauces were just too amazing!!! This place is one of our favs at this point. Price point is affordable as well. We recently got takeout from Thai Terrace. It was easy to look over the menu online and to order by phone. The kitchen is quick! Food is good. Spice level 2/5 was just enough to keep it interesting without being overwhelming. Only disappointment was that the spring rolls (3 to an order) were fried, whereas I prefer mine fresh. The price was right, and when the pandemic is over, I would like to dine in. They have indoor and outdoor seating right off the parking lot. read more

First impression was how amazing it smelled when we walked in, the food was ready even though we were a few minutes early. We had the lobster rangoon, chicken pad see-ew and chicken pineapple fried rice with a Thai milk tea. Everything was delicious spicy and so flavorful, the sauce for the rangoon was amazing and the milk tea is my daughter's new favorite! If you still have your stimulus check, you can buy 150 orders of the lobster rangoon with plum sauce, and could possibly have made one of the best investments possible in the year 2020. That's 750 rangoons, folks, and I promise you would not have a single regret. The green curry was tasty enough, and had a really awesome variety of veggies: Eggplant, cauliflower, sweet red pepper, fresh green beans, and bok choy. Very rich, kinda salty, but delicious. Calamari was also very good! Nice big, tender pieces, generously breaded, and served with a sweet peanut sauce. The boyfriend had pineapple fried rice, and was very happy. I loved their food. That is, until I had to use the restroom one day. There was about an inch high of just water and mold everywhere. They didn't even bother to clean up the water. Along with the disgusting conditions there were mouse and roach traps everywhere. When I went up to pay, after seeing all this I looked into the back of the restaurant, something I had never paid attention to before & it looked just as filthy as the bathroom. One star because you can't just have amazing food and neglect keeping your restaurant clean and maintaining it. Someone could get seriously sick with a restaurant kept in these conditions. read more

I hate to give my neighborhood business a poor review but something has changed. In the past ordering from this restaurant was a delight. The food was always delicious and abundant. My last two orders were far from that. My previous order of Pad Thai was dry and the chicken was hardly present. Tonight I ordered the basil chicken. A few pieces of basil, a few pieces of very small chicken, and lots of vegetables. I've ordered now from Thai Terrace twice and have received good meals both times. The second time, I went and picked up my meal because GrubHub was incredibly slow. I've been living in Edgewood for over 3 years and one of the negatives about the location is a lack of decent delivery/carry out food options. Yes, Edgewood has a couple restaurants and bars near Regent Square but truthfully there isn't a large variety. Formerly Curry Away, my go to take-out service, and now reopened as another Thai restaurant for dine-in/take-out, I couldn't wait to try their product. The menu isn't too extensive but offers enough variety. I scanned the appetizers and chose avocado wraps with a mint dipping sauce and chicken samosa's. For an entrée I decided to mix it up and go with a noodle dish; pad thai noodles in a yellow curry sauce, shrimp, bok choy, fried onions and eggplant. I was blown away by the flavor, the sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, the vegetables added a nice crunch and the portion was adequate for the price. I did carry out and was quoted 15 minutes. Upon pickup my food was packaged and ready to go, everything hot and fresh to taste. The ambience is indoor/outdoor with a simple, tranquil feel and music to pair. Truthfully the food tasted on par with dishes that I've had at my other favorite Thai spot, Nicky's Thai. I'm over the moon to have another dine in/take out restaurant near me, especially one as full of flavor as this one. Hopefully their quality continues, keep up the tasty work! read more
