This is my second time here and I do suggest going with a large group and sharing everything. The salad is a must get, it was super flavorful and had lots of textures going on. The other must get is the Khao soi. All the meat was super tender. Would not get the eggplant dip again, not as much flavor as the other dishes we had. I wish the main dishes came with more rice as we ate all the rice and still had meat leftover. The staff were helpful and packed up our leftovers to go in boxes and labeled them.

Finally made it here. Have to give it 5 stars. Not all of the food was a 5 but the service came in for the win. The roti with curry was great, I'd actually like it with no chicken. As noted, the 17 ingredient salad was top notch and they described all 17 ingredients! I wasn't a fan of thr thom yum but my friend loved it. It was about mild for me. Desert was lovely. I'd return all day.

Another stellar meal and experience at one of our favorite restaurants! We had the New Person Same Old Mistakes to drink, and they were delicious! For appetizers, we had the spicy eggplant, tuna/salmon sashimi and pork meatballs. All were incredible ! For dinner, I had the prawn/scallop special and my husband got the halibut. The prawn/scallop special was on the menu for Valentine's Day, and it was so popular, they're adding it to the menu. Lucky for me! For dessert we ordered the coconut ice cream with sweet potatoes. I know the pairing sounds odd but it was amazing and you should trust the Ingredients work together. The server, Emily was fantastic. The perfect balance of what we wanted and so hospitable. The ambiance, as always, was absolutely stunning. Wow is all I have to say about all of it!

I've been to Pusadee's Garden several times over the years & my take aways are the following- For the caliber and quality of the food, the price is excellent. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance varies throughout the restaurant - dark and moody on one side, very chic at the bar, and a bit lighter and homey on the other side. Not to mention the garden, which if you're lucky enough to get a seat out there - take It. As for the food the Roti & the 17 ingredient salad are absolute must-haves. The beef tenderloin is fantastic. The panaag curry originally comes with shrimp, which are delicious, however, I've recently been getting the panaag curry with tempura vegetables and find the combo to be worth repeating. As for the Khao soi beef and noodles - another good options but I much preferred it back when it was made with short rib. Overall, a great date night spot that you will keep coming back to.

Second time dining at Pusadee's Garden. Stopped in yesterday for a late dinner. This time, I switched things up and ordered different items than last visit. Started the night off with the highly recommended roti with yellow curry, chicken, and sweet potato. This was great. Roti was soft, warm, and chewy. The yellow curry with chicken and sweet potato had some great flavor. Sort of a sweet and savory combo going on which i highly enjoyed. Next, I tried the mushroom laab. This was great as well. A variety of different mushrooms mixed with tomato and shallot. I believe there were some fried shallot in there as well which added some nice crispy textures. All of this was tossed in that classic funky fish sauce/lime combo which was very tasty. Ton of different flavors going on in this dish which I love. Lastly, for my entree, I opted for the pumpkin curry. This was loaded with a ton of perfectly cooked veggies. Broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, eggplant, and of course the thai pumpkin. I liked how the brussel sprouts and the cauliflower were both seared before being added to the curry. Overall, great dish. That said, I still feel myself partial to the khao soi. I also tried a bite of their panang curry. I'm not sure what their secret is, but that shrimp is some of the greatest I've ever had. Might need to order this for myself next time. Overall, 10/10 as always. This restaurant is great. Service is top notch. Despite how much water I drink, my tiny glass was never empty. Vibes are great. Food is the best. What else can I say. Chef's kiss.

First night on the patio. Awesome atmosphere even without the heaters but hey it's early March. I'll take it as win and the food is spectacular and the wait staff so nice.

Worth the wait for reservations, absolutely amazing meal! The ambiance, decor, and building are impressive as soon as you walk in. We started with a variety of apps - the eggplant dip, sashimi, tuna laab, and the pork belly. The eggplant dip was billed as spicy but I'd say the sauce on the sashimi was more spicy. Nevertheless all four were light and flavorful. Of the three of us we couldn't decide on a favorite among them, they were all wonderful. The mains were the halibut, the crispy shrimp, and the beef cheek. The crispy shrimp was in a delightful sweet tamarind sauce. The mild halibut had a nice punch from the chili sauce and the mushrooms and greens beans on the side were a perfect accompaniment. The beef cheek was yummy and spicy with very tender beef. The spiced creme brulee was exceptional but the sticky rice custard edged it out for favorite dessert. Pro tip - reservations drop daily for a month in advance at 7:00 am and can be gone within minutes, so it's worth setting an alarm if you want a specific day.

Pusadee's Garden was one of the best eating experiences I have ever had in Pittsburgh. I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. It is very difficult to get a reservation, but after going, you understand why. From the moment you walk you feel like you are at a nice restaurant on vacation somewhere. The high ceilings in the bar area were a really cool setup. Everything just feels new and clean inside. I wish we would have been here in the summertime because the outdoor eating area looked amazing. We started with the roti, yellow curry, sweet potato, shredded chicken. This was the perfect winter appetizer. Super flavorful and comforting. And the pita or whatever the bread the served with it was the perfect fit for the dish. Next, we had the 17 ingredient mixed salad, which came with a tamarind dressing. This was a refreshing salad after our first appetizer and another must try on the menu. I am not sure how they came up with a salad where all of the flavors work so perfectly together, but this was an incredible salad. The toasted coconut with each bite was my favorite part. For my meal I went with the khao soi beef cheek, which included egg noodles, pickled mustard greens, red and yellow curry. Every part of this dish was perfect. The beef was so tender it almost fell apart. The curry and noodles had the perfect amount of sweet and spice to the flavor. It would be hard for me to order anything different when I go back. They also have a lot of really unique drink options to try. My wife had the "New Person, Same Old Mistakes", which was a really good tequilla based drink. Will definitely try some more next time we are back. Overall, this is a must try place for anyone in the Pittsburgh area!

Pusadee's was the best restaurant choice this visit! I have no complaints, at all. The food, the staff, the ambiance - ALL ON POINT. Order the 17 Ingredient Salad, then eat everything else on the menu. I loved the flavors! Your dining experience matters here. Even the water service is great! Speaking of that... PUSADEE'S TEAM, WHERE CAN I GET ONE OF THOSE WATER KETTLES?????!

My all time favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh! I am fortunate to have visited countless times and this visit for my anniversary was just as amazing as every other time. Our server, Carmel, made our meal so enjoyable! She was incredibly attentive and was so personable. We were able to sit in the garden despite the dropping temperatures, and it was so kind of the host to message us earlier in the day if we wanted an earlier time to avoid the coldest temps later on in the night. The garden is beautiful in the fall!! We were given complimentary glasses of sparkling wine for our anniversary and proceeded to order all of our favorite dishes: the chicken roti, squid, crispy shrimp, and the beef cheek noodles. I can guarantee you'll love every one of these dishes. The wine list is vast and the servers are very knowledgeable about the profiles of each one! Our server mentioned that there was a limited edition dessert for the night, probably to test trial a future dessert. As soon as I heard it was a Thai tea creme brûlée I knew we had to try it. I am still dreaming about it! I love how prominent the Thai tea flavor itself was in the dish and it was a perfect end to our meal. We can't go long without a visit so looking forward to our next and hopefully soon next meal here!

Giant squid and 17 ingredient salad

The ambiance and service are great. The restaurant is quite large and the garden seating has warm lighting and lots of greenery. The appetizers were my favorite part of the meal. The giant squid was so tender and didn't have any of the usual tough chewiness that you get with squid. The green sauce paired perfectly with the meat. The 17 ingredient salad is tossed table side and has so many textures and flavors which makes for a rlly refreshing and yummy salad. I especially liked the crispy rice on top. The khao soi's beef cheek is cooked so that it just melts in your mouth. The actual curry in the khao soi could have been a bit more flavorful but the meat is really the star of the show. The pumpkin curry was solid but not standout. Would definitely go back again.

It's rare to find a perfectly executed and absolutely delicious dining experience but Pusadee's is serving that up in spades. The outdoor patio was really delightful on an early autumn evening. They don't offer heat lamps but we dressed in layers so it was fine. Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal - patient and helpful with a smile. We loved everything we had - from exquisite craft cocktails and carafe of wine on tap to their infamous 17 ingredient salad, grilled shrimp, short rib entree, fried shrimp, giant squid, morning glory with mushrooms, and custard over sweet rice. They knocked it out of the park! Bravo!

The ambiance here is a 10/10! The inside seating was very modern but cozy with beautiful plants everywhere. The outdoor garden/patio looks like a really cool space, and we would love to come enjoy this when it's warm! Also, all the indoor seating looks to be in little booth alcoves, or at least have cozy chairs. The service was great, we never had to wait for water or refills, our waiter was checking in diligently! As for the food, I really enjoyed some dishes, and would maybe pass on some others. We started with the 17 ingredient salad- happy we tried it because of all of the interesting flavors but might not get again. We also got lemongrass meatballs which I believe were $20 and came with two small meatballs. The flavors were delicious, but what you get for the price was a little disappointing. We absolutely loved the sweet potato roti! It was creamy and sweet and spiced perfectly, with really yummy roti to dip. Lastly we ordered the crispy shrimp, which came with rice. The shrimp are fried perfectly and come with a sweet spicy sauce and some fresh herbs. We are excited to return and try more dishes and see the patio garden!!

Ask the Community - Pusadee's Garden

Are pets allowed if you're seated outdoors?

I doubt it. Outside is really the inside courtyard of the restaurant. It's not like cafe seating on the street.

Gift cards available? I Could not find an option on the website.

There is a link on our website to purchase an e-card or you can purchase an actual card in person during our normal operating hours Monday through Saturday 5P – 930P

Do they have vegan or non-dairy options?

Yup! They have a handful of non meat options and they usually use coconut milk as the base. They have been pretty open to modifications every time we've went.

    Are you doing take out?

I don't believe they're doing any takeout - they haven't since they opened.

Do they have a happy hour?

Sorry I do not know the answer to your question but I wanted to mention that they sell wine by the glass from a keg . Since it's in a sealed tapped keg the wine is fresh unlike a bottle of wine opened and resealed after a glass is poured.… Read more

Can you sit at the bar or just go for a light happy hour?

No happy hour as of this writing. And yes, bar seating is first come first serve. The bar tables, however, are reserved.

    Is Pusadees BYOB?

No, they have a full bar.

    Is the menu gluten-free friendly?

I saw several GF options, but I suggest that you call or check their memo online.

They have a series of vegetarian appetizers, but that's not their focus. In terms of the overall experience, the staff is very friendly and on top of things. We ordered takeout, but the online ordering site didn't give us a confirmation of our order. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed that everything was received and already in process. In terms of the food, the wood ear mushrooms and tofu skins was a clear winner. The broccoli was fine, but I would have preferred Chinese broccoli or watercress if they were available. The five spiced eggplant was fine: steamed to a custard-like level of softness, then paired with a salty sauce and served cold. The dan dan noodles were probably best suited for a dine-in experience and didn't really travel well. My partner tells me that the stuffed pork buns were good, but the solid piece of pork in the center was less optimal than something shredded or thinned out with some vegetable matter. All told, this was a good experience. The vegetarian appetizers were good but not exceptional. The various noodle and bun dishes were very nicely crafted. The hand made noodles were a particularly nice touch, with a lot more flavor and texture than I would have ever expected. If I have any requests, it would be for more vegetable centric noodle options.

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.
