    Crispy Rolls - V

Pretty solid takeout spot for Thai in the area! Really liked the crispy rolls, great crunch and filling, but the dipping sauce that comes with it really is a must. Also tried the Kree Mao which was a good portion and flavor, but pretty oily to me. I think they really nail their flavors for the curries too, so would recommend getting that, but everything is pretty solid here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also they don't have a ton of seating room, so takeout usually more reliable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Fine, but it could have been better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The actual restaurant space is relatively small, but it has good character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were all very friendly and helpful, despite the number of guests they were supporting. We ordered takeout, and the ordering process was relatively straightforward. Our order took a little longer than expected, but that was mostly a result of the restaurant being very busy. In terms of the food, it was hit or miss. The fresh/summer rolls were nicely done, with an excellent portioning of ingredients. The fresh roll dipping sauce was particularly good relative to both flavor and texture. The tom yum soup was somewhat bland: it was spicy but lacked much in the way of other flavor. I felt like I needed to jump in with some lime juice and fish sauce to get it on course. The red curry also seemed lacking in flavor, but the prik pao was excellent. Like I said: all over the map. I'm glad we checked out the place, but I'm not sure we'll prioritize trying it again. It might be a better dine-in experience than takeout.

Craving Thai food, Yelp brought us here, a small Thai restaurant in Shadyside. We called ahead around 6pm on a Sunday in May. Our food was ready within 20-25 minutes. When you arrive for takeout, you'll pay there if you call ahead. The entire pick up took under two minutes. To eat, I ordered the chicken green curry mild. My wife got the larb and our eight-year-old daughter the pumpkin curry with chicken. When you order, they will ask your desired spice level from 0 to 3. The 0 is truly not spicy at all. Overall, the food was good. Was it the best green curry I've had? No, but it was still tasty, Vegetables like broccoli were more plentiful than the chicken.

Tucked away in what looks like someone's home is this amazing Thai restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was very welcoming and made it feel like you were stepping into your friends home for a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Portion size to price ratio was perfect. Service was 10 stars (shoutout Tu)!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute restaurant in a great location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices seem on par with other Thai restaurants. My panang curry was unfortunately pretty mediocre. There were SO many peas in this dish. I don't dislike peas but I didn't ask for peas with a side of chicken and curry. There were far too many peas. The curry itself seemed like it was frozen and reheated. Which I get it, you gotta batch prep food, but it wasn't warm and it was grainy and not flavorful. Finally, I asked for medium spice and was given the most bland dish. Overall just not a good experience and I would go elsewhere rather than return here.

Had another great meal at Senyai. Started with a couple of appetizers--classic Thai chicken satay and Thai wings. The wings I felt were a little dry. I'm not a huge satay fan, it's just a bit plain. The peanut sauce was good. My main course was excellent. I had mana kee mao. I wanted noodles and a lot of veggies. This had carrots, broccoli, green beans and Napa cabbage. It has a nice spice to it and I liked the curly noodles. All in all, a great meal!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]VERY small Thai place in East Liberty but cute interior![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The summer rolls were the star of the show and would come back just for these! The pad se ew was good but not the best I've ever had. Overall good experience curious to try some other items from here

Delicious Thai food in Shadyside! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters when it's cold out along with string lights that create a nice atmosphere outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started off with the seafood delight which had shrimp and calamari. The breading was solid light and crisp and the sauce was so tasty! For my entree I got the si-ew and the flavor was absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed every bite, such a comforting dish. I only have 4 stars instead of 5 because the broccoli was a little hard, but that's my personal preference! Highly recommend; wide array of Thai dishes to try on the menu. I look forward to going back and trying more!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]really great service and ambiance! everyone was really nice and attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the food was super yummy and dessert was incredible as well. the waitress recommended the mango mousse cake and i absolutely agree, it was definitely a standout. the mango sticky rice was also good, but the rice was a little too hard and dry for my liking.

Talk about a business from home. As soon as I walked into this restaurant, I was like, did I just walk into someone's house? The first thing you see is a stairway that looks exactly like something you would have in your private home. You don't go up the stairway, rather you turn right into the restaurant and Despite the very modern ceiling, the restaurant also feels very homey. Not too many seats but there is outdoor seating available with some heated lamps. I came in on a Monday night around 7:45 PM and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. So I would recommend getting a reservation no matter what day of the week it is. They serve your typical Thai foods but also have a long list of chef specials. For appetizer, I got the crab Rangoon and the chicken wings. The crab Rangoon was so good, highly recommended. The chicken wings were crispy but a bit too dry for my liking and didn't have enough seasoning. I can't remember what I got from my entrée but it involved pork and was from the chefs specials. It was very good and came with a small bowl of white rice. Portions were large. The food was good enough that I would definitely come back in the future

The mama kee mao, kee mao, tom yum soup, and crunchy rolls were all good (4/5), although we thought it was a little expensive for what it was. The shrimp in the mama kee mao and kee mao was very good! However, the service was slow, but they did a good job of keeping our waters filled once the food did come. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is really small, so you probably want to make a reservation before trying to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had a great dinner here on a Friday night. The food was excellent and the service was on point. We had the dumplings and crab rangoon to start and both were very fresh. We then had the crab fried rice and ki see noodles as entrees. Lastly, we had Thai green iced tea as dessert and they were very good - just the right amount of sweetness. Their spice range is 1-3. If you want any spice, get at least a 2. The restaurant is not very large so u recommend a reservation. It is BYOB with a $5 corkage fee.

Crab Fried Rice -G. Very good

My friend and I dined there on July 4th. I got the Pad See Ew - noodles were soft yet springy, and the spicy / smoky / garlicky flavor of the dish is like nothing you get anywhere else. I am also not usually a dessert person, but this visit, I made an exception. The mango coconut ice cream with the sticky rice was a very special treat, particularly on this hot and muggy day. I don't even normally love mango, but yesterday I did. Just perfect, can't ask for more. Five stars.

Though the flavors were mostly good, the food was poor in quality. I ordered Pad Thai and Pumkin Curry. The Pad Thai was mushy, the tofu was cooked weird, and there was no spice though I ordered it medium. The Pumpkin Curry was undercooked with hard pumpkin chunks so it was hard to eat. I chose this place as an alternative to my normal place, and I can say that I won't be ordering from here again. Please note, I would've given this one star if I had picked it up myself or eaten in restaurant. I am giving two stars because I feel that delivery may have worsen the quality, so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.

We had a horrible culinary experience the past couple of days driving through West Virginia, Ohio, and western New York. Pittsburgh was our last stop before heading home and Kiin Lao and Thai Eatery made up for all of the culinary disappointment this weekend. Let's talk about the ambiance first. Everything about this restaurant was quite beautiful. When I say beautiful, I don't mean it in an elegant way, but an artsy street vibe way. It is hip, clean, and we'll put together. You can tell a lot of love went into the decorations and into every piece of art on its walls. The service was pretty good. The server herself was attentive when needed and left us alone when needed. The food was AWESOME. We got the papaya combo with the Thum Mak Houng option, curry puffs, grilled pork shoulder with sticky rice, and Pad Gra Prow Street Style. The papaya was "lao-style" made with fermented shrimp paste. If you love deep umami flavors, this is it for you. The papaya salad was pungent and sour and savory spicy and just so satisfying. We asked for a 6/10 spiciness and they came with the heat. The chicken skewers that came with it was flavorful too. A little bit of char on the chicken would've brought it over the top. The curry puffs were so comforting and had that south Asian flavor profile that was very welcomed. The curry and spice blend did not overwhelm the potatoes. Instead it enhanced the earthy potato flavors in the best way possible. The menu said that it came with a cucumber sauce but I don't think we got that. What we got was a more like a honey sauce. The sauce was good in itself but didn't pair well with the puffs. The grilled pork shoulder was delectable. The meat was tender and it was seasoned perfectly. Again, more char on the meat would've brought it to a new level. The only gripe I have with this order was the sticky rice. The amount of sticky rice you get with it was so small I thought it was a joke initially. Nope, it was not! I thought the Pad Gra Prow Street Style was OKAY. I would've made it a little saucier. Despite this, my significant other absolutely LOVED it. Pad Gra Prow was my significant other's favorite dish when she lived overseas. She said that this was the best Pad Gra Prow she has had on this side of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely come by again when we are back this way.
