Garlic Noodles
C M.

Very good food and great service! They have a really extensive menu where everyone can find something they're in the mood for. The mango sticky rice as a dessert was definitely a stand out item for us. It's convenient that they take reservations too, as our large party was able to plan in advance to go there. I got the garlic noodles with chicken and was really impressed and the serving size was massive!

Nam Khao (Crispy Rice Salad)

I've been here like 3-4 times in the past week. Once was just to sit at the bar, enjoy some apps and have a drink which was nice too. Have tried a variety of dishes and they're all pretty good. The fish cake salad is very yummy, it's like fried fish cake pieces with lettuce, cucumber, onion and in a sauce of fish sauce similar to viet ngoc mam. The pad graw pao street style was $22 but also the portion is HUGE, could easily feed like 3 people. I really enjoyed it, great flavor and very yummy. The garlic noodles are similar to lo mien but less oily. The pork laab is also very yummy with no chewy bits in it which is great. Overall such a fun place to just come and eat and hang out. Trying a lot of different things and they're all very enjoyable.

Khao Poon

Really great noodles with good portions and price too! On the second floor, there is a great view of the street as well as a nicely decorated seating and bar area. The Khao Poon, rice noodles in a red curry, was nice with good flavor, wish it came with some more herbs and lime. Level 5 spice is just enough to get good hint of a kick, would bump it up if you're a spice enjoyer. It was pretty empty when I went so service and food came out fast. Would comeback to try some of their specials and other Laotian dishes!

I love Kiin. Well, Kiin means "to eat", so yes, I love to eat (like most of us here). But wasn't in love with this restaurant. One and done for me. This place was colorful! We went in around 5:30 on a Sunday and were seated quickly as it was mostly empty. Within 20 mins, the place was filling up fast! I guess others love Kiin too. The Khoa Soi (Noodle Curry) with Lao Sausage was spicy at a level 2 - and the sausage kinda ruined it. It would have been better with some grilled chicken or some other options. The sausage was super mushy and kind of between lukewarm and cold. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that, so I just didn't eat it. I drank about 10 glasses of water it was so spicy. The glasses were small AF so they required refilling a lot. I felt like I was doing shots of Pittsburgh's finest! The Calamari appetizer was delicious as were some of the other dishes that people ordered. I should have ordered the Crab Fried Rice! The crispy chicken was OK too and may have worked well with the Khoa Soi to give it some texture. They need a Build Your Own option. I don't think I'd return as there are plenty of other asian places around I like better. Service and timing was not an issue though.

Let's get straight to the point here. You need the garlic noodles with Thai fried chicken. That's number one. Number two you need the dumplings. Go for the 9 piece not the 6 because why not? That's my version of candy right there. The curry puffs were unique and light! The owner was beyond kind and I will be back!

This is a cute little hole in the wall where you have to go up stairs to enter. Gotta love Pittsburgh's whimsical gems. Our party arrived just in time around 5:20 to a practically empty restaurant and as we sat there the place quickly filled up! Went with the Calamari for an appetizer, which I sadly didn't grab a picture of, but it was great! Others tried it as well and had no complaints. So many delicious items on the menu it was hard to pick, but I went with the Crab Fried Rice since I can't get that anywhere near my home. It was flavorful and fresh, and that chili lime sauce was outstanding! Absolutely giant portions, even though it doesn't look like it in the picture, I had ate half but my plate still looked like I hadn't touched it! Waiter was very nice and checked on us all multiple times, but I'm knocking down a star since there was no cold water! They had the already-prepared glass bottles for us to fill our cups ourselves and they were room temperature when we got there. Maybe bring them to the table when people arrive right out of the fridge?

Tofu Eggplant with Basil Leaf

My most recent trip was just ok. Service was extra slow, and my eggplant dish was bland. The fresh spring rolls were cut like a sushi roll, which was unnecessary in my opinion, and the wrapping was chewy and hard to bite through.

The food is great here, but don't go if you want to have an intimate (or any) conversation. The restaurant is so popular, it was very crowded with people talking. It was hard to hear my dinner companion talking. But that's okay, the food made up for it. We were able to talk later after we left the restaurant. I ordered the Green Curry with tofu. It was flavorful, including green beans, snow peas, Thai eggplant, basil leaf, bell pepper, and bamboo, in coconut milk and green curry. So yummy ! My friend ordered the Pad Thai with chicken: Stir-fried protein with noodles, eggs, green onions, ground peanuts, and bean sprouts. Having ordered Pad Thai at other restaurants, which skimped on the sauce and peanuts, my friends requested additional servings of both. It turned out that the dish had enough of both, so it wasn't necessary to request more. The portion was generous; there was enough to share and for both of us to take some leftovers home. I had some for breakfast the next morning. When the check came, we wanted to pay most by cash and the top by credit cards. They accommodated!

Five of us stopped by for dinner on Tuesday evening and got a table right away If you have trouble finding it, it's tucked away on the second floor above Ebisu. It's very bright and colorful on the inside with lots of seat at tables and at a bar, so it's great for groups! We came hungry and left absolutely stuffed. It was a meal where everything was flavorful and tasted really fresh. Standouts for me were the perfectly seasoned and cooked ping kai, the whole fish with basil with the BEST sauce, the delightfully crunchy crispy rice salad, and the excellent mango sticky rice, which may be my favorite mango sticky rice in Pittsburgh!

Chicken wings

I've had better Thai food, but also have had worse. Door dashed, packaging was great, and loved the real to go badlg it came in. Food also came hot. Portion sizes were well also. The curry puffs were my favorite item. These were a flavor bomb, flaky puffs nicely filled and came with a great dipping sauce. The chicken wings for me were blah. Taking a bite without the sticky sauce had no taste. The vegetable Pad See Ew was another good dish. The noodles were delicious and packed with veggies. The crab fried rice me was a let down, had crab shells in it, and really little to no crab flavor or taste. I did get the Thai spice level, and be warned that is pretty spicy, which I didn't mind. The Pad Gra Prow was ok.

Tilapia

def not as good as it was the last time I came. We got everything in level 3 and there was no spice (I remember 2 being spicy before) :( I feel like portions also got smaller The garlic noodles were very savory, chewy, and chicken was fried to perfection. I would've liked more sauce in the noodles though. The tilapia was flaky and also nice and crispy despite sitting in a curry. The pineapple and tomato's paired well. The mee Kathi was the weakest dish of the 3 we got. I felt that the rice noodles were overcooked and limp. The tofu had no flavor inherently but you get that from the curry. Similar curry to the tilapia dish. I think the largest portion because there were so many noodles. I would've also liked more of the cabbage on top for crunch. All to say still solid but would've been better with more spice!

Basil fried fish
Rumi L.

Great food. The spice levels are pretty heavy, I'm Asian and the perfect level was a 5/10 for most dishes. The portions for the mains are pretty big, so the vegetarian papaya salad and the garlic noodles would've been enough for my girlfriend and I. The fish is really flavorful and a great sharing dish, you'll definitely need another main if your sharing it for two. Depending on how you order a meal at kiin can be $15-$40 per person. Well worth the visit!

Garlic Noodles with fried chicken and a chicken, pork, rice with a side sauce. Amazing and will be repeating

This meal lives rent free in my head. Highly recommend. The sauce poured is sweet and the sauce that came with the chicken and pork bowl is delicious.

One of the best meals I've had this year!!…read more Our first time at Pusadee's and definitely won't be the last. We started with drinks, something cozy and new person, same old mistakes. Both delicious. The 17 ingredient salad is highly recommended and we could tell why. So refreshing and flavorful. It was fun finding all of the 17 ingredients. For our entrees I got the crispy shrimp and my boyfriend got the khao soi. Both left us craving more the whole drive home. Staff were so pleasant and happy to answer any questions. Beautiful restaurant, indoor and outdoor. I think next time we visit, we will have a later reservation outside to enjoy the greenery. Make a reservation at least a month in advance!! If not, there are some bar seats available but make sure to get there early.

Finally, I was determined and I booked out probably 2 1/2 months in advance.... And ended up going in the dead of winter. I know that I would've enjoyed my experience much more if we could've sat in the garden, that's probably an excellent vibe. I'm a spicy marg lover so I tried-new person same old mistakes-it didn't really strike me as spicy but more so smoky and I wanted spicy. We did the khao yum-it was unique, I think I would really have loved this. If it was hot out it seems like it would be very refreshing and light and more ideal for the spring and summer and like I said we went in the dead of winter. I did the beef tenderloin as my main and it was good, it wasn't too spicy, had a nice flavor, but I don't know that I would order it again. If it wasn't so hard to get a reservation, I would definitely come here more. I really liked the vibe and the aesthetic.

Very popular Thai spot in Pittsburgh. They have multiple locations as well, including one in…read moredowntown but I went to try this spot in the North Side. It is really good but quite expensive. I got to try their chicken satay, Tom kha soup, pad see ew with tofu, and Thai custard. Now, the Tom kha soup I didn't have very much of, but it was decent. Lots of coconut milk to balance the spice (not too spicy at all), but I'm just not really used to this flavor. The chicken satay, though, was really good. Very lean chicken grilled perfectly with a nice sauce. Definitely recommend. As for the mains, the pad see ew was also very tasty. Quite noodle heavy here, which I don't mind. The vegetables are fresh, and the tofu was nicely cooked. Definitely recommend as well. Finally, the Thai custard. It was also excellent. Interestingly, there's a hint of chocolate as well or something of the sort besides just coconut milk. But still, very good, very creamy, and just a nice dessert. All in all, I really like this spot. They have awesome outdoor seating if you are able to catch it (indoors is great too with all the nice paintings and such but more crowded). Portions are big, but the prices are pretty high as well. Still, I'd recommend.
