It was my first time here and I thought it was just wonderful. Great vibes, quick service and large delicious, fresh tasting portions. There are veggie options and a nice sized menu as well. I recommend Nicky's Thai Kitchen on Mt. Nebo Rd. In North Hills, PA.

Nicky's offers a peaceful ambiance within a busy dine in and take out restaurant. This was my first time dining in at this location on a weekday, and I really enjoyed the tropical sangria happy hour special.

This location has a wonderful outdoor patio, and great seating inside as well. I frequent all of the locations. This time I ordered the Thai iced coffee, fresh spring roles, and the mango salad. All exceptionally tasty!

As always, Nicky's does not disappoint. I've been to each of their locations, and the quality is extremely consistent. Friendly, quick service and a team that also lets you sit for as long as you want! We sat on the patio, and it was sooo nice. Just such a nice atmosphere. Road noise is a little loud and so was the fountain actually, but not too distracting. We ordered crab Rangoon, pad see ew and the pumpkin curry. Everything was delicious, fresh, and portions are great. I'm a lifelong cu

Always a fan of Nicky's. Great food and friendly service. The music is a bit loud, but it's tolerable.

Food is very good. Service is quick. Portions are great. A little packed in there, but makes sense considering their location and trying to maximize seating, so much so there is even a table at the entry of the hall headed to the bathrooms. Honestly my only complaint is really pricing. Even though the portions were nice, I still felt $22 for pad Thai was a bit much and the beer was even more expensive. $10 for a 22oz Sapporo when I can buy the 6 pack for $12.

A group of 12 of us stopped by around 5:30pm on a Sunday for an early dinner. We called when we were on the way and they were able to set up a large table and seat us almost right away. We also let them know we wanted separate checks which they were able to accommodate and added on a 25% automatic gratuity. The inside decor was super cute. It was spacious with a fairly large dining room, little bar area, and also outside patio seating. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my Tom Kha soup and my friends really enjoyed their food and drinks. My one friend did note that his pork belly dish felt like it was spicier than the level three that was requested but otherwise no other complaints food wise. Our service was friendly but they forgot to ever give me my Thai Island Ice Tea that I ordered (they didn't charge me for it and luckily my friend let me try hers) and they tried to give me the regular Tom Kha soup instead of the hotpot version I ordered. We had to call out their mistake and they immediately took my soup back and brought out the correct version later.

I've ordered take out from the Mt Nebo location many times and dined in a couple of times. Yesterday we dined in for lunch. I've had menu items to go from their curry menu, rice dishes as well as their noodle dishes. This time I opted for a salad. I'm not 100% clear on what a traditional Thai salad looks or what it contains so maybe my expectations were set wrong but regardless it wasn't my favorite dish there. Other dishes I've had from here are just okay. Nothing I would order when craving a Thai dish. As for the salad, there was one leaf of lettuce. All of the vegetables were so large nothing was bite size or able to be eaten without it being sliced into several chunks. Biggest complaint, the dish the salad was served in was not large enough to thoroughly slice any of it. I had such a mess of things falling off the plate. The chicken was also dry and hard to slice. Ambiance outside on the patio is delightful. Service was great. Meals are just okay.

The best Thai in Pittsburgh! I have loved Nicky's for many years, especially their North Hills location. I dined in this most recent time; the service is always insanely quick, staff is friendly, and they have a lovely outdoor patio! I got my favorite crab rangoons and pad see ew with beef. They get it right every time!

This location has gone down hill after new management. They nickel and dime every single thing. Rice is the cheapest thing and they charge you for it by not even giving you the whole bowl. Now they have a sign on their door and menu that basically reads you cant share food, unless you have the equal amount of your party to the # of dishes. If you share they charge you a $10 sharing plate fee. Like what?! Also, the size of the plates--appetizer size plates not even dinner plates. We asked to speak to the manager 10 min. after being seated. The bill came out quicker than the manager. We didn't even get to enjoy our meal or evening. horrible service--will never be coming back. They lost a loyal customer. A "2-rating" was just me being generous. Pictures- plate size and the toughest tofu!

Food was very, very tasty. Ambiance is phenomenal. Our server, Jon, was prompt and friendly. I gave 4 stars because the 20% gratuity is quietly added to the check. We caught this by accident as it's a pricey place to begin with. Seems a bit sneaky. We will go back, but will now remember they take the tip regardless of your opinion. (I would've tipped over 20% but was irritated they added their own so I left it at their 20%.)

I've been to Nicky's many times, but have never eaten at this location. We went with a group of 6 and had an early dinner reservation because we were heading over to McLaughlin's Distillery for a tour after. By 5:30pm Nicky's was packed. We started with the combo sampler appetizer (forgot to get a pic) but everything on it was very tasty. The steamed dumplings were my favorite. I had the red curry chicken, spice level 2. It had a nice kick and was the perfect spice level for me. The flavor was great but the chicken was a little dry. My husband had the Phad See Eaw with chicken. The noodles were overcooked and mushy and his chicken was also dry. Most of the rest of our group had the pad Thai, which they all said was very good. And I personally think that's one of the best things on the menu. Overall, I do still really like this place and will continue to go here. I do prefer the north side or downtown locations for ambiance. Even though this location does have an outside patio for the warm weather, I don't think you can beat the outside patio in the northside. It's just a bit cozier.

It's been a long time since we had dinner at Nicky's. Tonight's dinner was a very pleasant experience. We shared the crab Rangoon appetizer and each got pad Thai entree. The food was excellent and the service just as good. We brought our own wine, which was fine, as expected. We agreed that this place needs to be on our regular rotation.

Both delicious. The 17 ingredient salad is highly recommended and we could tell why. So refreshing and flavorful. It was fun finding all of the 17 ingredients. For our entrees I got the crispy shrimp and my boyfriend got the khao soi. Both left us craving more the whole drive home. Staff were so pleasant and happy to answer any questions. Beautiful restaurant, indoor and outdoor. I think next time we visit, we will have a later reservation outside to enjoy the greenery. Make a reservation at least a month in advance!! If not, there are some bar seats available but make sure to get there early.

Finally, I was determined and I booked out probably 2 1/2 months in advance.... And ended up going in the dead of winter. I know that I would've enjoyed my experience much more if we could've sat in the garden, that's probably an excellent vibe. I'm a spicy marg lover so I tried-new person same old mistakes-it didn't really strike me as spicy but more so smoky and I wanted spicy. We did the khao yum-it was unique, I think I would really have loved this. If it was hot out it seems like it would be very refreshing and light and more ideal for the spring and summer and like I said we went in the dead of winter. I did the beef tenderloin as my main and it was good, it wasn't too spicy, had a nice flavor, but I don't know that I would order it again. If it wasn't so hard to get a reservation, I would definitely come here more. I really liked the vibe and the aesthetic.

It is really good but quite expensive. I got to try their chicken satay, Tom kha soup, pad see ew with tofu, and Thai custard. Now, the Tom kha soup I didn't have very much of, but it was decent. Lots of coconut milk to balance the spice (not too spicy at all), but I'm just not really used to this flavor. The chicken satay, though, was really good. Very lean chicken grilled perfectly with a nice sauce. Definitely recommend. As for the mains, the pad see ew was also very tasty. Quite noodle heavy here, which I don't mind. The vegetables are fresh, and the tofu was nicely cooked. Definitely recommend as well. Finally, the Thai custard. It was also excellent. Interestingly, there's a hint of chocolate as well or something of the sort besides just coconut milk. But still, very good, very creamy, and just a nice dessert. All in all, I really like this spot. They have awesome outdoor seating if you are able to catch it (indoors is great too with all the nice paintings and such but more crowded). Portions are big, but the prices are pretty high as well. Still, I'd recommend.
