Fabulous find in Springdale! Most everything was exceptional. My fried chicken was great, but the rest of the fried rice was a letdown, especially compared to how wonderfully flavorful the Basil Salmon and Dumpling Curry were. The Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon are also must-haves. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. read more

Hadnt been here in a while and wanted to treat myself. Got a noodle dish and added extra meat and broccoli. I definitely got the extra meat, not so sure about the broccoli but the issue is to make the meal fit in the same container the noodles really seemed to be skimped on. Again I haven't been in a while so maybe they just serve less noodles now but I had to fish for them. And the noodles are kinda key. Also I got the mango sticky rice and the rice was a congealed block. I could scrape off some rice from the top but my metal spoon didn't want to cut through the very very cooked bottom. I'm always on the hunt for good Thai food and I somehow missed this spot in Springdale. I got to sample quite a few things as we had a group order. The crab rangoons were what I want my crab rangoons to be. They were crispy on top and just absolutely creamy inside. They had good flavor and I'd get these again any time. The Thai spring rolls were exactly how I enjoy them-Lots of cabbage and some carrot. They were tiny, but tasty and crispy. Shrimp Lava had tempura on it and a creamy sauce that had a hint of spice. I'd like them to have a bit more of a kick, but that's just my preference. The batter was crispy and the shrimp was tender. I tried pineapple fries rice with chicken and I was very happy with it. I ordered it at a level 6, and I think I'll look to go up to a 7 next time, but you'll certainly notice it at a 6. The chicken was cooked very nicely as it was tender. The veggies were also cooked nicely. I tried the eggplant with basil and the eggplant was cooked perfectly. It was as tender as I've ever had. The only issue I had is that it felt like the dish was more peppers and onions than anything and we'd all have liked more eggplant. My Wife had the sweet and sour chicken, not to be confused with the breaded chicken you'd often get in Chinese restaurants. My Wife upgraded to fried rice and she said it was fantastic, but she said she didn't like the chicken. For as tender as the proteins were in everything else, the chicken in this dish was very tough and chewy. I tried the Panang curry and was happy with it. The chicken and veggies were cooked nicely here. The curry stood out to me as I felt like it had a touch of spice that I'm not used to. It wasn't hot, but it was unique and I appreciated it. The restraint staff were very friendly and the inside looked very clean and orderly. I heard there was a recently opened Thai spot in Springdale, so naturally, I had to try it out. I wanted to stop in just for a quick snack, so when placing an order for dinner delivery, I added an order of Dee Dee's Thai custard with sticky rice. The place itself is very hole in the wall from the outside. BUT, the food is very good. I didn't get to try much, but this was a great Thai custard. The portion was excellent (although the price is quite high on Doordash at $8, you can get it for $6 directly. For $6, this is a great portion). The flavors were exactly how you want them to be. It's subtly sweet, slightly eggy custard atop of delicious, slightly firm sticky rice with some coconut milk mixed in. If I was being picky, maybe a little more coconut milk would have been even better (like coconut milk splashed on top!) This place also serves all the Thai staples, like pad see ew, pad Thai, curries, dumplings, soups, rolls, salads, rangoons, fried rice, and so on. They also have some more unique items like BBQ, steam buns, zabb noodles, and others. Dee Dee even serves boba, ranging from Thai Tea milk tea to honeydew, mango, chocolate, strawberry, and even taro! All in all, I'm so thrilled to have this place in Springdale. This was our first time ordering from DeeDee's and the food was DELICIOUS! We had Pad Thai, Basil chicken and Yellow curry and we were all very pleased. The service was great. The food was ready when we arrived. The Best Thai food in the area!!! We will be back for sure. read more

Ordered Pickup. Arrived on time, food was ready. Ate shortly after. Didn't get sick. "Thai fired chicken" tasted like Van De Kampf's frozen batter-dipped chicken. Rubbery, dry-ish and tough. Also, cold on the noodle. Straw noodles were OK. ("Zapp noodles") .. "Rice Soup" is basically "Chinese restaurant vegetable soup (wonton broth with rice added)", at least held its heat. Thai See-Eew Noodles were here were "meh" but basically something I'd expect from Anywhere, USA. Cost was aggressive. $70 for "entree" soup, summer roll vegetarian app, two noodle entrees, so-so dessert custard and one extra order of the cheapest side "steamed vegetables" used to beef up their "entree" soup for two people (though I was forced to buy it for a technical reason with DoorDash and Honey). Entrees are a whopping $16 and do not come with anything extra to justify the cost. The "Pumpkin" custard is not 100% coconut milk, definitely contains evaporated milk, but that is not disclosed, and it swam in some sort of juice. Large menu, focusing on some Chinese food as well as Thai, and something called "Thai Pho" ... I guess they mean Vietnamese Pho but in a Thai way. Haven't seen anybody there who is Asian working behind the counter yet. To quote another reviewer: "The spring rolls contained little more than lettuce. They had no mint or crunchy vegetables within." DoorDash store contact info was invalid, but it did work when I paid for it. Having eaten Thai food in Blawnox, Monroeville, Verona (new ownership: also terrible), Pittsburgh and everywhere in between and beyond we were excited to try this based on the google reviews. I encourage you to try for yourself, but we were disappointed. Prices are higher than other Thai food in the area, portion sizes are smaller and flavor was lacking: The red curry chicken lacked flavor; was thin and lacking in vegetables. The chicken was slightly rubbery. The peppers were too firm, more than al dente. The spring rolls contained little more than lettuce. They had no mint or crunchy vegetables within. Lastly, the Tom Yum was too acidic and salty likely from the tomatoes and had a strong flavor of cabbage which it did contain. Maybe they had a really bad day but I only hope this constructive feedback leads to improvement so we can give them another try sometime far down the road. One IMPORTANT message: Do NOT trust Google reviews. I posted this exact same review on Google and they will not post it. I believe that Google reviews are cherry picked by Google to slant things in a positive, not objective light. read more

It's really great to have a place near where I live now to get bubble tea! I thought the flavor of this was really yummy! The crushed ice was also a nice touch! Family run Thai restaurant in Spingdale PA. The service was very good but the star was the food. I asked for medium spice on a dish I have never had before and they hit it just right. I was amazed at the combination of flavors and spices. My wife doesn't like spice and her dish was blend of spices without the heat. She normally doesn't seek out Thai food but she wants to go back to Dee Dee's very soon. read more

I stopped into Dee Dee's Thai Restaurant in Springdale, Pa. for dinner recently. They have quite an extensive menu with many meat entrees or meatless, to choose from. Each delicious dish has a description of all ingredient, which is tremendously helpful for those unfamiliar with the titles. After contemplating for awhile, I decided on Duck Noodle Soup, suggested by another diner. The soup had plenty of hearty noodles, duck meat and a rich favorable broth Not a fan of spicy food, once the soup cooled down, it became less spicy and I was able to finish the entire bowl. I tried the sticky rice dessert and found it to be delectable. I look forward to my next visit for one of their curry dishes.
