Decides to try this place today for lunch and it's not disappointing AT ALL. From walking into the restaurant and getting a to go order; everyone was so nice. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with hellos and smiles. (Which we're finding out very quickly seems to be a thing here, compared to the south shore where everyone seems annoyed) so it's a breath of fresh air. I ordered the brisket and steak pho and summer rolls which is shrimp and pork. ITS SO GOOD! I craved pho during my first pregnancy and here I am again craving it again, yay! I will most definitely be back to try other stuff. Thank you for such great service today

The problem is we live in Houston and only come to the area to see my parents twice every year. On our final night, he said he wanted to go to Tavi. Wish granted. We got a reservation on Open Table (highly recommend) and headed that way. Will was our server (and was also the bartender). He was incredible. He explained how the kitchen has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items so celiacs and gluten intolerant folks won't react. Words cannot express how much that means to us. Additionally, they could do the fried chicken hummus and use rice flour to bread it instead of wheat. We ordered it. Upon arrival, it was so incredibly good. They brought fresh vegetables (crudite) to use instead of pita (it's $8, but they are homegrown and fresh). My husband, who can have all the gluten in the world, enjoyed his with pita. He put it on his plate. The pita also came with olive oil and is made in house. You can watch them bake it in the wood-fired oven. The pita is also the base for the flatbreads. When it came time to order our real food, I got the shrimp and subbed couscous for the rice. It was like a fried Israeli rice with pistachios. Lots of crunch and excellent. The shrimp came in a New Orleans style bbq sauce. I could have drank just the sauce (and taken some years off of my life cause it was butter). My husband had the lamb shawarma since they were half off on Saturday. His came with fries. He was so impressed. If you come and split an appetizer, you could easily split a shawarma. The portions are huge (not on the shrimp, though). You definitely need reservations if you have a larger party. It's not too loud inside, but there's ongoing chatter in the background. I'd also recommend planning on staying at least an hour. They won't rush around. Parking can be a pain, so allow extra time for that. We will definitely be back!!

There's is unique because they don't use the breading. That may sound unusual but it's yummy and cuts way back on the carbs. Most items come in 2 different sizes. One more family size and one more fit 1-2 people. You can also buy a lot of items either fresh or frozen. I do think it's important to note that items are not cheap, if you think of it as creating a meal and figure up how many people you feed, it's not much more than you would spend buying something out that's probably not that good. The owner's son is usually there when we drop by and he usually always helpful and nice! The shop is small but full of their homemade dishes as well as a nice variety of local products from artisans. I really appreciate that they support other locals! Drop in and buy something to try. You may decide the quality and convenience is worth the little extra cost!

There are plenty of vegetarian options which is a definite plus and it's not your generic fare. Creative recipes make me so happy and there is plenty to try here. Yes, Tessier is pricey, but I've found you do get quality ingredients. One long pull of melted cheese after you take the macaroni out of the oven shows you the love they put into hand-grating for maximum melt-age. You've just got to watch out and ask about pricing on some things because at times it's not clearly labeled. Stick to the fridges and freezers where the prices are really obvious! The one issue I've had with Tessier is actually related to our first visit. Hubs wanted to grab a bag of croutons to go with his tomato soup. We were informed that the croutons would be discounted because some had been left in the oven for far too long and were very dark. The words used were pretty much "we can't in good conscience sell these for full price." Hey, why not? Discount! He's not too picky. Except after leaving and checking my text receipt (you don't get to see the things being rung up as it's happening) we saw that first of all, the little bag of croutons was a ridiculous FIVE DOLLARS, and our discount on what ended up being half a bag that went to the birds was around forty cents.

The music added an interesting touch to the overall dining experience. The service was fairly good--our waitress was polite and checked in periodically, though she did disappear for stretches of time, which us in a left a bit of a gap in attentiveness. But, when she returned, she was helpful and accommodating. The food was very enjoyable overall. One standout was the Lebanese tea, which, even without the pine nuts, had a great flavor and was a highlight of the meal. Most of the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, though the chicken in the Shawarma plate was a little dry. Despite that, the generous portions and authentic flavors made the meal satisfying. Lastly, I believe this place delivers a welcoming ambience, friendly service with room for a little more consistency, and delicious food with a few small areas for improvement. I'd gladly return, especially for the tea and the relaxed atmosphere.

I had a El jefe.which is their version of an Old Fashioned. To be honest I liked it better than the typical Old Fashioned. They have a great wine list too. My wife ordered the creamy goat cheese tapas (appetizer) and it great. Very light and tasty. My in-laws ordered the Setas al Ajillo. I typically go here every year for my birthday and then we typically make it back another time or two throughout the year. I always get the pork chop, as you can tell from the photos I uploaded which are all from different visits. The menu here is always changing which can sometimes be a bad thing however, all the new items and different preparations of the main stays are always delicious. The only bad thing about a menu that changes is your favorite dish may not always be available. Luckily, at this place trying something new typically pays off. I have only gotten something other than pork chop once and it was a braised beef dish, which was great. My Wife typically gets a pasta dish which is always fantastic. We typically try a new app or two along with a salad. Their salads are always changing but the flavor combinations they come up with are awesome. We had a salad one time with Gorgonzola, apple, shallot, candied pecans and a vinaigrette that was one of the best salads we ever had. Their desserts also change and some of them are seasonal. One visit they had a pistachio cheesecake available, which was 10/10. Last year their seasonal sorbet was muscadine, also 10/10. Their wine selection is great and the service is always the best! Food critics typically say a restaurant that gets a 9 out of 10 or higher is worth more than an hour long wait or drive that is a few hours. This place hits that mark for my Wife and I.
