Enjoyed the steamed dumplings and tofu Pad Thai here today. Delicious food! Beautiful restaurant with nice place setting before dining. Lovely decorative plates and folded up (origami bird-looking, for lack of a better description :)) napkins on the plates. Thought it would be a little more costly, judging by the table presentation, gorgeous restaurant, and well dressed, mannerly servers, but you can easily have a $10 entree there. Meh. Had the Tai Basil for lunch. It tasted okay but the portion size was small. I'm still hungry. It's nice and clean though. I've eaten here once before and had a decent meal at night. Maybe it's better to eat here at night. I travel through here all the time. I prefer this other Tai place down in the old historic part of town. It's in an old house off the beaten path. I think it's called Sala. That's where I would go for Tai food around here. read more

I was staying at a nearby hotel and found Thai Spice via Yelp. It was probably the best chicken pad Thai I have had in years. Would highly recommend trying Thai Spice if you are in the area. Much better than going to some of the chains nearby. read more

Excellent vegetarian spring rolls and tofu green curry. Nice dim lighting, too.

Very good food here. The lunch special for about 8 bucks came with soup and a lightly fried spring roll. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken, medium spicy. The flavor of the noodles was fantastic, and there was a perfect amount of veggies in the dish... Plus basil of course. My only complaint is that the chicken was pretty dry. All in all I left full and happy. I would definitely come back, and I'd love to try the mango sticky rice if I can leave room for it. read more

They have the best Pad Thai on the Northshore. Spring rolls and wings are yummy. I love the orange that they give us with the check. We always are waited on by the same guy, and he is very sweet. The only negative would be that occasionally we have over cooked shrimp in our pad Thai. read more

Have been about 5 or 6 times. Love the fried tofu appetizer! Always get Pad Thai and some other dish. I love it with shrimp. My family lived the green curry with duck. Always good food, and service is great. read more

Tasty but mild dishes for those of us who can't eat Thai peppers any more. The fish dishes and appetizers are my favorites. I also love their dumplings and satay. The prices are moderately high, but not outrageous. The service is good, and the chilled orange sections they bring at the end of the meal are wonderful. read more

Friendly, Clean, and Great food! Thai spice is hands down the best Thai food on the Northshore. The lunchtime buffet isn't that big, but offers a wide verity of authenic Thai food, some spicy and some not. Thai Spice is a great bang for your buck,and I would recondmend it to anyone! read more

Service was excellent. When I walked in the door, there were 2 other tables occupied and 1 waiter. Within minutes the restaurant filled to 7 tables and 1 person sitting at the bar. Our waiter was able to keep everyone's food and drinks served in a very efficient manner. I ordered the fried dumplings and chichen pad thai. Both were excellent. This Is one of my regular lunch spots. My go to dish is the curry noodles with pork which I order Thai hot. The flavor is great and you don't need to add anything. The lunch specials are hard to beat. You get a sweet and sour soup and spring roll before your meal arrives. The sweet and sour soup is like nothing you usually have at a Chinese takeout. This soup itself is worth the visit. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The owner is very friendly and takes time to talk to guests. Do yourself a favor and go eat here! read more

Nice place in St Tammany. When you walk in (for lunch at least) they immediately bring you soup - I guess it come with every lunch. Hot and Sour, but it had a smokey undertone that was excellent. Lunch was.Pad Woon Sen , rice noodles with shrimp and fresh veggies. No sauce but tons of flavor. Very tasty. I would highly recommend. read more

Food was traditional Thai. Restaurant was clean service was solid. They took extra care to have nice plates. Price for 2 people with entrees and appetizers was $34 before tip. Unreal price for value. read more

Worst lunch and service on the Northshore! The luncheon food is cooked ahead of time and kept lukewarm to dish out to the lunch patrons. When I requested a dinner menu item with the shrimp fried to order, they said they had to serve the shrimp from the batch that is cooked for lunch. The waitress asked me how I could tell the difference, I told her I knew how to cook, and shrimp cooked like that were over cooked and rubbery. The Pad Woon Sen glass noodles were soupy and bland, rather than stir fried and tasty. My husband ordered Thai Cashew Nut which was supposed to be a sauté of hot dried chilies etc., totally tasteless. I had to get up twice to request chili sauce the only time the waitress appeared at our table was to give us the check, and asked how was our lunch. When I asked her if she wanted the truth, she said no, and walked off. If you eat there, be prepared for mass produced, over cooked, reheated bland, tasteless food and lousy service. Thai fast food at it's worse..... Needless to say we will never eat there again. I really wanted to rate this restaurant with a minus star, not worth one star! read more

I've been going to Thai Spice for about 6 years. I work nearby and it's always been convenient, tasty, and inexpensive. Additionally, the service has always been very friendly. I went about 3 months ago and there was a new server -- a woman with glasses. I assume it is the server the last review is speaking of. She's joyless, rude, and sarcastic. The food was good that time, but it made me not want to go back. Well, I sucked it up and went yesterday, and she's still there. I asked her if they made the spring rolls fresh, and she sarcastically responded, "No, we buy them at the store down the road." I chuckled nervously rather than cause a scene. I then asked if, in that case, they could make one with meat and one without (I'm vegetarian and my friend is not). The answer came as bluntly as the "joke" -- no, we can't. Why? No response. I asked for my dish to be "Thai hot" and I was told if it was too hot for my taste, I "could not send it back." Fair enough. However, when the dish arrived (containing much less food than this dish has in the past, in my experience), there was NO spice at all. None. My friend's dish was lukewarm and quickly turned cold. The worst part? Neither of us wanted to say anything because the female server is so unfriendly and forbidding. We just wanted to get out of there. We left after giving a 15% tip -- much less than I usually give, and about 15% more than she deserved. Thai Spice...you just lost a loyal customer. read more
