Great atmosphere and attentive staff everyone speaks to you. The food was delicious, and quick. The drinks were really good. All in all I suggest trying it for lunch or dinner or anytime. read more

I was so excited to see a Thai spot open my work! I've come here twice now, ordering the pad see ew during lunch time and then red curry during dinner another time. For lunch, it's a great value only being $10 for receiving a choice of a spring roll or veggie dumplings, soup of the day (I had tom kha gai), and then your meal. The pad see ew wasn't as flavorful as I hoped it would be, but it's not the worst I've had. I would definitely recommending calling ahead to order to avoid the lunch time rush- it can get busy around 12-1. For dinner, it was weird that the portions seemed smaller than lunch time? The red curry had a nice spice to it- not much else to notice about the dish. Service was quick and attentive though! Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but since I have the convenience of this being right across my office that probably the best part lol read more

Thai Select is a lovely restaurant. The service is very fast, and the servers are extremely kind. If you have kids I would strongly recommend the Bumble Bee it's a delicious meal. The Bubble tea is very high quality, it's absolutely amazing! This restaurant is a strong 5! read more

Food was above average. Ambiance was not bad. Service is where they can improve. When we gave them a feed back about the inconsistency about the same dish we order second time, they didn't take take it properly, they need to learn to take the feedback. The worst part is they added TIP of 18% without notifying us for a group of 5 only. In general it is too expensive for the quantities they are serving. read more

Super quick delivery and service. Everyone is very kind and willing to accommodate changes as needed. The lunch deal is perfectly priced and comes with a spring roll and large portions. Both the lunch and dinner portions are large and freshly made read more

If there is an option for 0 star, I'd definitely choose it. The food in generall is nothing special. But the bill is ridiculous. First, they added the tip amount THEMSELVES to the total without asking the customers. At that time I was okay with it because it was within 15-18% range. However, few days later, the bank app informed that the amount actually charged was even higher than that. THEY DOUBLE-TIPPED THEMSELVES!! Afterall they got 30% for their so-so service. Now I understand why there were so many take-out orders during our dine-in service. read more

This place was okay. Was having high hopes but the food was just kinda sour. Their sauce is sour.

Traveling with our 4 kids (10-16). We visited Thai Select 2x. Best bang for the buck. Great service and delicious good fast. No kids menu, but the orange chicken was a hit. read more

Food was good, honestly a lot better than Buuz Thai eatery down the street. Only complaints were that the dinner portion was ridiculously small and the bubbles in their bubble tea were stale. I would recommend increasing the portion size and cooking the bubbles in smaller batches more frequently. read more

Thai Select - Chicken Pad Thai (dinner portion) - Thai Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

If you like sweet Thai food, this is the place for you. Everything we tried was too sweet. The pad Thai was too sweet. The T-Rex and the dipping sauces tasted like pure molasses. We asked for everything we ordered to be spicy. Nothing came out spicy. The service was fine. Everyone was friendly. read more

Ordered takeout from here twice, and the only reason I ordered the second time is because they have a ghost kitchen listed under "Mandarin Express" and I didn't realize it was the same place. Sweet and sour chicken was just some ok, non-breaded chicken tossed with some undercooked vegetables (which included tomatoes for some reason?) and drowning in a watered down sweet and sour sauce with no flavor, all accompanied by stale rice that appeared to have been cooked earlier that day and kept on a warmer. If you're just ordering pho or soup, it's fine, but if you want to get anything from the grill, look elsewhere read more

Just got Thai food from this restaurant delivered tonight and it exceeded all expectations. Food was delivered 30 minutes earlier than anticipated and it was hot and delicious. Chicken pad Thai was amazing.. strongly recommend. read more

Just bad food. If you say you want spicy, you will get no spice. Kinda made me nauseous. Sorry.

This is my go-to Thai restaurant when I am I. The DD/Arlington area for work. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the THAI RAMA and there are a plethora of vegan and vegetarian options. The spice level is true to the scale and consistent, nothing irritates me more than ordering medium spice and getting medium one day and Thai spice another. Thai select will not let you down. Next time I will take pictures and update my review. Try it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I've ordered delivery from here a couple times for lunch on Uber eats- the drunken noodles are great! Very spicy and flavorful and a good portion for the price! I have been very happy each time and i definitely recommend for your Thai food needs. read more

Food was amazing. Everything had really great flavor and lunch special was a crazy good deal.

The food here is really good. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. I eat here from time to time on my lunch break and the food is always nice and fresh! I love spicy food and this does not disappoint! I get the Basil Fried Rice with chicken or shrimp. Definitely recommend! read more

The food tasted rotten/stale. Not good quality vegetables or meat. We ordered 10 items and none of them had any flavor except the Tom Kha.

Don't order shrimp tempura, it was so crispy I could barely eat it. I had to go back to work but sad to say I would never eat here again

Excellent drunken noodles and Thai iced tea and fast and courteous service. Just happened to spontaneously stop by this area of D.C. and found this little Thai gem! They have outdoor dining for extra safety and social distancing measures in these covid times. Everything was clean and orderly and prompt. Highly recommend if you're into drunken noodles or pad Thai! read more

Would not recommend especially the bubble tea. I have not tried the authentic Pad Thai so I wouldn't be able to know if they are good.

Thai Select has a nice selection of vegan items, including bubble tea smoothies, which I was able to try through a check-in offer. I had the drunken noodles with tofu, and it wasn't bad. It just wasn't my favorite. It wasn't good enough for me to finish at the restaurant. The same could be said about my taro soy milk tea-yet another mediocre Thai restaurant in America except this one has clear vegan options listed and a crowded tight shopping center parking lot. read more

Great spot. Highly recommend efficient, friendly staff. Don't miss out on eating here! One of the few dine-in spots in COVID-shutdown Arlington, VA! read more

Food was disappointing . I ordered curry and majority of it was noodles with barely any curry. The drunken noodles my friend ordered was also not that great. The papaya salad was also very average. read more

So glad this place is in the neighborhood! The food is fresh and very flavorful. I've liked everything I've tried so far - green curry, pad see ew, garlic noodles, chicken kaprow, pad thai. They've only been open a short while, but I've already been back multiple times. Good prices, generous portions, friendly owners. read more

I've ordered from here (I-Thai, which is apparently merged with Thai Select) a couple of times, with low expectations. Basil eggplant can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. However, this will be my last time ordering from this restaurant, and I finally made a Yelp account due to how offended I was by the size-to-price ratio. Absurdly small portions (ruler for scale in pics). I used a discount code and utilized their promotional "buy 1 get 1 free" offers, so maybe that's why they felt the need to decrease the size of the spicy tuna roll so drastically. Note that the tuna roll picture contains two portions at $7.50 each, so you would be paying $15 for what is shown without using a promotional offer. I know I shouldn't expect much for sushi from a Thai restaurant, but the rolls were haphazardly put together. Small portions of rice given with entrees. Small crab rangoons. Small curry puffs. Small everything. I assume the only reason people go here is proximity, because you can get same/better and more food elsewhere in VA for the same or lower price. read more

Thai select is always a Sunday go to for me. Their spring rolls and panang curry is the best!

I had the spicy tuna roll--tuna was fresh, pickled ginger was fresh, sushi held together & had just the right amount of rice. Would order again. read more

The food is delicious especially the chicken curry and stir-fried garlic. You should also try the thai ice tea. Best thai food restaurant in the area. read more

Was looking for a good Thai spot in ny neighborhood and found this place, and it was great. I got the beef kaprow as a test plate, and I was impressed. It was flavorful, the beef was tender, and had a side of broccoli. It could've been spicier but I like spicy. Still got lots more to try but I would definitely recommend. read more

Love the have combo options I was able to order pad Thai and drunken noodles for 13 bucks and it was plenty of food

Good Thai food. Zagat rated (2016). Ambiance is on a poor side though. Open Kitchen area with noisy environment.

I took my family to this restaurant a few days ago and it is beyond bad. The people are nice. They are all about volume and have forgotten quality. read more

Was skeptical but I highly recommend. They served large portions and enjoyed the Pad Thai with minced chucked, basil fried rice with minced beef and the Penang curry with puffy fried tofu and vegetable. read more

I just went there and order a Orange chicken and General Tso's chicken, those dishes are usually in another places very good. This restaurant cooked the chicken so dry (I could not eat it), but the manager said the is the way they cooked, so... I have to have pain when I chew it! 15.00 dlls. each and I just throw away because they cook chicken that way! Be careful what you eat in that place! read more

This place just opened and funny enough I was their first customer! Their food is great and their lunch specials are definitely worth it. This new find in the Rosalyn area has great customer service and atmosphere. Definitely recommend. read more

The kitchen is visible from the cash register. The cooks did not wear masks! It's unfortunate because this was my local Thai choice. I will NOT be back. read more

This is my second time to this restaurant. The first time was take out. The green chicken curry, spring roll and pad wonsen tasted like an Americanized version of Thai and absolutely terrible. I just tried the restaurant again. The cooks are cooking Amerizanized Chinese Food, not Thai food. They should fire the cooks. They dont have a clue of what Thai food is or how it is supposed to Taste. The calamari was dry and overcooked with too much breading. The pad prak seafood had no flavor or taste and the Seafood Soup was made with a chicken broth with tomato sauce and overcooked seafood. The service was even worst. It was a,Completely disastrous experience. For real Thai food, drive 10 minutes south to Bangkok 54 on Columbia Pike in Arlington. read more

This was appallingly bad. At first my gripe was with the several orders of sushi that I had - it didn't taste bad, but each sushi roll was about the size of a quarter. The entrees that we ordered were also disappointingly small, but it turned out to be kind of ok, because the dishes were absolutely flavorless. Hopefully natural selection takes its course, because this was truly bad. read more

Had a very good lunch with one of my friends. They included a coconut soup and spring roll with each order which was perfect for only $9.99! I ordered the red curry with chicken which was cooked perfectly and my friend had the basil eggplant which had great flavor! Will come back soon and highly recommend read more
